We have used Hurst Tiger regularly ever since it opened. The quality has always been high and it is consistent from take out to take out. Always our curry house of choice. They started delivery after a while which means we don't look anywhere else.

Ordered food lately from this place and picked it up. The guy the not really friendly told me I have to wait another 10 min ... so looking around a bit not really inviting I have to say if this is the same picture in the kitchen... hmm. Food was nothing special M&S has better food and taste better. And ... the prices are unbelievable! I wouldn’t recommend.

We've been going here for as long as it's been open and it is faultless. The food is always great and Jitu is one of the friendliest people I've ever met. Every single curry we've had from here over the years has been delicious and I'm very picky! Fantastic value for money too, shame I can't take Hurst Tiger with me to university! Ignore all bad reviews- this is a great takeaway with delicious food.

Firstly it was a Saturday night and this place was empty. I'd ordered online and then went to collect. Pros Thick curry sauce Large chunks of chicken Fluffy boiled rice Firm cauliflower No coriander as requested Hot food (I live 10 minutes drive away) Cons The chicken tikka was dry and looked as if it had been grilled and not "tandoored" (potentially reheated after initial cook) The chicken madras was bland, soleless and was a spiced up curry (no depth) The side dishes (Cauliflower and Mushroom bhajis) were 50% onion (hot dog style) and covered in what looked like mustard seed Verdict - Would I go back? In a word No. The food was bland and absolutely no flavour.

This is our favourite Indian now by far, we have tried them all and nothing comes close to Hurst Tiger. Faultless every time and you always have that great feeling that you have had a damn fine meal. Portions, taste, quality are 10 for 10.

Since trying the Hurst Tiger it is now my favourite curry take away. I am always delighted by the food. The food has proper ingredients and wonderful flavour. You can tell as you eat your curry that really ingredients have gone into it, it isn't just a paste and the fantastic taste supports that! I popped into the Tiger in the day to get some lunch (they are a bakery in the day who serve baguettes, sandwiches, paninis etc) and had a good chat with the owner. He is incredibly enthusiastic about providing good food and service. After chatting for a while he offered to show me around the kitchen. It looks like he has invested a lot in his kitchen and the business to get provide the standards he is looking for. They keep expanding their services making it all to easy to order from them. Great for a celebration, comfort food, a treat or you just fancy some great curry. Their website is easy to use and you can request a call back for card payment over the phone. They are now open 7 days a week so super convenient. As the meals are prepared by hand you can add notes to request changes to your order. My wife can't stand any spice heat so I can ask for her korma with not a single bit of heat in it (yes some kormas are sometimes too hot for her. I don't understand it either). As you can probably tell I am a big fan of all they do. I have used many different curry houses in Wokingham in the past and got despondent to the bland different colour pastes with loads oil they provided. The Hurst Tiger has saved me from bland curries and I find every new dish I try from them is unique in flavour and always enjoyable. Now I am stuck with the decision of what dish? They have all be soo good.

We recently tried this takeaway when the Spice Lounge in Wargrave was taken over by Haweli. ....as we thought the food was fabulous. We were delighted with the Hurst Tiger though.....easy online ordering and good delivery service. The food though is very good. ....you get the sense that it is not massed produced but authentic and also not greasy or oily which Indian food can sometimes be. We're now regular customers and have enjoyed trying various dishes. You won't be disappointed.

We are spoilt for choice in terms of Curry in the Wargrave/Twyford area, but for me the Hurst Tiger is the best of the lot. I ordered a delivered meal that arrived promptly and was perfectly cooked. The Naan bread was fantastic and so fresh. The mushroom rice had clearly been cooked using fresh vegetables and not from a tin, high class food at a reasonable (not cheap) price. full marks and highly recommended.

Ordered takeaway for delivery yesterday after reading reviews and we weren't disappointed. It is far and away the best Indian takeaway we've ever had! Ordered online and told it would be 45 minutes and it was delivered bang on time. The food is delicious and even as good as that served in restaurants in Goa. Will definitely use than again. This is a hidden gem - so just place your order and enjoy! Absolutely superb!

My husband popped into the local bakery and they told him they did takeaway Indian food so naturally we had to try it that evening! It was delicious! Quick delivery, good quality food, large portions. They even called afterwards to ask how it was. Lovely family run business by the sounds of it. Thoroughly recommend.

We've been going to the Hurst Tiger for a couple of years now. Every time the food is excellent. If we have guests down for the weekend we'll often get takeaway and our guests comment without fail just how good the food is too. We've spent time on holiday in India and I can safely say that the food is as good as the food we've had in India..not something I say lightly and it's unusual for it to be so good outside the subcontinent. Our favourites are the prawn biryani, tark dhal, paratha and the dhansak. And, now they deliver too its even better Thanks Sally

I called in by chance thinking it would be good to support a local business after discovering the post office shop was closed. The guy was impatient and rude when I asked if things came with rice and how long it would take to cook. His attitude was so bad I politely told him I was leaving and he told me to get out as I opened the door to go. It was an entirely inappropriate response. He clearly didn't want me to be his customer! Even if the food is good, I wouldn't support the place after that. Really disappointing.

We live in Wokingham but thought we would give it a try as the reviews looked good. The food we ordered was good with a special mention for the onion bhajis. However, it was comparatively expensive with no discount for collection. My advice would be to have your order delivered even if you live around the corner! I think we may live too far away for free delivery (though I did not check). Although it was good it was not exceptional. So will not be returning.

Asked for refund and was told next time I order I will get some extras ( I live 220 miles away, but I am in the area most weeks let's see what happens)

The cuisine is actually Bangladeshi not Indian as such. However, the food is really great and in my opinion superior to all the local Indian restaurants and takeaways in the area. It is freshly cooked, not greasy and always has a 'home cooked - pride taken in preparation' experience associated with each takeaway we have tried. Well worth a visit.

It's a little pricier than most takeaways but this bakers-by-day-takeaway-by-night does do an awesome curry and hey, you get what you pay for! This place has definitely become our Friday night treat. Really fresh food (veggies taste crisp!) and some different and more inventive dishes than your average takeaway. Feels good to be able to have great food from here which doesn't leave the usual greasy takeaway after taste! Totally recommend this place!

We had family over and decided on an Indian! This is not the closest, but it certainly is the best, so worth the journey! As we had a large order, they agreed to deliver to us and what a lovely meal! Such a nice team and to offer delivery when they do not offer the service, really nice touch! Menu is online and food is worth the journey!

Having used Hurst Tiger previously for takeaways, we popped in on our way back from an early evening drink to but some Naan breads to accompany our home made curry waiting for us in the slow cooker. The very friendly gentleman at the till willingly took our order, albeit small, but after taking the order out to the kitchen, we were told in no uncertain terms by the owner that, whilst they would sell us the naans on this occasion, in future we could only buy them if we ordered a main course. Having previously petitioned in support of the takeaway opening in the village and having supported it on a number of occasions through both purchases and recommendations, we found the attitude of the owner quite bewildering. On checking the menu we couldn't see anything to suggest a minimum order value or that any items could only be purchased as part of a meal so can only assume the Hurst Tiger thinks a £5 spend is not worthy of its time or effort. Also the naans were disappointing and certainly not a patch on the ones we have had previously from there. We wont be using Hurst Tiger again.

I visit this establishment every day and can say I have always received the best service, friendly and helpful. The food is excellent from both the Bakery/Cafe and in the evenings from the takeaway, it's freshly made sandwiches, rolls, Panini's & Toasties are made to order as well as customised to suit (delishious). All the freshly cooked Bangladeshi food is to die for, the best quality, taste an presentation I and my friends and family have had. The chicken & lamb is so tender an the fish curry is just delishious. The atmosphere in the Bakery/Cafe and Takeaway is very friendly with regular customers helping to create a convivial feeling. I meet people every day and weekly get together with other customers helping to make a convivial inviroment.

wouldn't describe as a restaurant although there are tables and chairs available I assume for those who pop in for a snack or the breakfast they offer. I visited to collect a takeaway. The food was ready after a few minutes of me arriving, had forgotten to order pickles with the papadums and they were offered free of charge, perhaps as I said it was my first visit. Have to say the content of lamb and chicken in the 2 main dishes we had was very good, far to often with takeaways there is more sauce than meat, not the case here, hopefully they maintain this standard. All in all the food was very tasty and a nice touch we had a call to ask if we had enjoyed the meal. Naturally they are trying to promote the business and I wish them well if the standard of food is maintained they will hopefully do well. I for one will return.

Having become slightly disillusioned with take away food in Wokingham, I thought I would try something new from Hurst Tiger. Immediately the staff were very accommodating and enthusiastic about their new venture when I called into the day time bakery to sus things out. I decided to order a Jalfrezi and a Tarka Dhal with pilau. Both dishes were well spiced, fragrant and very balanced. Service was excellent. I picked up my food after 15 minutes. Portion sizes are good with large chunks of very moist chicken. Will definately try the range of dishes on offer over the summer. Highly recommended.

I tried the food here after a local recommendation. This place is primarily a takeaway restaurant based on an established bakery with a small number of tables available. The menu includes a number of dishes that were a first for me- try the Beef Shath Kora (cooked with lemon - a taste combination that I have never had before and it really worked. We had ordered for four people so we could try a range of their dishes and we were all impressed.Tiger Chicken also went down well with everyone. The balance of flavours and quality of cooking was a cut above the usual takeaway fare, enough to persuade one couple to state it was the best in Wokingham.

Best Indian food in the area. Lovely poppadoms that are crispy and fresh. Naan breads are soft inside but have crispy leoparding on the top. Rice is always great not dry or oily. Main meals have the best spices and flavour. Vegetable korma is the bomb 👍 When it comes to hot curries some places skimp on spices but not this place they are HOT 🔥🔥🔥. Staff are friendly with prices very good
