My partner and I have ate our way through the menu over the last few months and haven't got anything to grumble about. Ashlee and Liv and Ben and Mark and Mary and Maria are all hard working and courteous members of staff, the reason I haven't named anyone else is because I haven't learnt their names yet. It has become my regular place for eating out. Such good value.

We went after my father in laws funeral at 12.30 as he had been there with us before and liked it. The food all came up together for the 10 of us. It was hot , the order was all correct and it was very good value. There seemed to be only one bar maid/ manager a blonde lady working. She was very efficient. and friendly. We weren't rushed at all. You do have to order at the bar and we opened a tab The disabled toilet was clean and easily accessible . A very positive experience

We had such a lovely time. The manager was amazing and the rest of the staff. We booked for 17 of us and the food kept rolling out so we ate together which was lovely. The food was great and puddings. Definitely will go back as the price was fantastic as well. Thanks so much for all you did.

The food never disappoints, friendly staff the bar manager (18/2/24) @ 14.00 was managing the busy bar & food orders she was professional friendly & calm, it was so so busy the waiting staff & chef were run off their feet , trying to clear tables of plates glasses etc, we will be coming back 😀

Having recently moved to the area we were delighted to find this pub, first couple of visits the food and service was really good. However the past 4 times we've been in there a member of staff there (who had previously been really rude to us when serving us but we let it slide because the wait staff were exceptional and made up for her shortcomings), this lady (i use this term lightly) wasn't working, but was visibly drunk, she was annoying other tables by keep sitting with them and talking, she was going in and out the kitchen and behind the bar much to the staff that were working annoyance. I don't mean to get personal but when she approached our table slurring her words the lack of personal hygiene put us off our food, the smell was overpowering. If this was a one time thing we could of let it slide but its practically everytime we go in there now, she often has her child with her who she leaves whilst she is in and out of the kitchen or drinking with other tables, offering her discount if they buy her a drink. She kept referring to it as "her pub" so I'm assuming she is the manager?? Which is maybe why the staff are scared to tell her even though it is very obvious she is a pest to people just wanting to enjoy dinner and drinks. It's such a shame because we really thought we'd found a gem.

Mary and her staff made us most welcome from the moment we arrived. All of our meals were served in a very reasonable time and all starters and mains were lovely and hot. Our desserts were really lovely. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

Awful customer service waiter swearing as we complained booked reservation for 5.30pm it was 8.15pm and still family had not received there meal. Complained before to manager and again another bar staff rude no customer service experience what so ever. Avoid chavs running the joint

Went there today and was met by the rudest man/ manager just through the door and he’s shouting from behind the bar stay where you are more than once ☹️ Then we were asked to sign in but we didn’t have the track trace app so we asked can we write our details down and again he raised his voice saying no it has to be the app ☹️ With that we left and we won’t be going back which is a shame because we have been going there with family and friends for a couple of years ☹️ We ended up going to the woodman just down the road and what a difference they couldn’t do enough for you really friendly helpful and just really lovely place to go wheather eating or just for a drink
