Popped in on a friend's recommendation - loved it! Great range of options, decent mug of coffee, will definitely return when I'm in the area again.

If you want friendly service, good choice and fantastic value then this is the place. We stopped here as we did a Google search for something to eat after visiting a nearby hospital and it was close-by, very glad we did. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our meals came with a hot drink. The food was tasty and fresh. Two cooked meals with a hot drink cost £9.30. My pie and chips was excellent and would easily have cost that by itself in most pubs. The coffee was a good quality tasty filter coffee as well, not a cheap instant. Really impressed, we won't have to search next time we are in the area, will definitely return.

Good breakfast, well-cooked, good value. Friendly, helpful staff. I think this is a very good cafe..it has water in a big water dispenser, which you can help yourself to. Also does gluten-free breakfasts for those who need them. Free top-ups for tea or coffee (at least when with a meal, I don't know about otherwise). Lollipops for children (though that may not be a good point for anyone who wants to limit their children's sweet intake, but am not sure if they routinely offer them, or if you have to ask). The cafe even has Worcestershire Sauce..a big plus for me..I love it on cheese on toast. I only know of one other cafe that has it. Oh, the questions below said does the cafe have table service or waters. I answered 'not sure', because one orders at the counter, but someone brings the food over to your table...so it's kind of not one thing or the other!

Reading that this cafe had a 1-star review I thought a personal visit was required. I ordered a bacon butty with red sauce for £2.50 which arrived in 10-15 mins. See the photos. The cafe was clean and had several customers inside and outside. Nobody was complaining, so my advice is : it’s worth a visit!!

We were informed that this was quite the diner... SPOILER ALERT, we were misinformed. I’ve generally had better looking and tasting bowel movements than this soppy plate of tat. You could still drown a midget in the shallow end of this grease pool. I think the tramps rummaging through the bins would of had a better dish after a Saturday night. Hands down as the title states.. worst breakfast ever. Best wishes xx

I have eaten from here in the past and it has been good. Unfortunately, not enough care is taken to remove the bones from the chicken for the jerk wraps. The mishap resulted in a dental problem for me; a painful tooth from unassumingly biting into the wrap and hitting bone. I would probably have forgone leaving a negative review (things like this can happen) but it has been some weeks since the incident and I am still experiencing pain. Message for the owner: please take more care with the removal of bones.

Paid 10 on Deliveroo for ONE piece of fried chicken. The curry goat is half of the normal portion. Daylight robbery! Ridiculous! This is the portion size of a £22 order! Never again!

I was as surprised as anyone at how good the food here was. Very few hotel restaurants fall into the category of places I’d want to eat again - this is one of them. 🙌🏻 This is the restaurant at The Holiday Inn, which is in the former council buildings opposite the back of the former Debenhams. Bristol is a place of former things. Unassuming, in the manner of hotels, you’d expect something more ordinary, full of angry travelling sales-people. Inside though, despite a typical hotel layout restaurant with lots of space and large bar, this place rises above expectations. The bar sells Löwenbräu; German lager as it should be. A nice touch and a good start. The food is a mix of typical hotel and some specialities- to start I had arancini, which were tasty, followed by a sizzling kebab platter. Well cooked. Of the latter; wow, such meat. A massive platter of chicken and lamb sheekh with bread and sauce. So very good and so very unexpected. They have a decent chef here. Very well done. There were puddings, but I had no room 😆 Good service and a decent meal. What more could you want if you’re in a hotel. Two paws up 🙌🏻
