Hulton Arms in Bolton

What a transformation, we have the luxury of being a walk away. I had rag pudding, hubster had steak pie, wonderful. So good we've been a few times now and always been greeted and made welcome. Even when we took our puppy, he got plenty of attention and a treat or two.

Visited with family for a lunchtime meal. Premises were busy but have to say service was prompt and although we ordered five different meals we didn’t have to wait long for our food which I have to say was of very good quality. Also enjoyed the general ambiance of the place. I haven’t visited this pub for many years but I can honestly say it won’t be long before I’m back.

Went tonight for a meal with family. Can not say how amazing the place was The atmosphere was lovely make to feel very welcome Had a great menu choice were amazing and presentations was lovely. So much to choice from Was very impressed with the kids menu All great and home cooked chips were great. I had Lasagna and it was beautiful our granddaughter had pizza was lovely Will definitely be back again soon

So I went here I ordered fish and chips I couldn’t believe it when it came out I thought I was getting a cod fish instead I ended up with a fish same size as a gold fish I couldn’t believe my eyes absolute joke and it wasn’t a kids meal if anybody’s thinking that

TERRIBLE..Firstly I ordered prawn cocktail which the prawns and its sauce came in a soup bowl with the salad on the side..I felt like I was eating a bowl of just prawns bazaar..Second dish was scampi/chips/mushy peas..Peas were warmed in the mircro wave and was all hard and dry round the edges.Scampi looked like it was meant for a child they were that small. My friend had the fish tried a piece of it and she ended up putting it in the bin outside it was that bad..First time I ever went was on a Sunday for a roast and could not fault it at all.I don't know what has happened weather it's a different chef or something but I won't be returning any time soon..

Good honest pub food family of 5 mix of meals all first class third visit never been disappointed. Clean,good service, good beer highly recommended. Would we return YES YES never disappointed.

4 of us went in on a Saturday at 2.00pm. Seated at a lovely clean table and given menus straight away. Food order taken by a very friendly lady called Lucy and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend the food and the pub itself. Nice friendly atmosphere. Allows dogs on leads. Tip. Make a booking for food as it gets busy.

Booked in yesterday with my wife and 2 kids as we have been here before and love the food, service and atmosphere. I had the pie I had a mixture of cheese pie and steak pie.. wow!! Had this both times I have been and not been disappointed my wife had the steak which she loved and cooked as asked. My daughter has the small gammon and absolutely loved it and my little lad had the kids fish which is fresh and battered on site. Service quick and efficient even though the pub was getting really busy. Hats off to everyone and keep up the great work.

Terrible experience and I’ve been a few times but I certainly will not be going back again Staff mixed up our booking and staff were extremely rude first of all to my 2 young sons then to the rest of us. The woman dressed all in black with pens in her hair needs a lesson in customer service she was soooo rude and lacked any good manners. When I next see Adam at one of his other pubs I will be giving him my feedback about her. I took my custom elsewhere last night !!!!!

I would definitely Recommend the Hilton Arms . The inside furnishings are smart and comfortable . I organise a yearly event for a very large group of 30 ++ family members . The staff on this day were marvellous . We were all seated together ( pre arranged booking of course ) The service was amazing , everyone made their own choices from the menu and everyone’s meal was Hot, delicious, and very well presented . The staff are so friendly nothing was too much trouble for them . They looked after the children first . We all had a wonderful afternoon . Fair prices too !! Thank You Carole

A great local, that's just up the road from where we live. Went for some food at 5.45pm on a Friday evening. The place was buzzing. I had heard good things about the food. We both ordered the rag pudding with chips, mushy peas and gravy. The food is definitely home made and was really delicious. Washed down with a glass of Moretti lager, we didn't have any complaints. The staff are lovely, too. What's not to like? We'll definitely be visiting again, soon

We called in here on a Wednesday afternoon at 12 midday just as it opened my grandson and myself Found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly The menu has a good choice of food My grandson had the steak and was cooked to his liking I had the mixed grill and I enjoyed that Prices are reasonable and the pub is nice inside it also has a carpark and outside seating Would I go back again ? Tried here after reading other rewiews elsewhere, The staff were very friendly, venue was clean and nice menu with lovely home cooked food , we will be back.

1st time order very nice indeed. Forgot salad and Naga chilli sauce on doner mix which was what I was looking forward to the most ( really wanted the heat) but everything else very good.

Ordered a king prawn korma and there were no prawns at all?! We had ordered a separate korma sauce with biriyani so assumed my husband just also got the sauce!!

I don't like leaving negative reviews but the food was genuinely horrible. I bought the Tandoori Mixed Grill and it was foul, for £12 all you get is a hard chicken leg, a bit of sheek kebab, and a few tasteless, hard blocks of meat with some onion... It makes me wonder if this is the same place talked about in the reviews. I also got some garlic chicken, and that was equally bad. It was so bad that it makes me wonder if the reviews for this place have been manipulated in some way, because my experience definitely doesn't match up to what the review score for this place led me to expect. Especially looking at all these 6-star scores without reviews to go with them. I spent over £18 in all and not only was the food awful, but the portions were pathetic. A single order of Chow Mein from a Chinese costing £6 would have been equally as filling. I'm serious when I say that, with no exaggeration. So all in all, overpriced terrible food. The only good thing was the delivery time.

Order the Butter Chicken and make it hot. Trust me. Best curry in the area.

My partner and I were absolutely amazed with the service provided by this restaurant and food taste. We really enjoyed it !! 10 out of 10 and definitely we're gonna order from them again soon !!

Delivery man was ringing bell and knocking extremely loudly at same time He did this more than once as I was going to front door. When I opened door he had put the bag on doorstep and was at his car. He didn’t use the gate but squeezed past my car on the drive. Certainly not like previous delivery man who was very pleasant.

Chicken and curry lovely. Paratha was awful though - tasteless and tough.

Great food, Just fancies a curry and these did not dissapoint. Arrived on time, rice and chips cooked perfectly, keema naan was delicious and the tikka masala was beautiful.

Food was tasteless, I ordered a tikka pathia and these guys made it with lentils, it was awful and I won't be ordering from here in the future.

The curries we ordered were very bland and tasteless. The chicken was grisly and the sauce was slimy. £32 for 2 curries you would expect it to be a lot better. We will definitely not be ordering from there again.

Overpriced. Meat was tough & couldn't eat. Only 1 prawn in my mixed balti & not enough in my Son's, especially considering they were nearly £10 each! Special rice was £3.30, only peas & onions & was only a small carton! Even charged for carrier bag! Would not recommend. Had better for less money!

First time ordering through Just Eat, we normally ring direct, but unable to do so during current times. We are never disappointed with the quality, portion sizes or service, been our go to place for a curry for many years now.

We are regulars at Over Hulton Tandori. The food is gorgeous. Always piping hot, generous sized portions and very tasty! We have never had a bad meal and will continue to be regulars 😂

Had a few orders here and been very happy with food quality and service every time. We especially like the paneer options for most the curries which really set the Over Hulton apart from other local Indian takeaways for us.

Cannot recommend these guys enough, they have become our go-to takeaway. Ordered from them a number of times and have experienced zero issues with delivery or quality of food. Also shout out to the variety of paneer options available as a main, we're vegetarian & it is great to have so many different options available on the menu.

Brilliant quality food, generous portion sizes!!

Again I had a brilliant meal for one. (yep I've been left to do what I want for the evening 😎). And wow there's a lot for the cost and I'm a big eater but canny eat it all. The food was hot in temperature too despite being delivered when it's - 5 C outside. I would be happy to recommend these guys. 🐝

Chicken was over cooked. Outside of it was so hard it was impossible to cut. £5 for delivery is ridiculous though and dearer than any other take away I use.

Best curry takeaway by far at the minute. I’ll not go elsewhere. Better than any restaurant on or off this app to be honest.

Would have been five stars for quality if the prawns and the shami kebab hadn’t been smothered with onions. Next time I must request no onions. Never had onions on top of food anywhere else before.

Food is always very good, not happy with paying £3.50 delivery and 50p card charge. Would have been a reasonably priced meal but for the extra £4.00 especially at the moment. Will take this into consideration before ordering again, but as above, food is very good. Was supposed to be free delivery.

Was a little concerned about the 3 hygiene rating but the food was very nice. I will be returning. Hopefully they are working to improve the hygiene rating. All good 👍
