I would so like to give a great review as the owner was lovely but it’s just not quite there. I’m sure they will get this right in the future. We weren’t offered a starter. We had tasty steaks on the rock but they had to be cut and shared between two. We were given a couple of small sides (6 or so chips and a few Mediterranean veg and coleslaw). The portions all round were small. There was no choice of dessert, just one thing on offer. We had to sit around a long time between courses and weren’t offered drink top ups (2.5 hours for 2 courses). The bill was not broken down and we were just given a total amount. We then had to ask for the deposits to be removed. Overpriced unfortunately.

We went to Hot Rocks for lunch on 13/11/2021 for a birthday celebration. Firstly we were asked what music we would like to be played, and the great service continued throughout our meal. There are no menu's, some of our party had steak, others had tuna, all cooked by ourselves on the hot rocks. I must say, the steak was the best, I have ever tasted. We had three courses in total, all were good quality food and tasty. The weirdest thing, was you pay what you think the meal is worth, takes a bit of getting your head around. Thank you to the owners and staff at Hot Rocks Wine Bar - we will be back.

Brilliant pub, fantastic choice of foods. Loved the lamb Sunday roast. The scotch egg starter was lovely, the burger was well cooked and very tasty.

Service very slow and in one case non existence. Rude staff as well.

Unfortunately it's rather cold in there during the wintry weather. Lack of open fire makes it feel even less welcoming.
