Great hotel. Our room was on the third floor with the view of the Church. Very clean and had everything we needed. Had breakfast both mornings and it was fab, breakfast staff were very nice and gave us a few tips for visiting the area. Check in was quick and easy, again the staff were very nice and very helpful. Car park near by (it was very busy so I would suggest booking this) The location is perfect, easy walk to every thing. We went to two nearby restaurants (both recommended and within in two minutes walk). The Tapas one over the road is particularity worth a visit. Easy 5/5

A lovely room (room 318) at the Hotel Indigo, which is central and only a short walk away from the middle of York city centre. The window overlooked student accommodation but we were not overlooked and able to open the window a little to let fresh air in which was great as the room was quite warm. Breakfast in the dining room was good, a good range of pastries and cereals with a menu for hot foods on offer.

Have stayed at the Stratford Indigo many times and love it there, so booked based on our stays there. Really disappointed with as it not at the same standard, The hot breakfast was awful. The room was not at the same level of what it I'm used too. When we said about the breakfast the staff where not interested in dealing with us. On top of this charged us twice and blocked off the money in our own account which was shocking. Will definitely be going back to York but we definitely be staying somewhere else.

Great breakfast! Room was great and the service was great. Only thing was the lack for car parking space but we made do. It's located very close to the city centre and surrounded by great restaurants.

It's about a 20-minute walk from York train station and about 5 to 10 minutes' walk to the centre of York. Nice and quiet as you're away from the many bars. A small supermarket is opposite.

Says on ad 20 mins from station-yeah if your young 20 something! Room beautiful, breakfast was just ok and didn't merit "best breakfast in uk" award. Not a lot of choice for breakfast and weirdest scrambled eggs i've ever tasted. Go out for breakfast instead. They need to go visit crowne plaza or premier inn and see what a good breakfast really is!! Extortionate wine prices. They haven't realised that cheaper bar prices will keep the guests in instead of them going out!!!

Lovely hotel, friendly staff beautiful room over all, but during the night, the walls are thin, and the windows offer no soundproofing and felt we had the group of uni students that was balling out and screaming and chanting outside in our room

We called in on the day of the Yorkshire Marathon and although it was busy we got a seat and ordered. We got a coffee for my wife and a Victoria 99 cupcake for my 6 year old daughter. She really enjoyed it and my wife said the coffee was lovely too. The staff were very welcoming and polite but all in all really nice and we will definitely be back.

Prices have gone up massively this year and the quality of the food has gone down, too. They're fast, but their website is often broken or bugged, and it's just not worth the costs anymore. I felt sympathetic seeing the article about Domino's coming to Haxby and thought I would support local business instead - but honestly maybe it needs a little competition. It feels like the prices and the quality are only sustainable because it's never had to compete in the area, but it really isn't worth the price anymore.
