Hotel Balmoral in Torbay

Lovely hotel with excellent food and service in a beautiful location near the coastal path and beach

Another lovely stay at the Balmoral. Clean and comfortable. All staff very friendly and efficient. Food super and varied and catered well for gluten free. Evening entertainment very enjoyable. Have already booked another stay.

We visited for the third year running and we have been happy with the hotel every time. The weekend deal is great, the food was excellent and the room pleasant. The staff are always welcoming and the evening entertainment is a bonus. It is close to Meadfoot Beach and walking distance to the town although it is quite a steep walk back but it can be done by bus that stops right outside the hotel.

Superb hotel, lovely quiet location , food amazing, linda and her staff made us feel so welcome and they we're so professional and friendly, would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be returning, later in the year

VERY dated, staff disorganised, wardrobe with no hangers, ensuite with no form of shelf to put anything on, lampshades 'wonky'. Good location for beach ( very steep hill to & from beach) and town centre

Just had a brilliant weekend at The Hotel Balmoral. Lovely welcome from Linda. The room was a great twin for my friend and myself. Beds comfortable. Everything was lovely and clean. Food was amazing each night, breakfasts were wonderful. The entertainment in the evening was a great end to the day. Great value for money with the special offers. We will definitely be back.

Another lovely Christmas at the Balmoral. The food as always excellent. Staff very efficient and friendly. The room was a reasonable size had a bath and shower, clean and comfortable. The Christmas Programme offers good value for money.

We stayed here for a four night Tinsel and Turkey break. The cosy rooms were a little small but this wasn’t a problem. They were clean and functional. The reception, lounge, bar and restaurant were also clean and welcoming. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were staying on a DBB deal and were welcomed with a tasty Devon cream tea. There was a wide choice of hot breakfasts and a cold buffet - all of which was delicious. Finally, the five course dinners were exceptional! The choices were amazing and all were cooked to perfection! We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed our stay, vast choices of food, very clean hotel, 99% of staff very friendly , and attentive, this hotel is set in a beautiful area, away from the crowded main area of Torquay but a 15 min walk to the marina, and bus service right outside the hotel.
