Bland beef soggy not crispy , chicken unusual. Highligt was hot crispy chips. Kung po chillie chicken tasted like chicken with cashews & no spice.

I have been coming here a lot and because Their food is so amazing I have actually chosen this Chinese as the one. The only problem is that they have god awful waiting times and it ticks me off, I ordered 1/3 hours before coming and now having to wait 40 min extra (I only ordered some extras like beansprouts) like you just need to heat them 😭

The food was lovely again, had the chicken chow mein and a chicken curry. The only take away in Newquay that does a chow mein like the ones I’m used to in the midlands. No mad thirst after eating it. Best Chinese in this town

Nice food. Helpful staff in accommodating my wheat intolerance despite being very busy. Lots of prawns in my fried rice and lots of chicken in my partners chow mein. Thanks Lewis for the friendly service.

Really bad customer service, rude staff, we won’t be coming back anytime soon, noodles half burnt and chicken fried rice had hardly any chicken in it.

I live 2 minutes from this Chinese and cannot believe the food she serves up. I don’t normally write a review for food I just go back, but the special Curry fried rice from here was disgusting. Whole curry went in the bin. Rice tasted of damp mouldy like it had been left out for more than a day. Prawn crackers had to be changed as they were off never again will I use Hot Wok.

This was an expensive albeit very good Chinese fast food takeaway under a mile from our hotel, in Porth, Newquay. We paid over £34 for two starters - seaweed (which is deep fried cabbage fried with salt and pepper) with cashew nuts added and a chicken satay with delicious peanut sauce and two mains, one with a large fried rice, one with noodles and beansprouts. The mains were sweet & sour chicken and a salted chilli king prawn. We had rolled in here with a sort of plan in mind expecting to order, pay and promptly return to our hotel with food, but we were told it would be at least an hour given the amount of orders already backed up. The place has almost zero parking around it; parking in many parts of England is very difficult and finding parking you don’t have to pay a few pounds an hour for - even in the many and growing number of run down 3rd world parts - is also really challenging. Don’t expect anything for your money to park having already paid colossal tax for your fuel, and having paid for an annual road tax permit to drive on a public road as well as many hundreds of pounds to insure your vehicles annually. Anyway we put our order in, paid by credit card and the bloke behind the counter took my mobile number to ring me to come and get my order when ready. We drove back to the hotel and the utterly charming staff set up a table for us in their breakfast dining room with cutlery and water. We got drinks from their bar. Acter about 50 minutes passed I drove back to get our food as I’d ordered prawns that would be battered, so I didn’t want to wait for a call to leave and to stop them becoming too soggy. It turned out that they hadn’t even started our order. So the front counter American/English bloke began peeping through the door to the kitchen, gently haranguing the oriental cook to get on with our food, and let’s say it was an entertaining exchange that I enjoyed. 10 minutes of craic later our food was served up with muttering from the kitchen. As I said, all the food was very tasty but prices are becoming unreasonable for what is junk fast food but they’ve no shortage of customers. The American/English bloke (it’s a long story) chucked in free prawn crackers and these were up market quality crackers rather than the rubbish ones mostly served where we live. My prawns tasted just fine. I can’t imagine us ever returning to Cornwall and think we’ll stick with Portugal, Italy or Spain as our go to places.

Food was really good. Probably the first meal from a takeaway that didn’t leave me really thirsty and bloated. Really tasty, I will definitely be returning.

I ordered two DISHES for home. I thought that since it is a DISH and costs £11 per portion I would get it with rice but it didn't. The food was mixed up, I ordered a dish of Honk Kong style prawns and got something that reminded me of old chicken! the chicken balls were old and just not good. This is so bad and such a scam that they should close it down!!!
