Hidden gem. You are able to grab glimpses of the station and remaining rolling stock as it is now a private residence.

Nice venue for a wedding, with previous eras their selling proint. The one I attended was fairly basic, but they seem happy to accommodate a quirky setup. Nice surroundings, but quite distant from anywhere; I hear there are some local camping options though.

A beautiful wedding venue or a place to meet in a group for tea. Platforms are ladened with flowers and there is an antique carriage ( for signing the register ) or keeping dry if it rains. A unique venue.

Beautiful place for a wedding, host is the friendliest woman. Perfect if you’re going for a quirky, rustic theme. Service is wonderful and parking for guests is amazing.

I was lucky enough to be invited to a wedding at Horsebridge with my husband and 2 children. The venue is picture postcard, with platforms 1 and 2 and an original train carriage. The children were able to run around in the stunning gardens and we had a wonderful day. A great day was had by all and if I were getting married again I'd come here!

My partner and I booked this venue for our wedding, having fallen in love with it immediately having seen it. On the surface the venue seemed perfect, however I feel as though we were misinformed about what we could do with it. We were sold the venue on it being a blank canvas to do with what we wished, which was exactly what we were looking for, however this turned out not to be the case. The venue is expensive for what it is, but my partner and I both agreed it was so beautiful we were willing to pay this and cut back in other areas. As our wedding is going to be a causal, laid back, family orientated day, we planned on hiring fish and chips as our catering. When discussed with the owner, we we're given her personal opinion on our catering choice, and told that the venue was not suitable for us (despite being told that they have had food vans their before, just not for the wedding breakfast). Having had the venue booked for 6 months, we were back to the drawing board. We were given our deposit back which was transferred back to my bank account with the transaction name 'unsuitable client'. I found this personally very insulting, and completely unprofessional. All in all it was a very disappointing experience. I feel as though we were miss sold the venue on first viewing. As a bride-to-be I was not made to feel special, and feel as though the wedding was going to be more tailored towards what the owner wanted than myself. Having since read other bride's reviews, I think that we probably had a lucky escape.

If you can get advance warning of when this little gem is open (mainly on Bank Holidays) it's definitely worth a visit.Situated on the platform of a disused railway station, it has a couple of old carriages for you to explore and a signal box (not open to the public). The tables are covered in gingham tablecloths (just like Granny's used to be) and the afternoon tea, with homemade sandwhiches and delicious cakes, are perfect.

This venue is, on the face of it, is the most idyllic venue for a wedding, immaculate gardens, well maintained platform area for receiving guests, the marquee is large enough for 100 people.Sounds great!! The big issue we encountered was the owner who wanted everything done to suit her rather than the bride and groom. Through out the organisation of this wedding, dressing of the marquee, setting up the catering area and decamping on the day after the wedding we felt under constant pressure to be off her land!!!We were given no assistance with who and where to go to for the hiring of tables, chairs etc... Which seems odd as this is ostensibly a wedding venue.During the wedding reception, the owner was wandering around the garden, marquee and catering area. At one stage she was sat down with wedding guests!!!At 11:00pm we were asked to to stop serving drinks and turn the dance music down :-( although the marquee was booked to midnight. - unbelievable but true.Believe me this is only a summary of a few of the issues we encountered!!! So in summary, awesome location. We certainly had some memorable experiences in many different ways.Perhaps this review will educate the owner to change her approach to people spending huge amounts of money in order to have memorable event.

Well maintained and a perfect spot for a wedding, I would highly suggest getting married here, the staff are very helpful and the marquee is there for you to decorate as you will! The location couldn't be better, the garden is so vibrant with colour and the grass so even neatly cut! Or though if a weddings not on the cards go for afternoon tea here! It's ace!

Visited this delightful venue over the bank holiday - it is only open certain days of the year 2-5pm, but website gives more information. The first thing you see is the carriage at the platform which sets the scene; there are prettily covered tables set up on the station platform, with the signal box in view - the old railway track has been grassed over and there is a pleasant, peaceful garden to stroll around. Reasonable free parking.Friendly service, homemade cakes and cream teas - eclectic range of teapots, and proper loose-leaf tea. It is adjacent to the Test Way with its walks and cycle path, and very close to the river. Horsebridge Gardens are also close by.

We have been here a few times in the past couple of years and visited again over the Easter Bank Holiday. This is an old station that appears to have served a sparse area near Winchester and was closed in 1964 as part of the Beeching cuts. It has been lovingly restored with tables set out on the old platform - there are no tables inside so one for a decent day perhaps. The cakes are all home made and excellent - the tea is not the tea-bag variety! The old 78 record player may even be playing such songs as "The sun has got his hat on". Service is quaint in a very amateurerly English way (and that is not a criticism!) and is a great place for young and old alike. We'll be back!

The sqiuid and bruschetta starters were a bit bland, But mains of Tuscan Sausage and prawn pasta were both very good. The salted caramel chocolate bar was a bit bizarre like a confectionery sweet, which was difficult to cut with a blob of cream. The staff were friendly enough, after a rather brusk greeting from the manager, possibly?

Nice pub with carpark, children's play area, dog friendly, and a log burner in the winter. Good selection of beers and lagers. Menu and quality of food is good, served by very friendly staff. 2024 new outside seating and revamped sports area inside. All of the grass has been replaced with artificial grass.

Wanted to visit here for a while and picked a kid free day on a weekday. The food was nice, reasonable priced and served quickly though my partners club sandwich was dry. The lad serving was good but the lady quite surly. Atmosphere lacking. Ok but wouldnt visit again
