Horn and Trumpet in Stoke-on-Trent

Dropped in for a quick drink whilst walking the dog at the weekend. The staff couldn't do enough, dog bowls, blankets and treats provided for free. Couldn't fault the beer or service, will definitely be returning!

I visited the Horn and Trumpet today and upon my entrance I received such a warm welcome from Chelsea and Caitlin. I had been having a bad day before this so to see such happy staff made my day! We spoke about my dreams of opening a dog hotel in Spain and I think I might just do it! What a credit to the business !

Wouldn't attempt to let my dog eat here. Genuinely! Been here before and complained about the appalling service and attitude. And alls I get is a very played down "I'm sorry things weren't up to your standard". My standard isnt high, I just want nothing more than to look at a manager that doesnt look like they have a smacked backside. If you cant put a smile on to mask your overly expensive, rip off food, then find another place to work.

Good pub atmosphere and value for money. Food was lovely and superb quality. Shout out to chef with dark hair Will B, very polite and well mannered as he offered us Coffee and Dessert, hope to see him again. Prices are great for what we received.

Both of our meals were delicious. Good value for money and came piping hot. Good friendly and quick service, both at the bar and when the meals were being served. We will definitely be returning soon.

Me and my partner came out for some tea and both meals were great, drinks came out really quickly and so did the food. Definitely recommend

We visited recently to use the 30% off mains offer, the pub was incredibly busy but the service was still quick and friendly, the staff were happy to help and the food was tasty. Highly recommend!

Stunned at the prices for what you get. The drinks cost nearly as much as the meal. £17 for 3 drinks is just beyond. The food itself has massively dropped in quality the chips and onion rings were dry. The sad attempt at garnish was wilted. Im so shocked and quite disappointed. Berly men pushing in at the bar and bar staff just complaining they wanted to go home. I get we are all humans but even with the current discount code it's still come to nearly 60 quid for 3 absolutely below par meals and drinks. Great prices for food and drink, lovely staff. Going to have to give a shoutout to a lad, Will B who was running around like a headless chicken helping everyone out and was very polite. Nice staff always add to the experience. Will be back.

We really enjoyed our visit on Sunday. Lovely pub with a great atmosphere and 5 star service. We both ordered a roast which came out very quick and the quality was exceptional and tasted amazing which was down the Chef Will B nice of him to help out on the bar too. Definitely recommend and we will be back soon.

We have been coming as a couple or with friends and family since the pub very first opened as it's local. We have never had a bad meal and always hot. Staff over the years have come and gone but every one has always been friendly and polite with good service. We have been for meals, drinks outside in the summer and when England tournaments have been on. Always a lovely friendly atmosphere. Booking is easy via the website. We shall continue to visit 😊

Do not come here for food. Thought it would be like normal pub food but was a disgrace. Boyfriend’s steak was cold. Will not be coming again.

Absolutely horrendous meal. Gravy resembled wet cat jelly. Stone cold limp fries. Sticky chewy roast chicken. Waited over an hour for crap food. Avoid avoid avoid.

The food was ok but nobody came and asked us after we had been served, I had pie chips and gravy the gravy was lukewarm so I couldn’t use it, I told the waiter on collecting the plates but it was wasted breath. The food and pub are on par with the sizzler up the road but lots more expensive and the drinks are extortionate. Also you have a table for 6 with one person sitting on it drinking, the pub up the road reserve it so only someone asking for food can sit there which makes sense. Won’t be rushing back.

We had a fantastic time here yesterday for the football, great atmosphere, food and drinks ordered on our phones and brought to the table. Cold beer and delicious food. Highly recommend for watching live sport!

We came in yesterday for a lovely meal and Bradley served us. A very polite and efficient young man who couldn't do enough for us. If all of your staff are as polite as Bradley the Horn and Trumpet will definitely be my number one venue in future.

We came in for my mums 50th birthday and the service and food were amazing. Dylan seated us as soon as we arrived and explained the order at table for us. The food arrived quickly and was hot and delicious. We will definitely be back again.

Great selection of beers on tap, great atmosphere when the Football is on. Decent food for a decent price and the staff were great, really welcoming and happy to help with anything. Will definitely be back soon!

Went today and had a really pleasant experience. The young lad will who brought out our food delivered an amazing service and was very helpful. Food was lovely and he made sure to ask us if our food and everything was ok. All around a lovely meal. Will be back again.

Went for lunch today, the place was pretty much deserted including the bar. After waiting several minutes with no staff around another potential customer asked the solitary waiter if anyone was serving at the bar ! No response after another five minutes so we left and went elsewhere Shocking service , won’t be back in a hurry

Visited with a few mates on Sunday for drinks, ended up ordering the grazers. Food and drinks were both served in no time, drinks were cold and refreshing and food was tasty. Can't fault it and will definitely be returning soon. Big thanks to Brad especially for looking after us.

Extortionate priced beer ! IPA £5:75 a pint £5:75!!! No prices displayed the behind bar couldn’t be really bothered service. Coincidence or what but a 30% off a meal delivered that same week , I wonder how they finance the 30% off deal , £5:75 a pint may give you a clue myself and mates will definitely be taking our custom elsewhere .

Can’t fault the meal it was lovely but I had 2 small bottles of non alcoholic wine and it was £12.50 if I drank I could of got real alcohol for less than that and there was a child running around blowing a whistle the staff should have asked the parents to take it of him it spoiled the night cause couldn’t hear family talking to me

We come here quite a lot for drinks, and to watch football. The staff are lovely, especially Bradley. He never fails to give us a smile and make us laugh. Other times we come for food, and the food is delicious. Worth the money. Thanks guys!

Absoulutly terribile ,food you could not cut the chicken with a knife no moisture ,chips were not blanched (im a qualified chef) staff were nonchalant and the manager is rude
