Fresh well cooked delicious Chinese food. By far the best takeaway/delivery. The prices are fair for the excellent quality . Delivery from order is extremely quick. We will continue to use Hong Kong house. It’s also very clean and friendly .

Just your average Chinese takeaway, serving average (mostly) Chinese food at moderate prices. Service was good, food for five was ready in less than 10 minutes, and it's close to the town centre.

We all know prices have gone up due to the cost of (greed) living crisis, but Hong Kong House is taking the biscuit. Most of the food has gone up around 30-40% since late last year. It's April now. We unfortunately found this out when we used the latest menu we had had from them (from around Christmas last year) to place a take away order & the total ended up being £10 more than we were expecting & it was for the same stuff we ordered in December last year! Not even 2 whole meals & rice. My husbands meal & rice was more expensive than his main meal at The George in Yarmouth for his birthday, that's how crazy the prices are. We found out they've put the prices up at least 3 times in a short period of time. Crazy how a plain egg fried rice has gone from around £2 to £4 & above. Main meals up by a third or more. This is not even inflation, this is just being greedy. No wonder they aren't as busy as they used to be. The food also seems to have become more plain & more sauce & less solid ingredients than before. We did think that at Christmas but just thought it was a minor thing. The chips are bland tasting with a weird texture with no seasoning & they used to be delicious. A few years ago we thought this particular Chinese was the best in the area & we'd been regular customers for the longest time. Not sure what's happened to them. It's really sad. Well.... after 9 years we won't be ordering from them again as its cheaper to eat out at a pub. What's the point of staying in to have a take away when you can eat out more cheaply?...

I visited a friend in Cowes tonight, and decided on a takeaway. Hong Kong House was very quick and efficient with our order. The food was outstandingly tasty and cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were amazing and very generous. I have not eaten From Hong Kong House before but, I will certainly be doing so again! Thank you for the delicious food.

Worst chicken & mushroom currys we’ve ever had. Very bland & tasteless & no sauce. Asked for it extra spicy & all they did was chop up a red chilli & put it in, and who puts bamboo shoots in a curry ? The noodles in the chow mein were also very thin. Ordered £55 worth of food & got no free prawn crackers ! Only used this place coz Golden Dragon was to busy to take anymore orders - says it all ! Will not use again.

Placed an order for nearly £40. No free prawn crackers which you get everywhere on orders over a certain amount. The chicken chow mein was absolutely disgusting and tasteless. The mix hors d’oeuvres had the 1 BBQ spare rib and the 1 satay chicken stick in same container Sauces mixing into each other yuk. We threw most of it in the bin as it was inedible. Total disappointment and waste of money.

I have to say I have tried to contact Hong Kong house on social media before posting this, but we spent £40 plus and didn't order prawn crackers as every Chinese I have ever spent more than £20, has given us complimentary crackers. Anyway that really isn't the issue, the massive black hair embedded in our chicken balls put us off having the rest of the chicken balls and made us cautious when eating everything else. Aside from this we liked the food up untill that point, I have given the takeaway a chance to respond to me privately before posting this and they haven't. Very disappointing and disgusting

Had the lemon chicken and the battered king prawn balls The lemon was so sour it was in edible Absolutely disgusting The batter on the prawns was so thick they weren’t cooked properly Now feel sick after eating only a few mouthfuls Wouldn’t be going back Much better Chinese takeaways in the area !

Always was a great Chinese takeaway very consistant, Some thing must have changed as tonights take away was dismal. Great shame as we always loved it, not sure if it is a new Chef or new owners?

Visiting the area and found this take away, one of the best takeaways I have ever had. The food was very tasty and a good price.

Great food, well cooked and priced pretty well. You won't go wrong ordering from here and I am pretty fussy.

Found this place by accident as driving around looking for another take away. From the outside looks clean. Front of house chap very pleasant & helpful. Food ready when he said it would be. Quality of the food was of a high standard & reasonable price for the quantity. If in the area again we would be happy using this establishment again.
