Honey+Harvey in Suffolk Coastal

Food ok but paper cups, paper milk carton, paper box for the food wooden knives and forks, plastics cups for the children. Mcdonalds is actually slightly more upmarket than this place. Would be fine if it cost the same as mc Ds!

You are told to find a table and number and return to order and pay, All the tables were dirty, plenty of staff but no one came to wipe the tables down, ordered a mushroom and leek toastie, no sign of leeks, and a very floppy toastie in thin slices of bread and for £8.25 I would of expected better bread. We were given no napkins, we asked a staff member for some, no one came, I had to go up to counter to ask, the person I previously asked was serving other customers. Overall poor service, and food for the the price.

I had boiling water spilt on my 12 year old son’s lap by a worker. She was completely oblivious of the fact that water was constantly slopping out of it on to his lap. She was a nice girl but clearly incapable of passing it properly. Because she also spilt the first pot of water just onto the table. Also the injury was not record in any type of injury/ accident book.

Only went in for coffee,found over priced and coffee was Luke warm so rather than sitting back for a chat and about the coffee and atmosphere had to drink it straight down and leave to be honest Costa would have been a better bet ..not impressed

Top breakfast! Huge plate of fresh tasty food that kept me going all day. Really friendly staff, cool eating area with clean facilities in the middle of a lovely little Suffolk town. Highly recommended.

Avocado and egg bap, delicious!

As soon as I walked in I noticed how dirty the floor was throughout the cafe, I should have left then. Stale scones, dirty cups and plates, old water and ice left in water urn. Food was over priced and not good enough.

Wow - just wow. The food is sooo good. We had a vegan brunch which went down well. However as a carnivore I can’t not recommend the Gochujqng pork belly highly enough. A huge portion of a wonderfully thought through dish. Service was friendly without being intrusive and the atmosphere was lovely. It was a quieter day, as we have been when it has been a lot longer queues, but not today 👍

Really nice cakes but young lady at the counter with attitude spoiled the experience!

Remembered from approx 6 years ago (pre Covid) Still the good selection of snacks.

ordered gluten free chicken sandwich. it came with bacon devilled egg avocado etc lovely bread and large sandwich. very tasty but not cheap. ordering system is ridiculous they reall y need to sort this out as its very chaotic. sadly because of this haphazard system we would not return.

Food is good, if a little overpriced. Ordering system ridiculous for solo traveller. Find table. Note number. Wait patiently for menu. And wait. And wait ...... eventually stopped staff member and were told they are inside?? Choose food. How to order? Leave my backpack on the table in the hope nobody else sat there. NO INSTRUCTIONS ON THE MENU. So again sit and wait ..... and wait .... and wait, eventually asked other diners who broke the bad news ..... you havd to go back to queue which was out the door. Eventually get to order and table had been saved by two lovely guys next to me. All a tad stressful. Food arrived including hash browns. Asked for vinegar. They don't have it. No salt and pepper. Asked for water. Didn't get it. Not likely to go back unless I have someone else with me.

We usually look for small local business for lunch ,rather than large chains,outside the menu looks attractive and good choice,decided to go in . I ordered a sausage bap and wife sandwich with tea for two,my sausage bap contained two tiny patties of sausage meat under cooked ,no butter ,wife cheese croquette sandwich was acceptable,tea cups needed good clean ,cost £21 something. Other places in Woodbridge offered better value ,we don’t mind paying extra but did expect more . We also didn’t take kindly to dogs under tables constantly yapping .

All the baked treats look lovely, we had a cheese scone, sausage roll, Bakewell slice and millionaire shortbread plus two coffees. My mocha lacked flavour but my husband was happy with his cappuccino. We saved the sweet treats for our walk back from Waldringfield - they were very yummy, a much needed energy boost! I do think the prices are a bit steep but the service is friendly and efficient, hence the four stars.

First time here, and would definitely go back again.

Lovely outdoor seating options for a tasty brunch. A pricier option for a large family / party and with lots of competition nearby- but the food was tasty, ingredients good quality and some special touches made it a positive visit. Due to the price we'd probably try out some of the other nearby options next time first and save H&H for a special occasion!

Popped in for coffee on a very wet rainy day. All the cakes and pastries behind the counter looked so scrumptuous, could have eaten everything! All the food being served was lovely looking, couldn't resist a Suffolk sausage roll, very nice. Milk shake very creamy with biggest marshmallow ever. All served by lovely polite happy staff.

Everything about Honey + Harvey is excellent! Food was delicious, we didn't wait long for the cooked food and the food at the counter was provided as we ordered. There is a great garden at the rear, ample seating some in shade. Staff were very helpful and all service was prompt. Make time to visit this Woodbridge gem, you won't be disappointed

Best breakfast bap I've ever had, and I don't say that lightly. It is a touch pricey though, probably a treat rather than a regular visit. Quality is bang on, good work.

Gorgeous breakfast, with one willingly adapted to be gluten free 😋. Best coffee in Woodbridge. And last, but definitely NOT least........ lovely welcoming service from Rebecca, Jas, and Shannon. It was a very special wedding anniversary today and we couldn't have chosen a better place! ❤️

Second visit in short space of time. Very tasty sausage roll, Stokes tom sauce and pot of tea! So nice to have a sausage roll that is of normal portion size and not so big you can share it with the rest of Woodbridge!! Look forward to visiting in the summer and sitting outside.👍

I didn't get a chance to get a Coffee,as they didn't accept cash, it's actually inspired me to visit more local establishments who accept cash. what next thumb prints only to get your Coffee. Shame this place. AVOID until they accept cash.

Would not accept cash which is legal tender. Shame because I moved to the area and would be happy to have taken friends there, sadly not now.

Great staff always most welcoming. Atmosphere love the music , brings the place to life. Love the garden area for the outdoors as well. Quiches are delicious always 😊

I went to get a takeaway coffee. The coffee was good and overall feel of the place was super cool. The huge letdown was the service (a bit short) and the fact I was directed very poorly to go to get my own takeaway coffee lid from the other end of a very busy restaurant. For some reason, they choose to put the lids down there despite takeaway being served at the front desk. Loadsa people were waiting for tables in the restaurant too so I had to ask 5 people if I could jump by to get the lids. An unnecessary drama. Just put the lids on the cups when you serve them please - or don’t serve takeaways with half a cup.

The breakfast we chose had everything and more and sounded great but having paid just shy of £40 for 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees the least I would expect is that it would be hot and freshly cooked . Even the toast was tepid .Such a shame . They choose to serve your order quickly but with precooked produce that is then just assembled. ( the eggs were probably freshly cooked but definitely not the bacon or the toast .) I would prefer to wait and for it to be hot . The coffees were great though but I’ll be trying somewhere else next time I come to Woodbridge . I don’t mind paying top dollar but it needs to be spot on if you want me to return . Also no one came over to check if our order was ok . The sevice also was a little lacklustre . Shame .

I loved this place. Cozy coffee shop, tasty desserts and polite staff!

I ordered a latte which came in a small glass, I'm used to quite big lattes. They had a nice florentine suitable for vegans, and that was yummy! I was sat a stool with a counter behind the main counter, I think the wall was slowly crumbling away so not ideal if food and drink are there. Staff were okay, looked busy. I had to clear the table myself so I could sit down, but that didn't seem to be what they wanted me to do! It was very busy though so, to be expected. Not cheap but not the most expensive. I visit rarely but it is nice to have the option.

Was really looking forward to trying this place after reading the good reviews, but it disappointed massively! It was really noisy and felt very chaotic, it also didn't feel very clean. The coffee was good, however the hot chocolate wasn't very nice and it came with a huge marshmallow which made drinking it impossible for my young son. The food was basic at best and none of us were able to finish what we ordered. We also left smelling of oil fat. Overall it wasn't a pleasant experience at all.

Great menu and quality ingredients.

Having previously visited, I returned to Honey & Harvey with my wife with a view to enjoying brunch. After entering, we waited patiently as a customer ordered a takeaway coffee. We then advised the young lady behind the counter that we were after a table for two for brunch. “It’s just a matter of finding a table…” she said curtly. We then wandered through, looking for somewhere to sit. As we did, at least two other staff members ignored us. We stopped, looked around, and as we then made our way back to the entrance, we noticed two customers nursing coffees and working on their laptops. Ea h was on a separate table, taking up a table for four. That notwithstanding, at no point did any staff suggest we might wait for a table to become free—we’d have been happy to wait. Given the absolutely appalling service, I can’t see us ever going back. We then walked the short distance to the Two Magpies. There, we were treated completely differently. We were greeted as we went to the counter, told that we were in time for brunch and shown to a table. Enough said. Time to sweat the small stuff, I’d suggest.

After a spot of shopping we settled upon H+H for some brunch. The place was really busy but we managed to get seated. Staff were really friendly and there was an excellent menu selection. We both opted fopr the breakfast brunch which was excellent. Prices were really reasonable and the food quality very good. Will definitely go again.

Excellent cafe in the centre of Woodbridge. Go past the counter and source a seat before returning to the counter with your table number to order. Your order will be brought to you. I had a wonderful almond croissant 🥐 one of the best I've tasted and coffee ☕. Because I was there early I also got a free top up to my coffee! Cafe was very busy on a Thursday morning. Staff were excellent 👍

Dog friendly and good coffee. Brunch was a great combo but over cooked - tasted as though pre-prepared and held for too long. Seated in an odd space that looked as though it should be a cupboard and no interaction with staff. Shame as it looked so promising.

Tables weren’t cleaned and staff didn’t appear interested. Tea pot was half filled and the tea leaves were barely wet.

Great coffee, just a little expensive unfortunately. Staff were very kind, though, and patient when I couldn't find my card!

I appreciate that it was busy but I wasn't happy with the service. We finished our food before our drinks arrived. I had a tea and had to request they bring me some milk as they didn't bring it with the tea then I realised I didn't even have a spoon to stir with.

Popped in for lunch, nice welcome, quick service, limited seating, didn't venture outside. Food was good, tad pricey but tasty. Had the Ceasar salad, but the salmon (or chicken) was extra. My partner had truffle mushrooms on toast, which she liked. Nice fruit juices but no beer available. OK experience.

Honey and Harvey is one of the best bakeries I have ever been to in terms of flavour and quality. The food is of the highest standard, the sausage rolls especially are absolutely amazing; our kids can’t get enough of them! The service is also really friendly and quick. There are also a range of lovely vegan and gluten free options available. Personally, as an individual with a sweet tooth, I felt they could do with a few more sweet options on the menu which would elevate them to five stars and they are not far off. Can’t wait to go back.

Great place for a coffee and a slice if cake in Woodbridge

We visited on Saturday lovely food great atmosphere service abit slow but it was a bank holiday.

Afternoon tea and cakes were excellent. Plenty of choice and among the best in Woodbridge. No problem with food whatsoever. However, Staff training required as waitress serving the courtyard did not seem to realise that used crockery at vacated tables should be cleared ready for the next customers. Several passes were made with food to other customers and return made to the kitchen empty handed. Irritating as we also had to endure this environment whilst consuming our afternoon tea. The courtyard itself also needed washing down. A bit more attention to detail outside please.

Fantastic food & service However, my Oat Cappuccino was mixed up with dairy milk when brought to our table. Luckily a person I was with tried it first to be certain. Might be worth getting more noticeably different cups for different kinds of milk ☺️

No photos taken but will add some as we visit regularly when in Suffolk. Probably visited over a dozen times - all but a couple of visits have been five stars so will keep it firmly marked as a 5 star venue overall and highly recommended. (One time it fall below was due to a really happy member of staff 🤣 another a breakfast order where the roll, hash brown and sausage all seemed supermarket standard rather than their usual standard - only impacted one out of three meals ordered but when paying cafe prices and knowing that the food is normally exemplary and really high quality it was a bit disappointing.) That said things happen and in general A+ Coffee, cakes etc. are really good, sausage rolls and scones high up on the recommended list too 👍

Lovely place to eat. Dog friendly. Fantastic friendly staff and excellent gluten free options. The food was delicious and the tables were cleared quickly. We sat outside in the lovely courtyard.

Lovely cafe. Nice, polite, well trained young staff. Food variety is good so able to cater for vegetarians in our party. Bit pricey but what you get is nicely produced and presented so worth paying a bit more for decent food. Dog friendly and provided a water bowl for our dog on request. Nice atmosphere. Seating inside and out. Would definitely recommend 😀.

Really disappointing, the menu looked nice and the place looked nice but… we ordered a sourdough toast with poached eggs and halloumi, the eggs were rock solid (which is pretty bad for a place which only serves brunch!) so we asked for new eggs, they didn’t take our plate away, we then explained our halloumi would be rubbery and toast/bacon coke the service guy just said “well sorry” and that was that… someone came back 7 minutes later with new eggs, cooked perfectly now, but the toast was soggy and chewy at the same time, the halloumi was like rubber and the bacon was cold. It’s disappointing because it had potential to be so nice, my partner is a chef and it’s really poor to not take the plate and redo it, now if I was at weatherspoons paying a small price I would get over it but when paying £34 for 2 small bits of toast & 2 coffees it’s just not okay. Safe to say I won’t be back, staff never apologised or really acknowledged anything, table was also not cleaned, they’d ran out of loads, just overall really poor.

Popped in for lunch, the Rotos was great, coffee was rubbish, so bitter couldn't drink and turned up cold. Service slow but was busy.

We had the best gluten free bread like sourdough exactly with our meal. We complimented them and asked if they sell it, but sadly they don't. So good we went back the following day and the gluten bread was totally different and probably the worst we ever had. Difficult to know why they changed it, but staff was different so we didn't ask.

Nice bright and airy coffee shop. Coffee was good as were our vegan crumble bar and lovely flaky cinnamon roll!

Funky & interesting (dark, moody, sophisticated) external look outside carried through into the servery. Counter staff were friendly & efficient. We ordered tea, coffee, & orange tiffin. Relaxed atmosphere carried through to the back where although not busy there were quite a few uncleared & uncleaned tables. This encouraged us to sit outside where the tables were available. Our order arrived, delivered by a fairly monosyllabic teen, evidently still growing by the way he managed to thump items down & slop tea. Unfortunately, the wrong tea arrived & the replacement tea was so totally under brewed that my other half judged it, "the worst I've had in years." Meanwhile, the tiffin proved to be construction grade. Before leaving a quick trip to the (singular) toilet revealed a scene straight from a bad service station, the kind where some bloke decides to hose the entire floor, pull the toilet roll to the floor so it wicks up the puddles, uses all of the soap/sanitiser, and wipes his wet hands on the door handle as he leaves. No idea if/how often the toilet is checked by staff because there was no record available but going by the state of the place ...... my only hope is that this isn't the same facility used by the staff. Yuk!

Just had the very best smoked salmon and scrambled eggs I’ve ever had! Huge portion and yes, it could be considered pricy.. £34.05 for English Breakfast Tea, a Cappuccino and two Smoked Salmon on sourdough..however, more than happy to pay for delicious food and good service.

Stopped in here for breakfast. Had the Eggs Benedict which was delightful and delicious. Hubby had the vegan breakfast which he was pleasantly surprised about. A healthy serving, good coffee and juice, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Didn't need to reserve a spot.

It was a lovely cafe but there were too many dogs inside and some of them were jumping up on the tables.

Dreadful experience. Only went in because it was raining! Americans at £3.70… and no better than anywhere else! Over £12 for two Americanos and a cheese scone! Started to drink the coffee and found that the toilet was closed and I could go to a public toilet…! So I went to Two Magpies and used their toilet there, followed by lunch- what a difference in service and quality! Honey and Harvey should have told customers that the toilet was closed before they ordered! Look forward to hearing from them! 😳

A really lovely place to find in a new area. Brilliant, absolutely lovely.

Arrived mid afternoon. Ordered sausage rolls and coffees. Was offered chilli jam to go with the sausage rolls and it was a good combination liked by all my party. The coffee smell was what got us in there and the coffee was rich and smooth. Although it was not possible to have the sausage rolls heated up they were excellent. The filling was really meaty and the pastry was excellent crisp on the outside and slightly softer against the meat. Staff were attentive and helpful. The eating area was clean and we enjoyed the ambience - industrial and a little bit gloomy.

This is my favourite coffee shop to go to in Woodbridge. Fantastic atmosphere, dog friendly (outside), family friendly, great staff. And they do Not disappoint with the amount of Bacon in their Bap! Makes me salivate thinking about it! Not to mention, pastries to die for!

It was late in the day and was still very busy but the staff were helpful and friendly, not always easy at the end of a shift! Decaf coffee can be very hit and miss in coffee shops but this was some of the best I've tasted recently. It was well extracted and not too bitter. This was my first visit to the H&H in the Thoroughfare so had a good first impression 👍

Fast efficient service, delicious cake & great coffee.

Not a pleasant experience for us. A strong smell of wet dog in the premises :-( Even the water glasses smelt of it! Thank you to the two considerate dog owners who sat in the courtyard. Others felt it appropriate to have their pet sitting on a chair, face at table height! (1 in 5 people is allergic to dogs.) In a pricey place, I'd expect more attention to hygiene.

Expensive, bland food and slow service. Soggy toast, over cooked poached eggs and cold bacon. Main toilets were out of order and place (Ipswich branch) was a chaotic mess. Will not be returning and do not recommend.

Honey and Harvey has gone extremely down hill over the past year, the service is poor- the servers are often young and clueless and clearly given no direction (not their fault- management need to step up), the floors are always covered in food and the loos are often disgusting or not working properly. For the prices that you pay for food and drinks they need to up their game. Very disappointing.

Very enjoyable lunch last Saturday Excellent service

Last time I visit this is the 2nd experience I had which is a great shame as it was good when it first opened. The main issue was the service & exactly as a previous visit the servers didnt seem to move with any clear direction stopping & starting the task in hand there was no warm friendly welcome & had to oncd again sit at a dirty table as despite clearing the table wasnt wiped until we asked. Then the waitress sprayed before i Moved my coffee cup off so lord knows what I ingested. Cheese scone was rock hard difficult to cut & butter unable to spread was not offered chutney. Also unable to use the loo as permananyly engaged. The cafe needs more than one. As i say you get two chances but not three. Will take my custom elsewhere I am sure it wont effect the customers as the place is always busy but the expereience could be a lot better. Such a shame.

My daughter and I had lunch, and my club sandwich was big and delicious. The soup was excellent too. The standard is always very high here, despite being very busy.

Stopped here to have a hot drink and a snack. Nice looking place from outside, but a bit grubby inside with smeared serving counter and sticky floor and tables. Over inflated prices for ok but not great food and service. Felt under pressure to leave...

Good cafe. Absolutely brilliant coffee which is worth visiting for alone. Was disappointed that although sitting-in, we had to ask for milk for the tea and drinks were served in disposable cups.

Cash, as far as I am aware is still legal tender everywhere in the UK. I wish I had refused to eat and drink at H&H Woodbridge as soon as they told me 'card only' because the experience was poor. £10 got us a tiny...
