Honey Cafe in Powys

Always pop in here for coffee n sometimes food every time we go up to Powys on the way there and again on return. They sell delicious own honey. I buy enough to last til next visit. Staff are always very friendly no matter how busy they get. Downside is altho they welcome dogs outside there no where under cover for when it rains.

Very pleasant lunch stop, great selection on the menu, cakes looked fantastic unfortunately too full to have one after main course.

Always a great place to eat. Dietary needs catered for too which is a plus.

Lovely location but the food was very expensive at £9 for a chicken tikka wrap with very little meat

Lovely cafe. Excellent menu from lite bite, sandwiches or chips and burgers. We enjoyed a lovely sandwich but was a bit disappointed it just came on its own. A little side salad and a few crisps would have been nice. The staff are lovely and work very hard. Well recommended.

This place is absolutely lovely. With views of the mountains and the interior design, this place has an outstanding atmosphere. And their carrot cake is to DIE FOR.

The food here is very good and had been recommended to us several times. However the service is exceptional. We ordered our drinks and foodand my husband went outside with the kids to keep them occupied while we waited. I was feeding my 14 week old and one of the team saw me and brought me some water. Not sure how she knew I needed it but I did and I appreciated her attention to details and the level of care shown. Exceptional. Ps the cakes are fabulous...

Very taste chicken and amazing honey latte

Hubby and I stopped here for a break whilst on gallery deliveries from Yorkshire. The Honey Cafe is easy to find on a little turn off just on the edge of the village. There is plenty of free parking right outside. There is a large outside seating area as well as a very cosy interior café decorated with pretty local artwork. The menu is full of great suggestions and everything sounded delicious, but we only had a short window of time and so opted for tea and toast. The weather was cool, but outside was bright and the view of the snow topped mountains was beautiful so we sat and enjoyed watching the red kites circling above with one even doing a close flyby as we ate! The bill was just £11.80, which was very reasonable and the chatty friendly staff were very helpful too :) We are very happy to have found this little gem and will happily call again next time we are in the area :)

🌟Excellent food, great service and relaxing atmosphere. Extensive menu with lots of local produce/ingredients. Nice touch: the pot of tea comes with a huge pot of hot water to refill. Plenty of parking. Outdoor tables too cold at the moment. Inside, nearly all tables taken on a standard Monday lunch.

Lovely staff, delicious menu. Had a perfectly cooked breakfast and enjoyed every mouthful. Will visit again soon.

We’ve passed this place many times but never stopped in. We wish we’d visited sooner!! A huge choice on the menu (vegan and gluten free too); friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. We’ll be back again soon! 👌🏻

Very well respected place for a feed, but let down by slow staff and excuses. This cafe deserves much better staffing and someone to organise them.

What a great place to get something to it, we were first timers but will definetly be going back, the service was quick and thorough, the food was delicious (maybe a bit pricey) but otherwise a great place to eat, we also loved the fact you could buy other things there, eggs and honey and the artistery was a great thing to see, well done to"The Honey Cafe"

Determined to avoid the usual services and petrol stations for food on our way to Wales, we found this great cafe offering up tex/mex food along with amazing locally produced honey. It’s hugely popular, so service can be a little slow at times, but it is well worth the wait.

Family get together. Lovely place, friendly, great good.

Lovely wayside cafe. Family business for generations so people obviously care. Great homemade cakes and coffee. Friendly welcome and plenty of parking.

Always stop by for cake and a honey latte when coming back from site, hard to pass up. Usually packed full at lunch.

Very nice cafe. Good menu. A bit pricey but very good quality. Service good though no one checked our meals were ok. Felt menu could be clearer re breakfast extras and inclusive coffee tea etc. Good parking and a nice spot to sit outside. A good stop on way to Wales. Would go back.

I am happy to share my thoughts on Honey Cafe in Bronllys. My walking group B123 Walks recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming cafe and we were blown away by the simple yet amazing food and fabulous service. The menu had a great variety of options, and every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. We were also impressed by the cozy and inviting atmosphere of the cafe. Honey Cafe truly knows how to provide a fantastic dining experience. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for delicious food and great service.

Lovely cafe, friendly staff, plenty of choice. Big breakfast was tasty, good value as it included a drink. Burger and fries were also tasty. Good choice of cakes aswell.

Lovely venue with outstanding views.. We had a short stop off but couldn't resist a cheeky scone which were homemade with jam and cream.. The honey cafe had just finished service for the day but willingly served us Recommended and will definitely return again for food as the menu looked delicious

Randomly stopped here by chance, what a great little place! Really popular with bikers, the coffee and breakfast bites we had were excellent. Friendly staff and decent car park.

A little gem! The cafe itself is very modern and clean. The beautiful outdoor area full of flowers and was lovely to relax in. The menu had a lot of variety. Beautiful full breakfast and quirky specials (picture of the special Mexican brunch with chorizo), and amazing cakes/sweet treats! Very impressed and would 100% recommend :)

A nice cafe on the 'gateway' to Wales. Nice drinks, fabulous cakes and friendly staff. Recently arrived as they were closing for the day and they still took our order and served us with a smile.

Great place to stop. Service and hospitality always good, breakfast ingredients could be better quality considering the premium price. Don't mind paying bit more for a breakfast etc but the sausages and bacon definitely not the best. You'd be better going for the vegetarian breakfast to be honest (as per the pics). Still a great place to stop off on the bike though.

Great cafe just off the main road, drink and food was first class.

Have been regular customers over the years. But our last visit was so disappointing. Gone very pricey. Portion sizes shrinking and no side salad as in the past. To be honest will be looking elsewhere on our future trips. Pity it was so nicer in the past. And we’ve always liked the place

Delicious meal! The spiced chicken and Caesar salad was amazing, as was the chicken pie. Had to try the honey latte which was really good, but I'd have liked a little more honey.

I can’t comment on food or service, because for the second year in a row whilst on holiday, we have traveled especially to sample the gluten free vegan cakes and they didn’t have any available.

Beautiful setting. Stopped here for a coffee whilst on work. Ordered 2 pieces of the brownie to take on my 3 hour drive and unfortunately they gave me fruit cake instead, gutted but my own fault for not checking before getting an hour into my journey. Fruit cake was good though 😊

Amazing hidden cafe in Brecon. Food is a bit more but very clean served. Piping hot. Not greasy on the plate. Amazing flowers and front entrance. And they sell their Honey!

5 June 2023. Been visiting here for years; never gets old. Lots of parking, seating, prompt service with smiles. Food is excellent, from a good menu. Of course we'll be back, it's the best place around.

Food, service and setting are excellent. Obviously popular as in a short time after we arrived it was full. Lovely outdoor area, plenty of parking and easy to find will definitely return when in the area.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. First of all it is a stunning old building with lively garden. The food was just what we needed - the wraps were fresh and unique. Service was fine, maybe a bit slow but we didn’t mind since we were basking in the sun. I’d come back if in the area!

Unique !!! Everything about it - a must visit and a must return

One of my favourite cafes but recently we noticed the service has dipped a little. Food orders muddled up. But I don't want to scathe them to much as I really hope they will improve. The coffee is one of the best in the area!!

First time visiting here, on our way home from Brecon Beacons, myself and 2 friends stopped in for a late breakfast They were very busy (being a Sunday late morning) so food took about half hour to come out but it was absolutely beautiful - I had a full English with a pot of tea and the kitchen/menu catered to our vegan friend also so everyone left fed and happy Beautiful place inside and out

For a café this has very high quality food at surprisingly good prices. It's a very clean environment with indoor cosy spaces and outdoor seating. There is free parking outside, Would highly recommend

Stopped in when cycling in the region, for a drink and quick bite. Despite being short staffed and very busy, drinks came quickly, as did the toffee apple pie with ice cream, which was tasty, but could have been improved if served warm. A good stop point when out on the bike or passing through Brecons.

Just passing this place and thought we would try it. Did not disappoint. Food was very good, well priced and good service.
