He estado visitando durante algunos años y siempre lo he disfrutado mucho, ¡la tostada francesa solía ser un regalo de fin de semana! Le pregunté esto a Jac y él simplemente se volteó y comenzó a llamarme todos los nombres bajo el sol, frente a mi hijo. . . . . . . . . . . luego procedió a ir a la parte de atrás para gritarle al personal, pero estaba sobre el barman que supuse que era su novio. En general, fue muy incómodo y nunca volveré a usar este lugar. El gerente debe ser reemplazado lo antes posible

The workers are the most friendly people I have ever came across. They deliver wonderful excellent customer service and meets my expectations each time I go. Perfect location right in the city centre which is easily accessible. Most definitely would recommend this place for a night out with friends or even families. Alina is one of the best stuff member ther as she is very caring and ensure customers always happy.

I loved every moment that I spend on this café bar . The staff members are very professional and at the same time very friendly. They always exceed my expectations every time I eat their food. The location is great since is next to many public transport and it easy to access. I will recommend this place for any customer type from group of friends to family with children’s.

My friend and I were looking for a place to have a drink and I saw the local home is where, I got in a very nice arrangement, I took a cocktail and a chicken salad, very delicious, a place with good music, very friendly staff ❤️

Kavárna působí velice útulně. Mají zde výbornou kávu a dorty. Hned při vstupu nás přivítal milý a přátelský personál. Určitě se sem ještě někdy vrátím.

Porridge was good Toast was well toast no a lot to go wrong there Sausage brioche was not on a brioche but a small bap that looked nothing like any of the others that left the kitchen... pointed this out and was told it was on a brioche... Service was beyond slow

Lovely looking place with friendly staff. I ordered the falafel panini which is labelled vegan on the menu. I was happy with the look of the food but noticed coleslaw on my plate. I asked staff whether this was vegan and they told me it wasn't and asked if I wanted it removed. As it didn't touch my panini I was happy to leave it and eat around it, but found this to be quite a serious matter as they are serving apparent vegan food which isn't actually vegan. I hope they can work to swap this on the vegan dishes in the future.

A lovely little spot for some casual dining, or a drink or 2. We popped in today to try their new breakfast/brunch menu. The cafe itself is a nice size, great quirky decor and a nice range of food and drink. We opted for the pastrami sandwich along with the french toast, lovely food and very well priced. We were served a virgin mary cocktail also which was beautifully seasoned and presented... I noticed there was a few people who decided to bring their laptops, it's in a very good location and ideal if you needed to get work done or potentially have a work meeting. Very nice place. I definitely want to return for the evening tapas menu.

Overnight stay in Birmingham at the fabulous hotel Du vin......we popped over the road for breakfast treat but turned into a big mistake. I Returned a chipped coffee cup to be given a dirty coffee cup, covered in lipstick ! Then full breakfast came with over cooked bacon, pale cheap sausage, half a fried tomato and tiny cold fried mushroom ...just awful ! Cannot recommend.

Lovely place with great atmosphere and delicious coffee. Really kind and friendly staff. Good location near to the city centre.

I visited this venue today while out shopping in Birmingham, I stumbled across this bar when heading towards the Bullring in the city centre. What a pleasant surprise, one of the best independent bars I've been to for a long time. I was served by the barman called Alps. What a friendly and welcoming guy, He recommended me a 2 for 1 cocktail, The Gin Garden. I honestly think it was one of the best cocktail I have had and the service was exceptional, top guy 10/10. I will definitely be returning. Thanks Alps 🙂

We stopped here on the off chance they fitted us in quickly food tasty and presented well efficient service and reasonably priced for town centre.....

I was having a meeting In HomeDeli and we became hungry. The manager suggested we try their breakfast. So I went for the French toast it was amazing. I will definitely be back.

Es de gran valor (dos de nosotros tuvimos 6 cócteles y 4 tapas más una copa grande de vino y solo 30 cada uno). El ambiente es relajado y feliz, con buena música en el volumen correcto (¡todavía puedes tener una conversación!)

Lamentablemente, esto solo se puede dejar como un desayuno de trabajo de Navidad para olvidar. Como los primeros diez clientes en el lugar, tal vez hubiera esperado esperar menos de veinte minutos por mi taza de té y 50 por lo que resultó ser mi benedicto de huevos duros. Realmente no debería ser tan difícil tomar diez pedidos de desayuno y obtener más de dos correctamente. Aunque el personal parecía agradable, continuaron deambulando por el servicio con total confusión y desconcierto. Normalmente no me quejo, pero realmente fue un fracaso total y escribo simplemente para que otros no experimenten el desastre abyecto que ocurre dentro de las puertas de entrada de este local.

Fuimos a desayunar con 6 amigos y fue muy decepcionante. El lugar estaba casi vacío cuando llegamos, pero el pedido en el mostrador tomó mucho tiempo debido a que la camarera no entendía lo que estábamos diciendo. Las bebidas calientes tardaron aproximadamente 10 minutos en llegar y cuando lo hicieron, una camarera derramó una jarra entera de leche, salpicando el abrigo de mi amigo. La comida tardó casi una hora en llegar y la mayoría de los pedidos estaban mal de todos modos, así que tuvimos que enviarlos de vuelta a la cocina. Finalmente recibí el orden correcto. Había pedido huevos royale (8. 50) con un lado adicional de medio aguacate (2. 00) y un café con leche (2. 70). Todo el plato estaba frío, las yemas de huevo estaban duras, el supuesto bollo de brioche no estaba caliente y creo que era solo un bollo de pan. La salsa holandesa era agradable pero fría. Había una ensalada verde al lado que no probé. Lo más divertido fue la "mitad de un aguacate". Ni siquiera estaba en mi plato cuando la camarera me dio el plato, pero descubrimos que estaba en el plato de uno de mis amigos. Estaba en un plato de vidrio, así que él me dio el plato. Lo peor 13. 20 que he pasado! Un amigo había revuelto huevos con tostadas de masa fermentada, pero todo estaba frío, y la tostada de "masa fermentada" era solo pan normal. Ella solicitó un reembolso y recibió uno sin preguntas. ¡Ojalá hubiera hecho lo mismo! Otro amigo ordenó que se llevaran dos sándwiches (así como su desayuno), pero después de estar allí durante más de una hora todavía no se habían hecho, por lo que solicitó un reembolso y obtuvo uno.

Io e il mio ragazzo con la sua famiglia siamo stati in questo meraviglioso locale dove il personale é stato veramente amichevole e molto disponibile. Abbiamo ordinato dei sandwiches gustosissimi e siamo stati soddisfatti e felici. Grazie mille per questo pranzo. Un ringraziamento speciale a Gregorio e Alp.

Vine aquí ayer para un bocado del almuerzo! El sándwich de pastrami salpicado de Nueva York fue excelente! Nos sentamos en una mesa afuera con una copa de vino y el ambiente en general era genial. El personal era atento, la comida excelente, los precios razonables! Nos gustó mucho, acabamos de regresar para el desayuno, se recomienda la tostada francesa. El menú es más pequeño que en algunos lugares, pero para mí es mejor, ya que sabes que hay un cambio más rápido con los ingredientes. Como consecuencia, todo está recién preparado y sabe como tal, no hace muchos sándwiches de cafeterías en este lugar. Este lugar bien merece una visita y vale la pena a pocos minutos a pie del ajetreo de la vía principal, para obtener un buen bocado y una gran taza de café.

As the name suggests it has a cosy homely feel. I love the French toast, which is not usually offered at most cafes. Sandwiches could be improved.

I was astonished at the recent negative reviews. I can only say, as a visitor to Birmingham averse to multinationals and chains that this quirky place was delightful and exactly what I was seeking. A lovely chilli-con-carne and a large glass of Merlot for £13 in a friendly atmosphere with discreet eclectic music and a cosmopolitan crowd. Busv but not hectic. What’s not to like?

Worst coffee I’ve ever bought plus the mug was filthy. Staff were also rude towards my girlfriend. It’s a shame as the location is perfect. Will not be visiting again.

Stopped for late brunch - great menu for me Great coffee too. Very decent other snacks, salads etc and very well served. Much appreciated my brief stop here today. Thank you.

Passing the many crowded bars and chains close to snow hill station popped in out of rain. Laid back, cool decor. Excellent coffee and staff friendly. Food looks good- didn’t try. Will come back to do so

Came in on a wet Thursday for lunch whilst working in the area. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Spent time chatting with most of them who were all really nice. Ordered French Toast and a latte and both were superb. Will definitely visit again!

The atmosphere is great and they do alcohol but the food is bland. They did not have any wraps for falafel wrap so was on ciabatta which is fine, but there was no chilli jam on the ciabatta so it was dry as a bone, my colleague had the chicken with the rub but that also was bland.

Nice atmosphere. Prompt service. Proper well presented Flat White. Pastrami sandwich tasty. Busy at lunchtime to to office area location. Worth a visit .

While here with work a friend and I walked after being enticed by the decor similar to Bristol or London with un-matched chairs, chalk board wall and that this is not a chain really appealed to us

Pescado caro en £16 +. Para un pequeño pedazo. Partes extra. Ron Baba una decepción. No fue suficiente y jarabe de esponja muy seco.

Dropped in for brunch today and it was perfect. Porridge was the best in Birmingham followed by French Toast and a Bacon Butty

Quirky, attractive sort of place with an assortment of tables, chairs & décor. Reasonable lunch menu with a choice of salads, sandwiches, cakes etc. We opted for sandwiches (steak with onion and a chicken one) which were quite good – nicely presented with some very tasty fries. Service was friendly enough but a bit on the slow side. Although they advertise alcoholic drinks on the blackboards they aren’t actually available because they don’t have a licence – didn’t really understand why. Overall it was an ok place to have lunch but not so good that I would use again.

Been going here for a couple of years. Service took a dip over the summer of 2017 - too many waiting staff not organised enough and bit shapeless - but I've been back a couple of times in January and it's pretty slick again now. Lovely food and atmosphere. And it's got its mojo back. Strongly recommended for breakfast, coffee and cake, or a light lunch.

No realmente. . Muy bien. . Muy bien. . La cocina cierra a las 5 PM. . No es "no nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos. Nos fuimos y la buena comida en otro lugar. Lugar es acogedor y bastante barato, que está bien cuando solo quieres algo rápido, mientras que en un descanso, pero no volveremos por un largo tiempo.

Tuvimos una reunión de negocios cerca y es mediodía. Hay algo de tiempo a la izquierda antes de la próxima reunión por la zona y sólo irrumpía en la cafetería más cercana.

Pedimos un par de bebidas calientes y un par de rodajas de bizcocho. A pesar de que el café estaba a menos de un tercio completo que tardó mucho tiempo en llegar. Mucho más de lo que me esperaba. El café estaba bien y la tarta estaba bien, pero no vale la pena la espera inusualmente largo.

I love this coffee shop for breakfast. I regularly have take away latte and toast (and sometimes I have a sneaky cake to take away as well!) and it is always really tasty. On the occasions I get to sit in and eat, there is a really good, friendly atmosphere. It feels quirky, homely, stylish, unique - lots of different things and a lovely combination! The staff are always very welcoming. A lovely little find.

I love this place, especially for breakfast. My favourite has to be the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon followed by a black Americano. The staff are really really friendly here and they serve you really quick whether you are are eating in or taking away. If I have lunch here I really recommend the feta cheese and cous cous salad. Hot fresh from the kitchen you can even see the chef making your food while you wait.Selection of cakes and beverages are available and the decor is really comfortable and home warming. Definitely one of my favourite places to go for breakfast and lunch.

Been a few times with collegues as well as my boyfriend. The coffee is good and the lunch is great if you want to have somewhere to sit and chat. Panini and a latte were about 8 pounds which is about average for similar in this area. Would return.

My partner and I were staying opposite Home is Where at the Hotel du Vin, and popped across the road for a spot of late lunch.The place is a little gem - really friendly staff served us up some lovely food, with the Jasmine, Green Tea and a Raspberry Cake the highlight.Will definitely return here when next in Brum.

I've visited a few times (had nearly all the wrap options on the menu - all delicious!). It's tucked away from the main road. Have to go at the right time otherwise you won't get a seat at lunchtime. Can get pretty busy and you will have to wait for food - but good size lunch portions and always delicious. Take away cakes are also great. Menu not too varied so a specials menu would be good.

Popped in here for lunch as it looks really nice. Ordered a Lamb Kofta received a rather small Hotdog, This was a take out order that came in a box so I didn't see the mistake until I got back to the office and going by the portion size it just wasn't worth the 5 minute walk back.

This cafe is overpriced, with tiny potions and extortionate prices. The service was slow and our table dirty. Will not be coming back.

A homely atmosphere with chilled music I recommend coming here with friends for a chat over a nice cup of coffee.

This is my second visit, the atmosphere in here is very lively and relaxing, a nice place for a quick late breakfast or brunch. I had the falafel wrap which was delicious and warm. Friendly staff welcome you with a smile! Nothing more said. I am now known as 'second visit lady'.

Called all over lunch period for a takeaway lunch. Ordered the Croque Monsiour. Was nowhere to wait for my order so stood quite awkwardly. Waited about 15 minutes (only had 30 for lunch) but understandable as cafe busy. Maybe an idea to have a seating area for takeaway peopleLunch was delicious. Very well presented for a takeaway meal. Will return.

Always a great visit here, I never want to walk past without stopping. They serve the best tasting de-caff coffee for miles around. Delicious scrambled eggs. If you've already have breakfast then one of the great tasting pastries might tempt you. Great music choices that never seem to get in the way of having a good conversation but are more likely to stimulate it.

Great atmosphere, friendly service and tasty coffee, light lunches and cake. Everything from bacon or fish finger sarnies, deli boards to share, to goats cheese and candied walnut salad. What's not to like :)

Across the road from Hotel du vin serving all day meals, good breakfast menu with eat in or take away options, order and pay at counter and food served to table, comfortable seating with lots of newspapers and magazines.

A friend and I visited for brunch. A warm welcome and lovely setting. Quick service of sandwich and lamb kofta following by cakes and coffee. Definitely return.

The name invokes the idea of somewhere warm and cosy but don’t let the home fool you because one thing you can’t expect when visiting here to feel warm & cosy! Don’t ask for the door to be closed because it’s not possible, the place would fill up with smoke!; that’s what we were told at least . Whether or not they’re going to address this I’m not sure, but clearly they need to fit some sort of extractor fan or a more efficient one because they’ll be lots of cold customer’s in the coming winter month’s… This may have not helped in our evaluation of the place in general but there were other things that weren’t particularly great also. The waiting time was around 20 – 25 mins. In all fairness, it was busy but equally we only had sandwiches so I can’t really see why it should take so long; They didn’t even get our order totally right once it came. My friend’s mozzarella & tomato toastie came without tomato [face-palm] but to be fair, this was very quickly rectified. On a plus note, I had the chicken, spinach and red pepper pesto sandwich served with a side salad topped with couscous which was all quite tasty. My friend didn’t seem very happy with the Pastrami sandwich, he felt it would have been better with some gherkin and some more mayo as it was a little dry. I’m going to give an average rating, I think my friend would have been keen to have given 2/5 stars but I think that may be a little harsh. Based on my initial impressions & visit as a whole, I won’t be rushing back however.

What a great place.Generous portions of brown toasted bread spread smoothly with just the right quantity of butter.Smooth and creamy scrambled eggs and a good portion of smoked salmon.In London this would cost a lot in the centre of town - in central Birmingham this was a serious treat at a very reasonable price.Very nice unusual décor, tables, ample space and near everything essential.excellent and friendly staff too.

I love Home Deli, it is bar far my most favourite place to lunch. Quirky and quaint it's smoke salmon bagels are to die for! If I could eat there every lunch I would! A firm favourite!

Lovely little cafe in a quieter part of town. Nice relaxed and comfortable feel, lovely food, lovely coffee and lovely staff. Definitely worth a visit.

Had a really nice lunch in this independent cafe on weekend break in Birmingham.The food was tasty and exceptionally good value. The staff were quietly efficient; the atmosphere relaxed and friendly.If you'd much rather eat in an independent little gem, such as Home is Where, than a chain eatery then this is a great place to try. We liked it so much we went back for breakfast the next day! One of those nice little places you like to find away from the main drags of a city centre.

The menu sounded exciting, however the food was not quite what it was described as, it definitely lacked a little oomph and lettuce in the side salad had seen better days. However the drinks were very and the waitresses were lovely and smiley. Not sure if I'd go again.......

Great for lunch in the city centre. The clientele are a mixture of office workers, people meeting up with friends, a couple of contractors from the local building sites and shoppers.The tea and coffee are reliably good and the food is well-made and tasty. Definitely one of the best places in Birmingham for a quick lunch.

On our way back to snow hill station myself and my partner decided to stop for a coffee here and was very pleased at the tasty coffee and delicious food. I had the French toast with fresh fruit and syrup it was out of this world, I can't stop thinking about it actually I really need to go back ASAP! I am 8 months pregnant I think this is my late craving! My partner had a ham and cheese toast which was quite big and came with a side salad - again he said it was delicious!Great value for money, comfortable, laid back environment. I would highly recommend.

Had lunch here as a treat as I work close by. Very busy with a nice atmosphere. It may be less busy at weekends because of its location. Varied menu suitable for breakfast onwards. I chose the chicken caeser salad (minus the achovies). It was very tasty and they didn't scrimp on the chicken.Ordered a cappuccino for afters which was brought to my table. Lovely and hot with a nice frothy layer.Being just a short walk from the cathedral this place is definitely worth a try. Just opposite Hotel du Vin.The good: free wifi which works, friendly and helpful staff, quirky/interesting interior, good food selection.The not so good: Nothing!

I visited with my son for the first time today what a lovely quirky cafe large light and airy but cosy really friendly staff my pot of tea was very good and my son was happy with his coffee. I am very pleased we found this cafe

Lovely little cafe right next to all the career agencies in Birmingham, consequently you get suited and booted types with briefcases nervously sipping coffee prior to their interview ( like me for instance).Luckily, it's a lovely friendly place, the coffee is good, and it's not too expensive considering its location.

My husband has a very average sausage sandwich and my breakfast didn't arrive!! And they didn't even notice. Had to go somewhere else for my breakfast. Rubbish service and I will never go back again

We walked around the city centre for some time trying to find a nice atmospheric place to have a cooked breakfast, and were surprised at the lack of choice. Home Is Where was a good find, nice and airy inside; the coffee was good, but they should really be offering freshly squeezed orange juice rather than concentrated, and the French toast was OK but my partner, who knows about these things, felt it wasn't hot, fresh or succulent enough.

Caught up with friends over a couple of beers and some AMAZING FOOD. Lovely atmosphere, perfect place to chill out :) :) :) :)

This is a great cafe in heart of Birmingham. It's good food and coffee, with friendly service and warm atmosphere, sets it apart from the many coffee shops in the area. The prices are reasonable and the menu is varied and very tasty!

This quirky cafe is in an ideal spot in the centre of Birmingham. The drinks and food are really good, the only problem is the extraction system for cooking smells is useless. You sit in here for 20 minutes at lunch time and you'll spend the rest of the day reeking of fried food. I mean, it's as if you've been stood over a frying pan yourself. If they sorted this, I'd give it 5 stars.

I left a fairly negative view of "Home" some months ago, and thought I'd give it another go. This time much better. Went for a quick lunch. Very good quiche and salad, really nice atmosphere with the place nearly full. Service good and price very reasonable.

Good coffee, friendly and attentive staff, great atmosphere, reasonable prices. It is a place where you can rest, talk, read and enjoy.
