Booked for their bbq with friends. Have been before. Exceedingly disappointing experience. Not much choice . Some items clearly not possible to bbq like goujons of cod. Very expensive £27.50 for a burger. lacking in atmosphere. Would not return . This place has amazing potential which is being totally wasted .

Having been a year previously, I thought it would be good. Oh, how it’s changed! The menu said it was a BBQ, but apart from a burger, that was only partially cooked on the bbq, everything else was cooked in the kitchen, goujons of cod, a hot dog. Very disappointing, no steak, grilled fish. They are really missing a trick here. It’s a great setting, but it seemed that the chef was off and the waiting staff were pitching it and turning out mediocre food that anyone could make at home. Will not be returning.

Last Saturday, my family went to the BBQ evening at Holland and Holland. We had drinks and ate on the terrace with the wonderful views of the grounds. We were very lucky with the weather and had a wonderful evening. The BBQ menu is limited but offers sufficient options for most people. I had a great burger, with amazing triple cooked chips (the best I have ever had) wonderful crispy corn on the cob and broccoli (price £29). The staff were very friendly and helpful which made it a perfect evening. My family will definitily go back again in August whilst the BBQ evenings are still taking place.

Had the Lamb Hogglet for the main. A mistake. Tasty enough but the stingiest portion of food I have ever been served. If the chef had any decency he would be self disgusted to serve such a miserly portion. A single medallion of lamb barely two inches in diameter. H & H taking the piss with the portion size. Comments were made to the waiter in joking manner but ignored. I really should have complained but it is not my style to make a fuss. I left hungry after a 3 course meal and had to eat again when I got home which you ought not to have to do after spending £77 per head. Other's in our company ordered the serloin and it was acceptable portion size but the 3 of us who ordered the hogglet were very dissapointed.

Wow wow wow - having lived locally for many many years - can’t believe we have only just discovered this fantastic restaurant. Being a foodie with foodie friends we all were amazed with the quality and would say its worthy of a star. Joshua Hunter and his team produced an excellent three courses, great value and in a beautiful lodge setting. We returned again very quickly and again JH knocked it out the park - do hope he stays in Northwood.

Holland & Holland The lodge restaurant is such a wonderful location. We loved eating outdoors on the terrace. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. I will definitely go back again and again
