Rude manager, I booked a table for x4 today, we arrived early so I waited with my dog in the front Porch while my husband went to check if it was OK to come early, suddenly a staff member became hysterical shouting there was a dog. A different member of staff came and said dogs need to be brought through the other patio entrance. Ok fair enough. We then went to the patio entrance and asked where we were allowed to sit with the dog. We ordered our food and went to the calvery station to collect our order. The manager was standing there we stood to wait to be served and the manager looked up and down at us ( I don't know why because she looked dishevelled herself with her dirty black jeans and old jumper) the manager then barked at us asking If she could help us? ( we were clearly waiting to be served at the calvery) the manager then said it does not open till 12pm. We went back to our table as i noticed it was 11:58. I do think we could have been addressed with a better manner as this aggressive approach was already spoilng our visit. I would not be visiting again with this manager attitude it really spoit our lunch out the way some staff behave

The food was good, I had the pepperoni pizza and my daughter had the carvery. There was a good atmosphere and the service from the waitress Sarah was really good, she was friendly, helpful and attentive. I would definitely come back again.

I recently held a wake for a dear friend at Waters Edge, and I can't express enough how grateful I am to the entire team for making the day so perfect. From the initial planning stages to the event itself, the manager, Amanda, and her staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the level of customer service was exceptional. Paola, Trish, Michaela, and Ben were all incredibly attentive, making sure all our guests felt comfortable and cared for. Amanda's compassionate and professional approach made a difficult day so much easier to bear. She took care of every detail, allowing us to focus on celebrating our friend's life. I highly recommend Waters Edge for any event, especially those requiring a special touch. Thank you again to Amanda and the team for their outstanding service.

The food was horrible , not prepared or cooked properly, long waiting times , the staff unfriendly(old man bartender who also love to disagree w people here) with quite of an attitude not very welcoming , the space is very closed down claustrophobic it almost stinks overpriced for what it is the location is lovely tho

Came here with my family and ordered calzone for myself, also heard feedback from my parents saying the carvery was incredible. Pizza was served by a waiter named Joel, and my parents told me to thank Cameron for the service on the carvery

Nice place if you have young kids. Lovely walk around the water s ee all the different ducks and then have a play in the park all before dinner. Carvery very good with a choice of meats plus a vegetarian choice. There is also an extensive menu for those not wanting a roast. Nice place for a meetup . Went there for mothers day. There's plenty of ice cream vans to keep the kids happy

Place is fabulous. Very clean, staff always professional and always happy to help. Food is amazing. Everything is always immaculate. I have two young children and they love it there. 100% recommend this place. Food is delicious and always fresh.

When the sun is out is so nice to chill outside on the fresh air. Place itself- inside isn't bad. Tried to order from the table but the deals were not available online, so end up ordering at the bar. Gentleman serving us was helpful. Food arrived quiet quick. Could of have more flavours but for the price cant complain.

Ordered a beef sandwich, menu stated, beef from the carvery, I thought, yummy. The sandwich arrived. Dry brown bread, beef from the carvery was, all the dried out bits that was obviously not put on carvery plates from the actual carvery. Not one piece of nicely sliced beef. On the up sides, some of our partners had the carvery & they said it was lovely.

Vile food. We ordered a burgers and chips here via just eat. First time eating from here and the last. The burgers had a cat food like texture. The chips were dry and had been reheated. Made me and my partner feel queasy for hours.

Popped in for a drink after an evening walk. Nice, friendly staff. Drinks reasonably priced. Nice & clean inside.

Had a beautiful birthday lunch here. The beef roast dinner was exactly how I liked to have it and so reasonably priced. It was a Tuesday afternoon and the pub was very busy and yet it had such a peaceful calm and relaxing atmosphere with great views of the Lido I could have sat there all day! Will definitely want to eat here again!

Deep-fried food fail, round one: cold and sad. They refunded my order and gave me another try, but round two was even worse! Burnt to a crisp, it was totally inedible. And don't even get me started on the drink prices. £4.30 for a large Coke? Highway robbery! I'm seriously thinking twice about eating there again. That whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and not just from the burnt food.

Disappointing signage. Paid £7.50 to park in the car park (which is absolutely extortionate and more than I’ve ever paid in central London), only to receive a £60 fine because it was the wrong car park as we went to the little railway. We never even went in to the pub, and now we will never be going. I hope you take the £67.50 that I worked hard for and spend it on better signage so that you don’t rip off the next poor family that parks in the wrong car park

Haven't been here for years. Decided to go as they had a £6 offer for the carvery. Bought 2 carvery and ice cream bottomless one LARGE PEPSI MAX. The glass was given to us was a standard Pepsi glass hold 330m. For just over a price of £4 that's a joke glass. They do apparently small, medium and large glasses. I thought this was a mediuim, no way large. Then went to the carvery, I asked if I could have a wing, was told there not allowed to give the wing as someone had choked on one. Them owners Mitchell and butlers is the same a the toby carvery and they dont have a problem giving the wings. The food was nice but very little choice in veggies. So went to get the bottomless ice cream. Asked for the container that was all paid for and I did ask if I needed a receipt was told no, just come up and ask. Different server at the till said that there was no ice on our table puchased. The originally lady who served us came back and clarified it was paid for. Given a small paper tub with a wooden spoon for the ice cream. They only had sauce not the extra, which were at a extra cost but none to be seen. They had not been replenished. Then the ice cream machine was empty!! The elderly gentleman in front of use had been given a proper glass desert dish but we were given paper with wooden spoon. Thevuce cream machine was up and working after bout 10 mins. Very disappointed in all at our visit.

I would like to share how I was treated on my recent visit to this restaurant. I was left bitterly humiliated and degraded with the appalling behaviour of the staff which is beyond measures to comprehend. I work in customer services myself in a financial industry and never have I seen this kind of treatment done to a customer which has left me with the worst kind of experience ever in my life. I was personally attacked and I felt I was a victim of racism done by one of the restaurant staff .

We just had our Christmas party here for a group of around 25/30 people and it was truly amazing. The private space was the ideal size for our group, with having extra space to dance. The managers were very responsive and accommodating throughout the booking process, as well as our many questions. Their communication was really fantastic from start to finish. The team could not have been more lovely, the food and drinks were great and we had the best time! You guys really made our night and we will definitely be back! Thank you so much!!!

Always loved the carvery here and now there's so many other options on the menu for those who don't particularly like a roast dinner. The pizzas are excellent so if you have kids who just want a burger or a pizza whilst the adults enjoy a roast dinner, they pretty much have you covered and the quality is exceedingly good without having to pay an extortionate price like some gastro pubs. The staff are really friendly, especially the young server Joel who cleared our table for us, before and after our meal. He was very smiley and polite... He looks like he really loves his job and it shows.

Cheap and cheerful! Came with a group of 10 and the staff were very lovely and accommodating to us. Love the carvery - the turkey was really good, sadly the beef wasn’t ready when we were there (after lunch service so understandable). Cleaned the table quickly and brought our tea for us as we needed help carrying. Thanks guys !

Terrible experience. Ordered food it come out and unfortunately chicken wings was raw! Spoke to management they said they cooked another batch of wings and the same said it was a bad batch of chicken. Only got an apology and some money back. Will not be attending here ever again just so lucky I never gave the food to my daughter

A very welcoming restaurant with a great atmosphere, plentiful hot and tasty food. Having an early breakfast and great to see such a mixed community and ages making good conversation and enjoying themselves.

Had a wonderful visit with my aunt and dad. We enjoyed the carvery and BBQ chicken burger—both were excellent, with fresh, hot food regularly replenished. The service was fast, professional, and welcoming. The only slight disappointment was not being seated by the window, despite it being a special occasion and a table being available. However, the overall experience was fantastic. Great food at a good price—highly recommend!

Nice breakfast buffet for a good price

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Desmond and Amanda who showed us where to get the food from at the breakfast buffet. They were smiling and bubbly which made the overall experience of going really welcoming. It was quite quiet so not a massive bustling atmosphere the both times I went but that’s not necessarily an issue and my family really enjoyed their meals nonetheless. The pizza is delicious I would definitely recommend and if you’re on a student budget like myself they have very good daily deals on Mondays and Tuesday with 50% off food. The vegetarian sausages at the breakfast weren’t the nicest I’ve ever tasted but overall I enjoyed both my meals here and would visit again.
