We visited as a family a big group of us. We cannot fault the service we received from Sarah and Alex. All of us were greeted and explained how it works. Everyone enjoyed the pizzas and burgers. We will be back again soon.

We had 3 large carveries and were very happy with the food. The chef was really the only person we had contact with, because of the awful ordering from the table, and he was nice enough. The table ordering is the biggest downside and maybe in summer there is a benefit but in winter when there is not such a rush it makes it a cold, unwelcoming place. It's a self service feeling which is a shame as English pubs are world famous for their customer contact.

Great food and friendly environment as usual. I have just read some of the reviews and frankly - I don’t understand. I have visited the restaurant several times so far and never had any problems. Even my daughter with her family from South Korea were very happy with their dinner in this restaurant. Yes, I paid a parking fine once when I paid the parking fee but parked on the restaurant designated place without checking my registration number in - but it was my fault, didn’t look properly. It’s a kind of a little pleasure to stop in this restaurant even just for a cup of coffee after the walk.

Arrived an hour early with extra diners but the duty manager sorted out a table for us without a drama. We were early after I had had a hard slog volunteering at the Santa Special Railway and, as there was not a big queue to see Father Christmas we were earlier than I guessed. In addition, my niece joined us at the last minute after her visit was cancelled last weekend due to the storm. She has had a lot of health issues this year and it was just nice to rock up early with extra guests and not be made to feel a nuisance but to be greeted kindly. She did that. And I appreciated it. We all had burgers and they were fab! Thank you again.

Water's Edge Ruislip Don't use this restaurant unless you are prepared for a nasty aftertaste weeks later when you are sent a parking ticket. Despite paying a hefty fee to park in their car park (£8.50 for a few hours), weeks, possibly over a month later I was sent a parking ticket demanding £85 pounds stating - my car was not authorised to park at this car park. No signs visible on way into car park, or when paying to park. No notice stating AUTHORISED VEHEICLES ONLY - anywhere clearly visible. THIS IS A SCAM and should not be allowed. The DVLA should be ashamed of themselves for facilitating this type of operation. Here we have a business preying on those people unfamiliar with the rigmarole necessary to park in their car park and not get a ticket.

Had a carvery today (28/10/24) with my friend after our long walk. It was a very nice meal, 3 different meats - turkey, gammon & beef plus all the lovely vegetables, roast potatoes, etc etc. Delicious! The staff at The Watersedge are so lovely & friendly too. I forgot my mobile phone, left on the table. They contacted my emergency contact person & left a message to say the phone was safe with them. I was relieved to get it back & thanked the two young ladies very much. They went above & beyond to help out.

Absolutely brilliant service from Ben, he was extremely helpful and made our visit an extremely pleasant one!

Perfect location for a our step mum’s 90th Birthday lunch. We had a range of ages from 6-90. Carvery meats were lovely and moist/flavourful. Kids loved the pizzas. Staff were very helpful especially Amanda and Paula who happily brought in our cake and sang happy birthday, along with a lovely birthday card.

Amazing! Hundreds stars 😋😋😋 . I visited with my wife. I was super hungry but we are pure vegetarian. I asked the guy if there any cross contamination by any chance. So he recommended me veg pizza. I asked other food he said I don't recommend there might be cross contamination. I liked this thing that he informed straight way. Finally we got pizza. Really it was amazing. Super delicious and healthy. Healthy I'm saying because whenever I eat pizza I feel bloating but this pizza was so good. I digest it easily. The base was maybe made with multi grains. So overall it was amazing experience. The service 100/100. Food 100/100. Loved it. Will visit again. Thank you so much

Turned up on a Sunday lunchtime to try our luck getting a table for a carvery it was busy but a young lady called Sarah got us in 👌 Food was hot and tasty and not a bad price either Overall very pleased,will definitely visit again when we come back to London in the future….

Lovely Sunday lunch, excellent service and food. Only reason food gets 4 starts not 5 is that the sticky toffee pudding and custard was a bit cold! The rest was great. Thanks to Joel and the team for your fab service.

Great food, great prices, lovely atmosphere

On Monday my elderly and invalid father decided to come in to the restaurant for lunch after a dog walk. We accidentally walked into the wrong door with our dog. Immediately, we were shouted at by the 'chef' behind the Carvery counter and also a waitress, who both yelled across the restaurant that we had walked in the wrong door and had to go out and come back in the next door ie the bar area. My elderly father just needed to sit down before we ordered lunch, but as the waitress proceeded to follow us through the bar, still yelling at us for having come in the wrong door, we abruptly left. My family and I have been to this restaurant many times before over the years, and the staff have always been friendly and accommodating. I'm not sure if the staff were new or if the restaurant is under new management, but our treatment was absolutely appalling, and we will definitely not be returning. Terrible customer service and appalling, disrespectful treatment of an elderly man.

I’ve been coming here for considerable amount of years now and enjoy it very much and was very upset to hear that it may be changing to some crack thing very disappointed because it is a lovely place especially after a nice walk around the lido with the dog then followed by a lovely road please don’t go changing it and messing things up. Why stick something that’s not broken and if you do, you will lose customers. us for starters

A very welcoming restaurant with a great atmosphere, plentiful hot and tasty food. Having an early breakfast and great to see such a mixed community and ages making good conversation and enjoying themselves.

We haven't been to waters edge in a while because it gets quite difficult to find a table with our son in a wheelchair,today Keiran found us the most perfect table out of everybody's way and it meant a lot to us. Food lovely as always.thanks !!

Best place I've ever been to. The dude that bought us the pizza, Joel his name was, was the best! I have never seen such good hospitality at a restaurant, deserves a raise. In my opinion, he was the most polite out of every other worker there and he deserves all the praise he can get.

Honestly one of the nicest places I've visited in the area. The atmosphere was nice, the food was really tasty and the wait wasn't that bad at all. I was served by a server named Joel and He was very friendly and inviting, made thhe atmosphere very pleasant and homey. I would honestly go here every time I feel like going out if it wasn't for the distance between me and the place. I would give 10/10 of 5 wasn't the max.

I would just like to say a huge ‘Thank you’ for the wonderful service we received from Amanda & Kieran today. They went above and beyond to source some special butter for my daughter to have on her toast as she was unable to eat the regular butter on offer. This is a great value breakfast, so much choice and excellent service. Thank you , we will be back.

I eat at the Waters edge very often, usually having a wide variety of foods of the menu. I haven't had one thing that has been bad, food is of amazing quality. Staff are really friendly too, special shout out to Veronica, Sarah, and Charlot for exceptional service and great conversations. It would be a real shame if The Waters Edge was ever to close, it is my family's favourite place to dine. Will see me again soon.

We eat here a bit too often and the food has good variation, but all still tastes nice. We usually go for a good Carvery. The staff are friendly and the vibes are cozy with the help of Veronica, Charlot and Sarah who are all lovely. It would be a big shame if it closed down :( Thank you!

Charlotte is amazing at her job!

As a family we spent approximately £15 a head. I was served by a young man named Jermaine. He was patient, attentive and courteous. We will almost certainly be back.

Was a nice meal, shame plates were cold and food was cold quickly. Need to warm plates.

Had a lovely roast today at The Waterside. Really welcoming, great for families (we were a big group including 7 babies), lots of space and great value for money. Lovely carvery, I thoroughly recommend - especially the baby carvery bowls (yorkshire pud and veggies for only 99p)

As always amazing service. Sarah was put server today and made sure we were all well looked after. My mother in law visits twice a year from the USA and is always adamant that we come here multiple times through her visit solely for the food and service!

Me and my partner went for some dinner as a treat and we had a lovely meal, we were served by Sarah, who is always so friendly and always greets us with a smile. My partner had a few questions about some items on the menu and Sarah had fantastic knowledge of the menu, even told us what is popular with other customers. The restaurant is very lucky to have staff like Sarah! Overall a lovely evening out. Will be coming back again for another date night!

Great spot! Burgers were top-notch, especially ‘The Dirty Philly,’ and the ‘Above and Beyond’. The Hazy Jane were a good alternative to the NeckOil if you’re an IPA fan. Good vibes, dog-friendly, and Kieran Dean Jermaine gave excellent service. Definitely recommend.

Charlotte and the rest of the staff are lovely, it’s a friendly place with a good atmosphere. We have breakfast here often and the food is always tasty . A lovely place to eat or have a coffee followed by a lovely walk around the lido.

Amazing time was had by all the family. We booked in advance as there was 24 of us. The staff were so helpful with accommodating all our different needs. The view from the dining room across the lido is lovely. We will definitely look to book again.
