bland tasteless food. Waste of money. Never again.

the food was not very good the taste was all sweet like sugar considering the cost the food was abysmal won't be coming back at nearly 10 pound per dish it's the worst Chinese I been to the chicken was rubber and dry I gave two stars at least it was edible

I had a disappointing experience with this restaurant. After placing an order, it was rejected with the explanation that I live too far, even though the restaurant is just a 13-minute drive from my house. When I called to inquire, the response was unfriendly and lacked professionalism. I hope they can address these issues for a better customer experience in the future

Most of the food came at the right time but no prawn crackers even though we paid for them. Called the restaurant and they said they'd send some out. It's been over half an hour and we're still waiting.

Normally meat is great but chicken was hard and chewy and beef was tough and stringy. When spat out chicken after a long chew it was literally in long stringy strands. not up to the normal standard

Always order from ho lok tried many others in the past but nothing compares to this Chinese, food is always outstanding

Had delivery from here today for my daughter’s birthday. The only dish that had flavour and seasoning was the crispy beef. The beef chow mein had no flavour and beef was tough and noodles dry, chicken in black bean sauce was ok, udon with mixed meat was bland and dry. Seaweed was nice and veg spring rolls were ok. All in all £65 spent and the only thing that was eaten was the crispy beef, seaweed and spring rolls and a little of the chicken as only one person out of 4 liked it. Sorry, will never order from you again or recommend . Food wasted and birthday dinner spoilt

Have used Ho Lok many times before and will continue to do so, never had an issue with the food or delivery, 5 stars every time.

Bland noodle dishes with no flavour, spring rolls tasted like they’d been warmed up, no satay sauce, very disappointed - not ordering from here again unfortunately!!

The food was nice enough. The chow mein is quite dry and the satay chicken was pretty awful but the rest was fine.

Haven't ordered from Ho Lok for a while but not as good as it used to be. Noodles were gelatinous and the sweet & sour was mainly sauce - hardly any chicken. Disappointed.

good food, they listen to your requests for no veg as my kids are such picky eaters. best beef in black bean sauce i have ever had, beef is tender and not too chewy like other takeaways i’ve had! would recommend.

Insipid, tasteless and overpriced. The stock in the wonton soup was like water.

Salt and pepper wings are normally much better, not enough salt and pepper in my opinion which is a shame as the wings looked good

Prawn toast had no prawns, noodles were dry with no taste. Squid was not squid. Won’t be ordering again.

Everything we ordered was nice. Have had better egg fried rice from other places, however would definitely order from here again. Ducks rolls were great!

At my retirement block we use Ho Lok quite often - always thrilled with the quality of the food and it's still hot when we get it. We will continue to use them in future - great value. Our only gripe is that the delivery instructions of how to use our Entryphone system are ALWAYS ignored by the drivers - and they end up thumping on the communal front door to gain attention!

Food had NO FLAVOUR at all. My 7 year old could produce a better meal. Hospital food tastes more flavourful then both dishes I ordered. Never wasting my money again and I'm still so hungry!

Ho Lok is by far the most superior Chinese take away I have had in my area. So much I've got most of my friends on the band wagon as well and are more than happy to wait for the delivery if it takes longer than usual due to how good the food always is.

We were told delivery would be 6.25 to 6.45 and so none of the ten guests were here and no plates had been warmed nor cutlery prepared. It would have been nice to have had a text message or phone call to get people here earlier as it arrived about 5.50pm! The food was excellent but some people could not get here quickly and so their food was getting cold.

Food was good and arrived earlier than predicted which was amazing considering it was a Saturday night.

I requested Singapore noodles incorrectly being an idiot where I wanted vermicelli noodles (how?) in my king prawn chow mein. The amazing people at Ho Lok still complied with the request perfectly. I’ve been eating here for a few years now, already trying all the others in the Bromley area & they never cease to amaze me!
