The food is good, I like the taste.

Have just stopped here for a quick portion of salt and pepper squid Food is delicious quick service and Price wasn’t too too bad Would definitely use again

We ordered a takeaway and two of the dishes were wrong. Both contained meat and they were meant to be vegetarian. We called them when we got home and they wouldn't deliver the right dishes that we ordered so we had to go back and pick it up. The food was completely tasteless and service awful.

Food was absolutely disgusting. I saw them cook it in the microwave. Staff was rude and abrupt with absolutely no manners. Wouldn't even recommend to Hitler if he was starving as it would be too evil. Never coming again

First time using this Chinese takeaway, as our usual was closed, was pleasantly surprised, food was good, & reasonably priced compared to others I saw online, will be using again.

We were nicely surprised how tasty the food is - even better as they are excellent value for money too. The staff are hard working and is very helpful. We have returned a couple of times already and will continue to do so.

Not for the first time, order was wrong when i reached home. Ordered King Prawn Chow Mein came without any King Prawns. Last time they got it wrong, a few months ago, I ordered sweet and sour king prawn balls and was given chicken. When I phoned to complain tonight, which was after I had eaten my meal, they asked me to return the plain Chow Mein and they’d cook me the right one! As this would have meant getting my car back out of the garage, driving 10 minutes there ten minutes back etc, I just said I would post this review instead.

Two long hairs in my food...disgusting!

I was really happy after my husband and I found 2 items on the menu that we liked that did not have any added sugar. We ordered them on Thursday 30th, only to find they added significant amount of sugar to the food! WHY? I THINK HEALTH INSPECTORS SHOULD DEMAND THAT MENUS INDICATE ADDED SUGAR JUST AS ALLERGIE INDUCING ITEMS ARE DECLARED. Will not be using bamboo again

Was my first time ordering from Bamboo, most definitely won't be my last. The duck in plum sauce was the best i've had.

Absolutely awful chinese ,curry sauce that bad threw away ,egg fried rice tasted stale ,chow me in ok , would never use this Chinese again ,wish I coul give no stars ,waste of money ,thrown most of it away

Bang on Chinese every time! Changed hands a few times over the last few years, but it's now running tings in the area.

Make sure you check your order as they charge you for more expensive dishes and give you cheaper ones.

Just nasty. One of the pork balls were black inside and were really hard. Uncooked bits of rice in my tofu dish.I can honestly say, this was the worst Chinese I've ever had. Maybe they were just having a bad day, as I can see other customers have given them a good rating. I'm not sure I'm willing to give them a second chance though!

Please note that everyones tastes are individual.. this is my personal experience 😊 After moving away from an excellent chinese takeaway at my last location, i have searched Orpington for a similar chinese takeaway, it has taken me 7 years but i think i have found it here at the Bamboo! I was basing my search on mushroom rice, chicken curry & sweet an sour chicken balls. It was almost a perfect match. My only critisism is the curry sauce may have been a bit sweeter than i remember and the sweet an sour sauce a bit thinner, but other than that it was perfect! Friendly staff and a nice clean shop, generous portion sizes and a really good price. I believe it is cash only but there is a cash point a few shops down. I think i have found my new go to chinese takeaway... happy me!

Went in today and asked for plain noodles with nothing on and what do I get, noodles with veg and beensprouts in. When I called up they pretty much just lied straight to me. They have got my families order wrong quite a few times. Don't recommend at all!

I checked TWICE when ordering if the food contained peanuts, both times the lady confirmed that it did not contain peanuts. I collected the food, took it home, started eating, and started to have an allergic reaction. My partner called them back, to check again, and she said again, “yes, no peanuts In your order”. My partner asked her if she was sure because I’m having a reaction - at THAT point she said she will check with the chef. The chef said there was peanut butter in one of my dishes. They offered a refund - to my horror - I needed an ambulance, not a refund. I spent 5 hours in a+e after being taken there in an ambulance. These people know NOTHING about what they are cooking or serving. Please do not go here if you have allergies as they have NO IDEA and the don’t CARE about your LIFE!

ok if you like aniseed! worst ever - had a mushroom ommelette which was tainted by aniseed but so was every other course and they forgot the chips! - ended up with beans on toast - waste of money - never again. Really want to give it no stars but apparently you have to give at least one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have only had one meal from here and it was good. The lady behind the desk was friendly and the wait for food was not too long. The food was cooked well and tasted just like any other Chinese takeaway. The portions were also good.

always use Bamboo now, after trying others in the area. Never had a bad onefrom here.

Tried several Chinese takeaways in the area and don’t think anywhere else beats this place which has been on site for many years but believe us now under new management.

Always go to Bamboo as food is good. A particularly fresh and tasty takeaway tonight.

Had to wait nearly an hour for a takeaway. I would advise going to the chippy next door. Avoid this at all costs

Decided to get a takeaway after finding our usual choice was closed. In all honesty this is a difficult review to write! Nothing was awful, nothing was fantastic! It was all terribly, disappointingly average! The one thing really missing was flavour! The black bean was insipid, the chicken and cashew nuts was packed out with unnecessary carrots and another vegetable which was so bland I couldn’t even tell you what it was! I had to hunt for a cashew and the only way I could make it taste great was to pour a large helping of hoisin sauce on it from the kitchen cupboard! The Singapore rice was ok but lacked that punch of spice you expect! The chicken satay was good as was the prawn toast but unfortunately the complements end there! Everything else was simply meh! I have to say I ate everything because I was hungry, not because it was delicious! If I lived next door I’d probably go back but I don’t do I definitely won’t The young lady who served us was nice and smiley and we got free prawn crackers and fortune cookies. I also thought it was a tad expensive! I was going to rate it as poor but the mixed starters just managed to drag it up to average.

Does what it says on the tin - great Chinese takeaway, good food and great portion sizes. Only comment (not criticism) is that it gets very busy on a Saturday night and can be entertaining with the number of customers telephoning and collecting orders, that sometimes get a bit delayed/confused!

It’s hard to get a good Chinese in the area - I’ve tried many! Good portion sizes, average £5 a pot (others are cheaper nearby) and the food is satisfactory. The prawn crackers are on the thin and greasy side - but they come free so it’s not a complaint. But yes, fav in Orpington.

Bamboo is my favourite Chinese takeaway locally and I've been using this restaurant for over 20 years now. The food is consistently good & all the usual favourite dishes are well cooked as you'd expect. Recommended.

The Bamboo has been my local chinese take away since moving from Central London to Orpington 15 years ago. It never disappoints, food always great and staff always courteous. I like the personal touches, like they remember your name and give you a chinese calendar each year and the free occasional bottle of wine. Highly recommended.

I think the service is excellent always very warm polite and welcoming. The food is nice nothing special but good value for what you get. Generous portions. You get what you pay for.

Well priced quick and tasty what more could you want. Staff are friendly and food is great. Just remember you need cash as they dont take cards.

This Chinese feels clean to eat, the noodles aren't greasy and the duck is too die for! The staff are the kindest most caring people and the food is quickly made! It's really ashame they don't deliver but honestly it's worth the drive to pick up the food!

Local Chinese Takeaway where the food is okay and reasonably priced. The service is friendly. The negatives are that they don't take card payments or do delivery.

This is my local Chinese and I have eaten at/had take awaysFrom quite a few around my area and this is by far my favorite. Usually I find most Chinese places use a lot oil in their food. But here it never seems greasy, and always tastes nice and fresh. Owners are friendly and service is fantastic. Wish it was a sit in restaurant also.
