Some of the rooms are in desperate need of a refresh. The first room I was in had broken heating but had obviously had a recent refurb - very nice. The older room had working heating but could do with a new bathroom. Excellent service in getting the problem sorted! The lobby is also in need of updated furniture - the sofas are very worn with stains. 5* for Maria’s morning hospitality. A lovely way to start the day!

Breakfast was absolutely cold; cold plates, cold food and cold environment. They had the AC on cold and the staff, including the manager, talking amongst themselves as to how much they were enjoying it, the cold. It was freezing outside. Unequivocally, the worst and coldest breakfast I've ever had. Even the water for the tea was lukewarm. The rooms were OK and not the room booked, I got 2 singles instead of a double with no apologies or explanations.

I stayed here for a weekend with my partner the hotel looked beautiful inside and out however during our stay we had 🪳 crawling through our vent i did notice they house people from the local council. So maybe they were there from them however the room was clean upon entering. The young lady who was very polite and apologised and gave the room another clean and offered a new room so it was solved immediately i know these things happen. In the morning we woke up and I noticed a manager speaking to the young lady with disrespect I felt she was being bullied I believe the lady was called agga and she was threatening the young lady about losing her job but in a way that the young lady felt she couldn't say anything and was upset. I saw this as a form of bullying. Apart from the lady disrespecting other staff members that made my experience a bit unpleasant the food was great we slept well and it was reasonably priced

Visited here for a funeral service. Checked in for parking as requested. Assumed that it would be covered for the duration of the wake. Received fine through the post for overstaying. Not happy and leaves a bad feeling of the day. Cowboy parking firm now chasing for their extortionate ticket price. Can't comment on rooms etc.

Room is clean and well laid out. We checked in online, and sorted room key at that point. The ability to use your phone as your door key is genius. For me personally, not the most comfortable bed. But room was dark and peaceful. Be aware that you have to pay for parking. And an additional deposit for room damage is added to your bill

Very friendly staff, I was given a hello by almost all I passed by. The main reception and dining area are nice and modern. But my room and bed (specifically pillows) were such a disappointment. The room is very dated with so many marks on the carpets, walls and furnishings. It also wasn't thoroughly cleaned specifically the high and low areas as it had dust that looked like it had been there for months. And whilst the bed was firm and comfortable but the pillows were way too soft for me. They literally melted beneath my head and I was up every hour to reposition as it provided no support for me. I did ask at reception about firmer ones but what I was replaced with was exactly the same. Therefore for this reason I would not return as for all 3 nights I stayed I didn't have a good rest and I didn't think the room and breakfast was worth over £100 per night.

It's a basic hotel. I would have given 4 stars it they had a bit more water pressure in the shower and maybe complementary drinking water in the room like similar hotels do. Corridors had food smells and plates left outside the rooms. But the staff are reception were brilliant. So friendly, accommodating, and doing a brilliant job.

Don't expect the breakfast to be any good....shockingly poor for a Hilton. Reception staff were extremely good and very professional....rooms were tired, my mattress in 102 was hopeless....and I am not sure handing warm water "in a can" to guests as they arrive is a good policy. There is no air con in the room and no window to open and no fan! No air in the room meant it was a very poor nights sleep. Should do better!

First, I would like to say that we are great advocates of the Hilton group and stay with them many times. We had a pre-flight stay and park and returned with a booking for 28-29 March arriving early hours of 29 March. Pre flight was very good, however, on returning and arriving at 03.30 hours my booking price had increased by £10 from £137 which had been booked on the app and confirmed. The reception staff were charging us for the night of the 29th. The room was most uncomfortable, beds very hard and the pillows should have been discarded. They were so thin and as any housekeeper would know that a pillow which hangs over your arm is useless and unhygienic. Having got to bed at approximately 04.15 hrs we were woken by people banging on doors in our corridor at 06.30. The most disconcerting was the breakfast area and food. Whilst we were met by a very nice host and advised to order our eggs, and help ourselves to the buffet. The eggs were fried very hard for which we made a comment. The chef told us that we should have asked for them soft, so it seems it was our fault. More disturbing were the 'guests'. One man slouched over his drink was asleep and looked very dirty. He left the room a couple of times to have a cigarette outside only to fall asleep again. His t-shirt stated that he was Ukrainian. Other families had children, one who ran around the restaurant and constantly filled their table with food. There were two other families who behaved in a similar fashion. Had I not had such an awful stay and overcharged I would not have felt put out that these families were non-paying guests. Whilst I'm sympathetic to their causes I did feel uncomfortable. When I asked the reception who they were they said they "did not know what to call them". To conclude, the stay was abysmal, the worst. I have emailed the hotel twice and asked for the general managers name but to no avail. Last week I emailed Hilton Head Office and am still awaiting a response. My advice is do not stay here it is woefully below standard.

Undecorated corridors. Almost all drink in the bar unavailable. Shockingly poor cooking. Worst Fish & Chips I’ve ever had. Creaky bed. They’ve been closed for a year, only reopened 3 weeks ago. They really shouldn’t be open yet. Next time we’ll go to the Courtyard up the road.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience at this hotel, we stayed for 2 nights in a family room. The food we had on the first night was over cooked, and the portions are not that great for what you are paying for. The 2nd night there was a function on and the music was so loud that the room we were staying in was vibrating and very loud, we might as well have had a party in our room, it was the worst nights sleep I’ve ever had, my son was kept awake through it all, the staff the next day were very rude on the desk and said it was only till midnight! Not great when you have children staying with you! We were charged for 2 x upgraded breakfasts that should have been included anyway (no idea what an upgraded breakfast is) Very disappointed!!

After paying a fortune for the room I wasn't impressed. It wasn't the cleanest abd very small for what we were led to bekueve was a family room. My daughter spent her wedding night there and was promised they would make it look special. This didn't happen ! There were no clean towels either. All in all a very disappointing stay and woykd not recommend to others

The staff are lovely, the room was fine, was very pleased with my stay until my husband saw the multiple transactions they had taken off our debit card and the unfathonable bill. We ended up paying double what our bill was. They tell me i will get half back in 10 days (so i cannot spend that money for 10 days). They also offered us a £40 voucher for £30. They say we got it but impossible to see on bill. Will never stay here again but as an ex hotel owner i have a simple Excel spreadsheet they can borrow!

Enjoy your £26 frozen microwaved steak! chef observed complaining it was his day off then using his bare hands to put food on to plates. This morning 3 members of our party have food poisoning symptoms. In addition the entire 1st floor smells like raw sewage! I didn't bother with breakfast but I was informed this was also of a shameful standard and served cold! The bed was clean and comfy. But that's the only posative.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Specifically the lady at the breakfast buffet, who made sure all guests had the best possible start to the day. Overall the hotel feels a little tired. Personally not a big fan of carpet in the room, that said room was nice and tidy. At dinner we warned by the staff that the kitchen was starting a new menu and it showed.

Excellent hotel, I stayed here for two nights, I was greeted on arrival with a friendly smile by very competent reception staff, my room was very clean and well laid out with a fridge, coffee/tea making facilities, iron and ironing board & hairdryer. Room service was available if required and on each floor there was a microwave room if you wanted to heat something yourself. My room was cleaned while I was out on the second day, quite impressed. The restaurant menu was a little more cafe food rather than what I would expect from a hotel menu but the food provided from the menu was served well and enjoyable, also a quiet bar area for a drink and socialising. The staff and management were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive in all departments. Overall I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.

We stayed here for a couple of nights whilst working nearby. There is a good sized car park and the hotel is easy to reach. Check in was excellent and professional. Our rooms were large and nicely decorated with plenty of power sockets and good wifi speeds. Service throughout was friendly and efficient. We had breakfast and dinner each day and lunch on one day too - portions were good and prices were better value than most hotels. A nice stay and bargain price for what we received.

Bit disappointed with this hotel. Looks great on the outside but felt like a travelodge or inferior Premier Inn internally. It's a Hilton! I expected more! Rooms are small, the decor felt like hadn't been updated since 50's, not soundproofed, beds were tiny. A double and a three quater for a family of 4. I couldn't sleep. And to charge for parking when it has so much space and its not that near to airport is wrong. Sorry Hilton, maybe I have high standards of maybe you should step in your game!

Check in could not have been easier. Staff are very pleasant and take care of everything you need. Great English breakfast, dinner was delicious but not too many options available if you are staying long, so you eat the same favorite one of your choice. Gym facility was good. Building is dated it shows in the painting in the room, bathroom and the bed. They charge your card during your stay without asking, before your checkout which was a downfall. But I will definitely stay there again. Watiress Maria Pop was so lovely, she has a great personality and is great at what she does.

Staff advised to go to a local curry house instead. £50 taken as a deposit - 3 days later after one night stay it still hasn’t been returned! Bathrooms out of date and appear tired and old. Room was clean on the upside. Staff generally didn’t go out there way. Stayed in other hotels during the pandemic which still offer an excellent service and quality on food. Will avoid in future.

I have ordered from uber eats and this is hands down the worst cookie dough I have ever had in my life through delivery. It was really great value for money if the quality was actually good, but when we received the cookie doughs it was very hard and even tasted a bit burnt. I eventually had to eat with my hands as the cookie doughs were not soft enough to eat with a spoon.

On 08/01/2025, we came here and ordered our first chicken, which was nice. Later, we ordered another chicken, but it was excessively salty. We complained to the staff, but they refused to address our concerns. The server who attended to us neglected our request and didn’t call the chef. When she returned, she suggested that we eat the chicken with the bones so the salty taste would diminish. It was very disappointing.

This was our last ever visit to The Warden Beefeater as it shuts its doors forever on Sunday. This venue has been such a part of my life events over the years as it has been for many. Shame on Whitbread for not realising what a special place this is for all the locals. No consultation offered or details of what this will become . The Warden Tavern we will miss you !
