Always encouraged when I see restaurants offering a Vegan option, I ordered their "Doorstep Marinated Pepper and Plant-Based Feta Toastie with Coleslaw". What a disappointment when it was brought to my table. This £8.99 'Doorstep Toastie' seemed to have been made using just two slices of ordinary white bread, each reduced to the texture of cardboard and the whole thing flattened to (I would estimate) around 1cm or less in thickness in a press. And there was no sign of any coleslaw - just a few Rocket leaves drizzled with what appeared to be vinaigrette. I ate it because I was hungry and there seemed to be nobody to whom I felt able to complain. And then it gave me indigestion too (acid reflux) on the way home. Can we please have quality vegan/plant-based options that don't involve ultra-processed imitation meat or cheese?

We're meant to go to another garden centre but unfortunately they had a big fire and we're closed. We had heard some positive comments about M&T so decided to give it a try. Oh dear, what a disappointment. I gavec2 stars fir the quick service and the lovely staff. Firstly, I will admit that I am super fussy about me full English, so here we go. Meal arrived and my eggs were completely overcooked. Luckily, my partner likes his eggs well done so we changed plates. Right, bacon was very tasty but very undercooked. Sausages were well cooked but not very good quality. Poor taste. Hash brown was overcooked and too crispy. Tomato and mushrooms were OK. Beans were in the smallest ramakin I've ever seen. No more than 2 desserts spoonfuls. Tea and coffee good as was the fruit juice. So, all in all, not impressed. Will not be returning and would not recommend.

Was here today with daughter, son-in-law and grandchild. We had cream teas with raisin scones and clotted cream with jam. Absolutely delicious. Staff are lovely. Price is reasonable so it’s good value. Wonderful shopping experience also

Came along for full English breakfast with an offer, and was really impressed with the quality of food and the organisation. It’s definitely popular as turned up 5 minutes before opening and there must have been 40/50 people queuing already! However it was all managed really well and within 20 minutes of opening doors we were tucking into our delicious breakfast. Staff were friendly and place was very clean. Very happy. Well done guys. We will be back.

On a very wet Saturday visited here for lunch. We all had bowls of chunky chips and my daughter had the kids meal of giant fish finger, chips and peas which she really enjoyed. The chunky chips were really good. It was very busy but plenty of seating and staff. We will be back!

Went here as a friend compared it to Pevensey Cottage tea rooms for its oldy worldiness. It's garden setting has a sense of the 1940's, but I prefer the latter. It's a bit challenging to get to if
