Hikos Kebab Land in Scarborough

Had a meal deal. Extreme amount of food for the money.

I usually am happy with this take away, but not tonight. My partner ordered me a chicken wrap with salad. £8 is quite pricey. No salad! Wrapped so loose it fell apart. Not good enough, how difficult is it to get a basic order right?

Less than a 1 star. The most disgusting pizza I have ever had. Rubbery, incredibly salty and cold. Seemed like a reheated pizza. Would have been better off getting the cheapest aldi cheese and tomato pizza. Needless to say I won’t be ordering from here again.

This cost me £68.30 very disappointing parmos were burnt very thin we asked for mixed there was no kabab and salad was just lettuce and onions, it looked like it was just slopped on any old how , won’t be going back .worst iv ever had . Sorry but food was rank. Chicken felt processed and no flavour.

Kebab land is the best pizza and other take out foods in Scarborough. I’ve lived here my whole life and will always choose kebab land over any take away. The pizzas are absolutely amazing and so so good

Cold kebab and dry hard ni taste and not fresh

Very dry pizza , lacked mozzarella, luke warm with overcooked pepperoni. Could have bought a better goodfellas from Tesco.

Lovely restaurant ! We were served by Cristian and Mădălina, which were very polite and nice with us ! Great service ! Both of them are lovely people and they are doing great service :) Never been served so good as here !

Oh dear oh dear oh dear… ordered our food tonight at 17.55 we were told the delivery would be 45 minutes. 1 hour and twenty minutes later the food arrived. Both the pizza and the kebab were stone cold , both had to be reheated in the microwave. The kebab was not enclosed in the concrete pitta bread and was very salty. Both meals were substandard. We have supported Hiko formally kebabland since I and my team saved the lives of the former owners back in the late seventies following their car crash. Needless to say we will never be patronising this takeaway again. If I could summerize this review in one word it would be dreadful, and believe me that’s polite for 2 terrible meals. Needless to say this is our last meal from this establishment,we are sure others within Scarborough can do much better.

Our order took over an hour to arrive and was not enabled. Garlic bread was hard and cold. Chips were not cooked and cold burgers were cold

Came down on hoilday from scotland. Best kebab meat I've ever tasted. Had my first ever promo and it was yummy. Defo recommend this place for food. Very clean aswell

We were in Scarborough for day from Newcastle and stumbled across this little gem. Not going to lie waited for at least half and hour but Saturday night what do you expect. Let me tell you though that wait was absolutely 100 per cent worth every minute. We got back along coast in our camper van and sat enjoying every single mouth full of our mixed kebab. Meat cut and cooked to perfection garlic and chilli by far best weve ever had. Definitely be our new haunt when in Scarborough...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Just went in to pick up food and while I was waiting I saw a member of staff drop a pizza box on the floor with the inside flat on the floor, she flippantly dusted off the dirt from the floor and then proceeded to fold the box and put it on the pile to be used. Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. Won’t be going back there ever again, if basic hygiene can’t be followed who knows what’s in the food!

Order alot of food and spent alot of money! (which wasn't great but that's not what this is about) 2 of our meals missing and 3 sides, called the takeaway to get it sorted after paying over £90 to be told we are lying! We told them what we had ordered and it didn't match what they had down (because they didn't send it) but they continued to tell us we were lying! After a few phone calls back and fourth waiting to speak to the manager he started shouting down the phone and saying he didn't care about our food and being very rude when we had been very patient with them! The customer service here is absolutely disgusting! How they think that speaking to people the way they did is okay is beyond me! All of the staff there need training in customer service!

Rang and placed an order after about 10pm, boyfriend went to the gates as we was stayng in a secure park, sat and waited at 10.15! Called them they said another 20-40 minutes, missed the phone call due to no signal went back the gates for the time said, delivery man said no worries he'd pop back, the manager then took the phone, said no food, wasted their money and then called my boyfriend a c*** numerous times down the phone!!! Apologies 100% to the delivery person to have to listen to his manager and I hope you find a new employer that knows hows to speak more politely!!!

Got a meat feast and chips, pizza was nice and chips were salted which is nice to have. Just wasn't sure on the pizza base but as far as standards go in Scarborough it was nice

The server was touching my food with his hands (no gloves or tongs) right in front of me. I also noticed while waiting for my food to he was touching a lot of other things and rubbing his hands on the counter and through his hair when I confronted him the other guy came out and blatantly lies about even though he wasn't there and then says he wouldn't give me a refund because I apparently didn't pay (so if I didn't pay why are you preparing my order then???) They clearly don't care about passing COVID etc have a blatant disregard of food hygiene and this isn't the first time something likethis has happened I've seen a server with cuts on his hand no blue plaster touching food they sweep the floor with a brush then use that brush to sweep the tables this place is a appalling and I'll be sending footage of this to the FSA

We ordered a takeaway from here, appaling food, cold , rubbery and tastless. Owners not very interested when phoned up with feedback. £36 what a disappointing so called treat for our kids. Won't be wasting my money here again or recommending this business.

Absolutely disgusting treatment from the staff!! The food was fine apart from missing chips, which we called up about, they called us liars and hung up on us. So rude, definitely won’t be going to them again, and will be advising other people not to as well.

Absolutely shocking 2 and a half hours for food to be delivered which pizza was just warm and the chips where disgusting. 3 times we rang to ask when it would be delivered feeble excuse was give each time. Would deffo not use again

The food was over priced and the quality was very poor, the pita was like cardboard, the lamb was out of date and overcooked , the chips taste like they were made a week ago and overall it’s not worth it’s price, never going there again 👎

Every time I have ordered from this place, there has always been something wrong. One time the food was delivered messy, sauces dripped and leaked everywhere. Another time the driver was rude to us because the door bell didn't work, we didn't realise it stopped working. This time, I pre-ordered food at 5pm to be delivered around 6:55pm and it comes at 5:30pm. Called Kebabland to tell them (I know there's not much they could do at this point) and all I got was "sorry we're busy and didn't check the time". I made it clear also I won't be ordering from them again, not had a single good experience, and complaining doesn't seem to change anything or at least see an improvement. The only reason you didn't get a 1 star is because the food is nice but service is rubbish.

I will never order anything from this establishment again it was absolutely disgusting how they are still running as a. Business is beyond me keep well clear discussing 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

Decent pizzas with quick efficient service

This has got to Scarborough's most premier take away serving delicious hot fast and Fresh pizzas burgers and kebabs. So delicious and reasonably priced. And not to mention super delivery service with speedy Joe. Thanks hiko and the team. Keep up the great take away service you offer 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Clean and good variety, I do prefer more seasoning on my pizza tomato base (like garlic I chilli) just my preference, the dough base was well cooked .

Had a mixed chicken and dona kebab, asked for lots of chillie and garlic was not disapointed apart from dona meat was not very warm but I would go again and you can pay by card

Never had a bad meal from this place. Staff are always friendly, food is always good, never have to wait long. Delivery is usually really quick.

Highly disappointed in Hikos. Placed our order for delivery and was told it would be here for 6.30pm. It turned up a little late which is no problem however my partners kebab was missing. Upon ringing to tell them, we again informed them of what he had ordered and was told it would be sent out. Another 40 minutes later it still hadn't arrived, so called again to be told it had been sent and would be here soon. When it arrived a further 10 minutes later, the ordered delivered wasn't what my partner had ordered however with nearly 2 hours since ordering we were both beyond been amused. Wojt be ordering again unfortunately which us disappointing as my partner spoke highly of the place.

I ordered direct from their website and they charged £1 service fee!!! I called and asked why and they said its to pay for their website!!! lost a few orders there pal......

I asked what kabab I should try as a kabab Virgin. I was told the chicken kabab has good reviews. I ordered a garlic cheese burger as well. It came within 25 mins the food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The garlic cheese burger was amazing the best IV had in 10 years. If I was served this food in a posh restaurant I would leave a tip. The kabab geat. Will definitely order again.

Delicious and freshly prepared food.The vegetarian calzone was very tasty ,so was the crunchy mediterranen salad.The donner meat was thinly sliced and my husband loved it!Great value for money!Delivery was bang on time as well!

I ordered a pizza at 2205hrs on Friday 25th September. I was informed that due to the governments legislation that I couldn’t collect but could pay at the takeaway. I walked in and was shouted at for being in. I informed them of my order and they said I should pay on delivery. An hour later it arrived, piping hot but rather bland and generic. £11.50 for an ok 12 inch. Nothing to write home about.

I would start by saying that I have had no issues with this shop over the six months or so. But tonight after placing my order and been told that it would be an hour, and having then waited an hour and twenty minutes I was rung by the manager shouting at me saying that his driver had tried to deliver to my address and rang me five times, and I hadnt answered my phone. I had recieived no such phone call which I tried to explain, he became more irate so I cancelled my order at that point. Less than five minutes later he had the girl who had taken my order from me iniatialy ring me and apolagise on his behalf saying they had made a mistake, and it wasnt me they had been trying too ring. I will never ring this Kebab shop again. I would suggest that the manager gets his facts right firstly or better still go on a customer relations course. Not Happy. Lee. Moseley.

On holiday in Scarborough and had a Kebab from Hikos the food was lovely we have come back again for the second time in 3 days. The donner meat is thinly sliced and juicy and very tasty the garlic yoghurt was really nice. Have some great meal deals as well. Would definitely recommend

Just ordered take out, got, they got order wrong, it wasn't difficult, absolute disgrace,such a shame as we have visited often with no problems, will not be visiting again,!!!!!!!!!

Driver called my phone and I missed it. Went down as soon as I saw it (4mins after the call) and the driver had a good go at me for it. Very rude. Won't be going back

Honestly, the best takeaway kebab I've had in this town. The meat wasnt dried out at all and the Chilli sauce - wow, loads of flavour with a kick to it. Also had a garlic bread with cheese that was really good too; a decent amount of cheese on it and cooked well. Will certainly be orderedinf from here again! 5* - and I don't give these often at all!

Probably the best kebabs and pizza in Scarborough been using this place for 20 odd years love the food .

Best kebab shop in Scarborough. Friendly service. Everything well cooked and prepared to order. Very generous portions too. So you'd better be hungry when you go there! Very good quality ingredients. Everything very fresh and the chilli sauce has a bit of heat but not too much. Also the kebabs come with a really nice yogurt dressing. What's not to like?

I ordered a half and half pizza with a chips which came to £11, the food came on time looking ok, I've started eating 1 piece to then find a fly stuck in the sticky bbq sauce next to the crust.. When I rung up to ask for my money back all I got was bad attitude off the owner telling me he would only make a new one and wouldn't refund my money as a piece had been eaten.. I wasn't going to eat from there after finding the fly in the pizza so I left it. I got told I put the fly into my own pizza too? So I wouldn't advise ordering or eating from here as he said 'everyone' asks for their money back so can't be a good place to eat at all.

Me and my partner each ordered a doner kebab, it took about 15mins to arrive and was barely warm! So was slightly put off with how fast it arrived! it tasted fine but didn't settle well at all, we both felt sick all the next day and I was sick! Wont be ordering from here again!

Have been calling here annually on last night of our holiday for passed several years. Not sure how many times it's changed hands if any but always does a good pizza to take down onto sea front to eat in car.

Possibly the best kebab I've ever had. Fresh salad, chicken shish cooked to perfection and you could see it had been genuinely marinated. Put the takeaways in my area to shame! I like how you are given a pot of both chilli sauce and garlic mayo so you can put the amount you would like on yourself. Staff were friendly and polite. Couldn't believe that 2 kebabs, chips and 2 drinks only cost £14 :)

It's been a number of years since we've been here. And based on today's visit, it'll be a number more before I return. Two bacon cheeseburger and chips. The cups were undercooked, even though they tasted like they'd been reheated. So I tried the bacon cheeseburger. The bacon was undercooked too, which completely ruined the burger. In fact it was that bad, it made the chips more palatable!

Omg absolutely disgusting service and attitudes of the staff. I sent my 12yr old in to order me a kebab no I’m not drunk I just like them every now and again lol , I hAd to take my kebab back once it arrived, as it looked like it had been half eaten with garlic etc on it, tiny bit of meat and looked like someone had left it half eaten, their attitude was disgusting, they where shouting at me and all of them crowded round me to intimidate me, this is actually the second time I have gone back as again, when my son went in last year they shortchanged him by £6.00. Maybe they are used to serving people who have had a drink, and don’t know what’s happened, but I’m a working professional and it was 6.00pm at night. So either don’t sent anything Back in the fear of being shouted at, or don’t send a teenager in coz they think they can rip you off. I have used this takeaway more or less every week and if this is how they treat loyal customers then never again ..... 😡😡😡😡 I’m soooo furious at this I feel like make an official complaint to someone

I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza it was supposed to have peppers,onions,chicken BBQ sauce and bacon on it but I asked them to take the bacon off and put sweet corn on instead . When the pizza arrived it was a chicken tikka pizza with just spicy chicken and sweet corn on it. And it didn't even taste very nice,most of it was burnt on the edges!

Just ordered a large kebab, meat was all dried up and curled, definitely not worth £8 for quality or quantity, salad was ok, but that's not really why you order a kebab, is it.

We arrived in Scarborough late on Friday for the weekend from Kent and was very hungry so we thought that it would be nice to have a kebab. So glad that we brought from hikos as it was the best chicken shish kebab we had tasted for a long time. Well done to you.

Very friendly staff who even offer customers a lift home in the rain!! The burgers are well cooked and the food is prepared in front of you so you can see how hygienic staff are, staff always make an effort to talk to you. Great place

We made our very 1st order tonight and ive got to say it will be the last.... Firstly my donner wrap wasnt wrapped and it was stuck to the paper it was wrapped in. Secondly the oinion rings were burnt and thirdly the boxes of chips really couldnt get any smaller and we waited just over an hour for our order to be delivered... Not the best of service if you ask me....
