Great food, lovely atmosphere & cracking staff.

We booked as a group of four for Sunday lunch. The tills were busy so we ordered on the app. The speed of service for lunch was very slow but eventually we got our drinks and went to the bravery for lunch. The main meal was good, thanks. We then decided to order desserts and another drink from the app. We ordered at 14:05 at 14:15 we got the drinks, at 14:55 we still hadn’t received the desserts, we asked two separate waitresses where the desserts were during the wait and they didn’t come back to us to update on the order. 2 other tables received their desserts in that time who ordered after us. At 15:00 we approached the supervisor, asked finally where our desserts were and she shrugged us off so we asked for a refund and left. Unfortunately I will not be recommending this pub to anyone and will probably never go again. Terrible staff, no customer service or any idea that you should go back to the customer to update them on the order. We sat there for an hour waiting and no one even asked if we were ok or give us any information why the desserts were so long. Whilst we waited 3 of the kitchen staff were hanging around out of the kitchen talking to a lady with a baby and playing with the child instead of working.

Breakfast was the best ever I have had out and Not bad for the price All. You can eat and the staff are lovley

Tried here for the all you can eat breakfast as the wife is pregnant and was craving breakfast but wasn't sure what she was craving so we figured an all you can eat would be the best bet. Unfortunately, although you can pile your plate as with most carvery places, this seemed like a breakfast carvery. Visit once (with a ticket to get your plate) get what you want and job done. This meant the craving couldn't be satisfied sufficiently lol. The other problem was this is that they had toast available, and some waffles (cut into pieces) with syrup available, but who wants this at the side of their beans and tomatoes? I've just realised that, neither me or the wife asked if you could revisit the food counter so maybe we missed something? But again, waffle on bean and tomatoes juice? As for the food, the quality was okay for a £6 breakfast to be honest, I've been charged more for much worse. The lack of a star for the food is that the selection wasn't fantastic (no scrambled egg for example, mushroom was a paid extra) and the cooking quality wasn't the best (although this is personal preference I guess) but bacon with what seriously seemed like uncooked fat, black pudding that resembled a hockey puck. Don't get me wrong, for the price for the breakfast, £6... There isn't much to complain about and it's good value for money. However, with a cup of tea and 2 Pepsi the bill was £22.... So an additional £10 for drinks. A £22 breakfast it was not unfortunately. Service was, sit at a table, order at the bar (or app) but any interaction with the front of house (Ashlee) was pleasant and no faults there to be honest. It's a very strong 4/5 for us, just missing out on a 5 because of the drinks costing as much as the breakfast and the slight gripes with the food.

Ashlee was a great host and was happy and responsive to any request we might have had.

Staff are always friendly and welcoming , food is excellent value for money , live locally and often return weekly for various meals.

As always great value for money. Food hot and a plate full now I’m stuffed. Good service from Ashlee. I accidently spilt a load of milk and she cleaned it up with a smile on her face and no quibble.

Fantastic Experience at Fuzzy Ed's Soft Play! We had an amazing time at Fuzzy Ed's! The place is spotless, which is always a top priority for us when choosing a play area for our kids. The staff here are outstanding—always helpful, friendly, and wearing a smile. The play attractions are varied and entertaining, keeping the little ones busy for hours. There's something for every age, and everything is well-maintained. The food options are also great, with delicious and healthy choices available. We recently hosted a birthday party here, and it couldn't have been easier. The process was smooth, stress-free, and very affordable. The kids had a blast, and the parents were equally impressed. Highly recommend Fuzzy Ed's for a fun day out or a special event. We'll definitely be coming back!

Waited an hour for food despite it not being busy, refused to make a fried egg for my veggie daughter (not that hard for any establishment to be a little bit accommodating) who ended up with about 10 chips for £3.

Food was really nice the staff are really polite and helpful and Fuzzy eds fun house is good for burning the kids out.

I didn't know it was possible to dry out a burger as much as what I had served here. It was inedible and when I complained all I received was 'alright' and walked off. So had a few of the frozen chips that was left. So if you like a burger that you can eat with your own teeth and not a circular saw, that doesn't resemble as a piece of plywood try another place 👍

Been to the great Fuzzy Ed’s party with kids and big thanks to Ellie for the service and helping with anything needed. Had carvery whilst on as we could order into the play area and it was lovely and at a reasonable price too. Highly recommend!

Edit: Attitude on some ginger woman with specs that worked there was absolutely disgusting won't be coming back maybe not a ginger but looked it in the light was definitely a team leader or manager as she had a radio and seemed in charge of the young lass that worked there as well gave me attitude as I tried to walk into the kids play area the young lass was fine just the disgusting attitude on the other woman that worked there that was bang out

Beth is a really lovely member of staff. Always greets you with a smile, friendly, polite and welcoming….also makes good cocktails and recommendations for cocktails and drinks.

Excellent village pub for a nice lunch. Great atmosphere, great food and drink, great service, very nice bathrooms, absolutely nothing to find fault with!

Everytime we come and Ellie is working it’s a very welcoming environment to be in. She greets us and the children and interacts with the children throughout the play. She’s have attentive and always looks happy and smiley. Lovely girl.

Well where to start.. Firstly let me say I'm not a complained but today was a joke.. I was met by the duty manager and taken to a table.. At no point did he ask or advise about excessive delays in serving food... If he had.. No problem I would have ordered then... So after 30 minutes I order food to be told there is a 45 minute wait.. The staff member shouted to the manager and asked how long s the wait.... He said 30 minutes.. So OK I ordered and waited.. 30 minutes late we chased the food... To be told it's another 20 minutes plus...when it turned up it was dry and partially wrong..... When I talked to the manager.. He said... Yes I told everyone.. It's 45 minutes for food.... Apart from you..sorry. When the staff member asked him how long was the wait.. His kitchen staff said 45 minutes.. He lied and said 30 minutes.. Also he has been getting staff to keep everyone upto speed with the delays....he admitted apart from us... Then to find out the bar staff had put the order through incorrectly... Shocking service in every aspect.

Maybe as it was getting later into evening there was not as many about but carvery was inexpensive and well worth the money.

Ellie in the kids are was brill, really nice place to take the kids for soft play. The all you can eat brekky is incredible value for the money.

Visited on 13/06/2024 Spent an hour at Fuzzy Eds and meal in the restaurant. Ashlee in Fuzzy Eds was amazing with everyone and the kids. Very attentive and pleasant. Restaurant staff welcoming Only thing I think needs altering ice cream station. My kids loved the do it yourself before. If it can't be like that don't have the machiene out at all. I appreciate cleaning it up constantly may be a pain but a let down for my boy who now only wants to go to Pizza hut for the ice cream station

Staff was ace mate no complaints at all to them but second time we've been and disappointed by the food. we got burgers they just tasted like frozen pucks that was over cooked. You could tell the chicken was as it was rubbery and stuck to your teeth when chewing and it was basically the same with the pizzas. Getting hammered by flies the whole time didn't help as they kept landing on my son's food

Visited the Fuzzy Edd's next door and had a meal after at Stonehouse. Food was ok (average), staff was very helpful and kind. Nice atmosphere

After frequenting this pub for several months for family meals, the food or more to the point the turkey has been served dried out and cracked, ruining three meals. On entering today there was a third of the turkey left and it was so dry and cracked the meat was curling away from the bone. Inedible. Brought to managments attention and was told they would be serving the rest of the turkey as it was. So left. Manager behind the bar with short hair agreed with manager. All about money and standards have gone. Disappointed.

Went for the breakfast at the highwayman and I was served by a very unfriendly tall gentleman who was the chef.he was huffing and puffing and getting grumpy about the serving utensils going back in the bowls.slamming them down.he needs to chill out abit.fod was solo as not much left in the bowls.rest of staff were great

Went yesterday for breakfast 12/5/24 young lady who served us was wonderful but the big chef serving buffet breakfast was so rude slamming banging and his total attitude was terrible ..not sure if he was having a bad day but wow not good experience at all slamming tongs down when people returned them to the dishes bacon anemic and potatoes in breakfast had spicy meat in them not good for veggie without a sign ...toilets filthy all marked if you know what im.saying ..place is going down hill as used to visit frequently but the big chef put us off yesterday ..the place needs a thourough clean was dirty and smelt like old folks home ....sort the grumpy chef out i heard a few people say the same snatching tickets its not on ....

The roast dinner was lovely, but I found staff had zero enthusiasm, obviously tired. We called in around 730pm and they had about as much energy as snail, considering this was a Saturday evening one would of thought the staff would of been on the ball - but no, not very helpful, not the cheapest either. The only guy who smiled was the guy cutting the meat, although I did ask for a non fatty bit (as I could see a lump of blubbering fat) telling him “this is for a young child”, to which he looked at me in disbelief. I was told “nope i can’t do that!” (Which he could of trimmed off the offending fat- but that was above his pay grade) But he did it with a smile and a chuckle! (Not much gets on my nerves- but the next bloke / kid behind the bar did) So little one had a free ice cream on the Calvary deal , from the diy ice cream machine - which was lovely, after I snuck a quick taste I was sold So I requested the chocolate cake with ice cream- I was told this was impossible!!! (Time travel / dfs sofa Sal ending is impossible) Surly not I replied - he said it would cost 50p to remove the whipped cream option and replace with ice cream - after much thought on how much of an impact that would effect me financially I agreed to the up grade with enthusiastically, t which I said the ice cream is what sold me in the first place! He then informed me that it wouldn’t be the “free ice cream that the kids got” it would be the soft scoop from the freezer! Again I requested if there was the option to upgrade (ok now I was beginning to be sarcastic) but I was again told this was an impossible request to meet. I tried one last time “can we make an exception just this once”. The answer was a Big No - if we do this everyone would do it!! (There was about 3 people in the whole place) I honestly thought the guy was joking- but confirmed by his supervisor/ colleague who was polishing glasses behind him. I was a bit shocked at the lack of trying to please a paying customer, and also the tone of voice! So if the owners of this place or even the managers of this outfit read this, your staff could do with some brushing up on customer service skills and to the staff - your job role is predominately to please your customers and ensure they have a wonderful experience in your establishment, master this and your get a lot further in life than the highwayman.

My child had a birthday party here and this was absolutely amazing! The party host made my little girl feel like she was the most important person there and gave her important jobs and made everyone laugh, all the children to join in and even encouraged the parents to join in too! The party host took care of everything and I could just sit back and let them take over, couldn’t thank them enough for giving my daughter the party she deserved and was an absolute bargain for the price of party we paid for. Would 100% book again!
