Hideout Cafe in Newark and Sherwood

A superb jewel in Newark, amazing food and wine. Food can be seen being prepared, lovely ambience, great selection of wines too. Super service, would definitely recommend.

This was a wonderful find and I have been back on a number of occasions. The food is amazing and the staff and atmosphere is brilliant. The sad note to this is that it is closing soon and we will be missing yet another excellent pub due to lack of custom. I’ll be very sad to see the end of yet another amazing establishment.

Proper jackets, nice staff, great portions - perfect. We used to get jackets from this place around 30 years ago, and they’re still as good as I remember them! 🥔🧀

Lovely place, seriously amazing breakfast. Bedroom clean and cute with nice little bits of ephemera, bathroom sparkling, lots of nice little touches, comfy bar, family run, dog friendly, and I need to say it again - best breakfast ever. Thanks all, my wife and I will be back.

Lovely hot, fresh home made steak and kidney pie with generous veg. Lovely big salmon fillet with plenty of veg and parsley sauce. Service quick and friendly. Cosy setting and 60 s music in background brought back memories of Mum and Dad. X
