Herne Bay Cafe in Canterbury

Visited for lunch. Nice cafe menu very typical cafe fare. Had the chefs special, well cooked and presented only down side was the poor quality sausage, other elements nice Clean single toilet Friendly engaged staff

This cafe did me a great kindness when I found myself in a tricky position. And the food was wonderful. I will pop down again when I fancy a piggy brunch. Super fresh batch of fries, generous beans portion, piping hot, and veggie burger with actual vegetables. Top stars all round.

Sea front was really busy so popped "inland". Spotted the cafe and what a gem! Food fantastic, service fantastic definitely value for money and everyone really friendly! Glad we found it and will be back!

Fantastic food we all had big breakfast today and we all loved it sitting outside the only thing i just wish we got bread butter aswell with our breakfast to finish off breakfast. But 10 out of 10 were be back

We went in this little cafe to get out of the rain the staff were so nice to us and really friendly, we only had hot drinks which were fine but the food coming out looked really good.

My wife and I called in today for lunch. The second you walk through the door you get a cheery greeting and offered tea or coffee. The place was clean and the atmosphere friendly. I had a bacon and sausage baguette, which was excellent and the baguette itself, lovely, which is often not the case. My wife had a tuna jacket potato with heaps of salad, which she loved. All this and 2 teas for a tenner. Recommended and we will be back. Thanks a lot.

We often call-in here for brunch or lunch or sometimes a panini or sandwich . Micheal and Maia are lovey and very friendly. The food is always good and plentiful. I would definitely recommend the food and I love the coffee.

Great baguette. Added cheese with a smile. Very well cooked. And a thoroughly pleasant team. Will be back for sure.

Came here by chance with my partner while waiting for an MOT to be done. Was surprised and very pleased to find that dogs were allowed in. The staff were very friendly and the food was reasonably priced. The breakfast was probably one of the best I’ve ever had, cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning in the very near future.

We were a bit surprised when a friend suggested this place for breakfast, but what a pleasant surprise! Bacon was thick cut and tasty , chips were hot and the whole thing wasn’t dripping in grease although it was a fry up. Excellent value, will be back

This is the second time we tried this cafe the first time we asked for Liver that was on the menu and they had none so we picked two more items off the menu neither were available so we left Went in there again this morning picked out a breakfast and asked for a poached egg rather than fried and was told very rudely NO although Poached eggs on toast are also on the menu So a probably a good cafe if you only want Tea or Coffee

This café is busy at any time of day, which reflects how popular it is. Food is cheap and cheerful but great value for money. The menu is extensive and varied, ranging from all day breakfasts to omelettes to jacket potatoes to shepherds pie. The venue is basic but warm, very clean and tidy. Service is welcoming, friendly and attentive. A little gem that is well worth a visit.

We have enjoyed many meals in this cafe and it’s always freshly cooked for us. Great service with a friendly smile. Recommended

They serve a full breakfast with a tea or coffee included for £5, great food and great service. It’s also in a good location so easy to get too.

I'm sorry to say - poor service and poor food- fish way overcooked and mushy and the chips were poor- certainly not fresh - yesterdays warmed up , perhaps. Having taken diabetic medicine my wife needed to eat so we ploughed on.. Told manager and chef - they were both indifferent - who said he thought there was something wrong with the batter mix. Food just lazy/ slow coming - and it was not busy.

I have never seen such a pool of Gravy obviously to try and warm up the very cold vegetables the Yorkshire pudding was filled up and soggy the roast potatoes where cold and soggy was it worth the 30 min wait no way will I return definitely NOT

This is my local Café, I live 50yds away and visit quite regularly. The prices are going up to pay for the building works in my opinion and now two rashers of bacon in a sandwich, Come on guys don't let this place go down hill..

I have visited this cafe on many occasions for breakfast lunch and even a Sunday roast. The food is great, the staff are helpful and friendly and I totally recommend it

This is by far my favourite cafe in Herne Bay. The staff are friendly, prices are more than reasonable and the feel of the place is warm and inviting. Have had many a good meal here and portion sizes are plentiful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! :)

Called in for lunch. Had a lovely cheese omelette with salad. Good price and efficient friendly staff. Only little niggle, would have liked more variety with the salad, was just lettuce, tomato and cucumber with a bit of grated carrot.

A fake review. This is a brilliant, clean cafe serving freshly cooked hot food by the friendly owner. Try the place!

a friend and I pop in here on a Friday on our way to work to celebrate the end of the week, for tea and toast. we are always acknowledge with a good morning and the question of "the usual". On the odd occasion we pop in on a week day and if they don't have skimmed milk he will quickly pop over the road to coop to pick it up and apologise for keeping us waiting (which he never does). My husband likes to visit on the odd occasion for a fry up on a sunday. The menu is vast and always cooked well and he always accommodates any special requests you may have. It is clean, tidy and very well priced. lovely little café that suits all

This is an unpretentious local cafe, which serves a good range of meals at very reasonable prices in clean and pleasant surroundings. The outlook on a main road is not the most enticing, but a warm welcome and attentive service more than made up for this. We went for breakfast, for which there is an excellent choice of options, accompanied by good coffee. Don't expect wi-fi - a blackboard warns "No wi-fi - talk to each other, or phone your mother" - but anyone wanting good food at low prices will be happy!

Small and compact Restaurant, but the food is always great value. All day breakfasts and many other value meals. Quality drinks at good prices.

Love this cafe been a few times my fav staff are lovely and friendly and they always do the best to serve you quick service is good and good hot and good portions and very reasonably priced I take my 3 year old son in with me they always make a fuss of him great little cafe run well

They are offering amazing Roast Dinners for Takeaway at £6 they are fantastic We have had roast beef and pork on seperate occasions both have been delicious

Great little cafe with friendly and helpful staff! Cannot fault them. I pop in here for a coffee while at work. And sometimes I treat myself to a bacon roll!! This is what sea Street needed not just charity shops

Long ride with SFACC . from Pluckley to Herne Bay - stopped here for lunch . we moved the tables outside assisted by the staff. We took over the place but staff were not fazed and were very welcoming. Not sure they have had so many cyclists all turn up at once ! spectacle for the locals ! prompt service .excellent food. Really impressed. and very good value.

Good choice of different breakfasts. Cooked nice and good bacon. One thing we didn't like was when the waitress came to get our order she was carrying her baby on her hip and order pad in the other. Food was enjoyably.

Thought the wife and I would try the new cafe as it looked promising from the menu, and it was good to support a new local business. Have to say, we're so glad we did. Been in for breakfast on several occasions and been very pleased each time. Helpful and friendly staff and all meals cooked fresh for each order. Good generous servings all well cooked and great value. The tea is a little on the weak side for me but still perfectly acceptable. Anyone looking for a good meal and great value, this place is well worth a visit. Definitely going back soon

tried the cafe for the first time today,very clean very spacious,friendly staff and pleased to see for a new cafe very full.vast menu but all cooked to order.had a light lunch with a friend and we both enjoyed it,prices are extremely good we will return.

Popped in as wanted to try the newly opened Herne Bay Cafe in Sea Street. Nice and spacious, helpful waitress and tasty, cooked to order food. What more can you ask for?!? High chair and toys for my grand daughter to play with. Going back tomorrow for breakfast
