This was our chosen venue for lunch last Tuesday on a 38 mile cycle. Not been before but it was easy to find on a safe quiet cycle in and in lovely grounds. The cafe was very nice in what might have been the stables. Although we were a little earlier than expected for lunch we took a look inside and were immediately persuaded to have that early lunch. The wide range of savoury goods looked so good as did the cakes and tray bakes. We placed our order and took our seats in a very spacious indoor dining area. There was also lots of outdoor tables and seating. The eating area was clean and well looked after by a number of young adults. Staff were polite, friendly and provided an efficient service. When our food arrived we were not disappointed at all, it was fabulous. The dining area is dog friendly and absolutely not an issue but our visit was during half term and a party of extremely noisy babies and children did spoil our other wise great visit. Parents turning a deaf ear to the disruption. An obvious regular customer on the table next to us who clearly visited for coffee and a read did not stay……. This is absolutely not a reflection of the Heritage cafe or its staff we would highly recommend this place but would choose our visiting time better. We will most definitely be back (during term time 😬)

Really disappointing food. The pizza was pretty much inedible and looked like it came out of a packet from Iceland. The toasties were a poor approximation of a toastie and the vegetable chiabatta was a very strange concoction, mainly consisting of huge slabs of tomatoe. Taking your own picnic would be a much better option.

What a great cafe at Walton Gardens near Warrington. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The cafe was very busy...which is always a good sign...but food and drinks were delivered very quickly and efficiently with a smile. Staff were working extremely hard to keep things running smoothly. Best of all gluten free breakfast/lunch toastie was no problem at all...the young man heard what I was asking for and came over to the till to check and got on with making it straight away... absolutely brilliant service...the same guy was also delivering food and cleaning up. Top class. We went back after our walk for delicious gluten free cake and coffee.

Most of the food on offer was OK but as my partner is wheat intolerant we asked for GF options but the choice was very limited. What was delivered was truly awful. It consisted of two very thin pieces of bread with a minuscule amount of cheese and ham. A pice of GF cake was given as compensation but what we really wanted was a decent savoury GF offering.

Continual flow of people entering the cafe not wearing a mask. Waiting inside the cafe without masks for their takeout order or walking to the tables therefore putting customers in the cafe at risk. May I suggest that there is a sign placed at the door asking people entering to wear a mask to deter irresponsible visitors from entering without one.

I get people are crazy about dogs but when they are approximately six dogs puking on the floor, farting, fighting and constantly yapping it kinda puts me off my mocha.

Nice toasties, opted for tuna and cheese. Tastes good and food was relatively quick. Plenty of seating and naturally you have a large park if the weather is good 👍🏻 enjoy!

I found the food poor. Our toasties were hardly coloured. They had just been rushed. Not a difficult thing to do. Also bought crisps and drinks. The bill was quite high £22. Not good for poor quality and really tough if you are a family of four. Better quality and value please, otherwise we will bring a picnic next time

Despite the cold weather we decided to walk to Walton Gardens for some fresh air during lockdown. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Heritage Cafe open for a takeout cuppa. All the strict guidelines were in practice and the girls were friendly and helpful. It was a very welcome hot drink on a very cold day. Please support our local heroines and pop in

Called again today at our favourite coffee stop, The Heritage Café, after a walk around the beautiful Walton Gradens. What a friendly team the coffee shop staff are. We enjoyed a bowl of their home made soup, filling and warming on a cold day thoroughly recommend it, followed by coffee and cake what more could you wish for.

Stopped half way through dog walk to let my dog get a drink of water as I knew they used to have it here. Pleasantly surprised by the quality and range of food on offer . Lots of breakfast rolls and variety of sandwiches cake and drinks. Had a really good decaffeinated coffee with soy milk . It’s refurbished inside but sat outside in sun with lots of other dog owners. There was a friendly atmosphere . Staff were excellent got a sausage for the dog ! Will definitely go back .

Such a lovely cafe with a huge range of sandwiches, cakes and ice cream. The blueberry cake was delicious. Fab for children as well, there’s lots of tasty food for kids, pizza and fish finger sandwiches etc.Great location, especially when the artisan markets are on. It was lovely to have a coffee and a cake and then a wander through the markets. All the staff are so professional and lovely, even in really busy periods. They are a true credit to Walton Gardens.

Visited earlier today and was pleasantly surprised to find such a lovely cafe. Staff couldn’t do enough to accommodate our dietary requirements. Being dairy intolerant, this isn’t always the case!! All meals were tasty, freshly cooked and reasonably priced. I was particularly impressed with the dairy and gluten free cake range - best I’ve ever had and that includes visiting dairy free bakeries in New York. I’m surprised at the single negative review on here as we didn’t find this to be the case. Stef, in particular, takes a lot of pride in his work. Can’t wait to return!

This was a meeting for myself and a friend from school, 40 years ago. She lives in Leeds and was on her way to Liverpool for a family event and I live in Bolton. I booked online as The Plough is close to M62. We both received a lovely welcome. The menu is excellent with plenty of choice. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. The prices are competitive. I would highly recommend.

If you're looking for a good meal in a family friendly pub this place is perfect. Lot's of parking, good food, nice place. If you're on the M6 this is very easy to find and better than stopping at services.

Usually I enjoy a meal here but today I ordered garlic bread it was swimming in butter on the plate and the bread itself was soggy. They did replace it thankfully as I eat here quite a lot. Maybe the chef had an off day
