Scrambled eggs on sourdough toast, with baked beans - it was perfectly done and presented, tasty and satisfying. No complaints. My wife had poached eggs on brown toast, all good apart from the toast could have done with a little more butter on it. The staff who we met were very professional, efficient and friendly. We will return.

Disappointed with our cakes, everything said homemade but when we ordered our cakes one was still frozen so I'm questioning whether they are actually made on site? Also coffee was bitter so not a pleasant experience.

where do i start , it was most awful pathetic Sunday lunch I've ever been served lemon and thyme chicken / chicken was microwaved it was not edible couldn't cut it ,also one stem broccoli one pathetic carrot . now let's get to main point WHOLE DINNER APART FROM CHICKEN WAS STONE COLD roast potatoes plus one was burnt and Yorkshire pudding stone cold to an at an insulting £15.95 what for microwaved chicken was a liberty .please don't waste your money people food is cold and lacking basics IE no veg and was lacking any taste .I recommend to you to go to Whittington garden center where the food is plentiful and hot plus you get pudding with price £17.95 makes it surprisingly good value for money blue diamond got no food quality testing before put out food chef and server needs go back to collage learn who service and food should be sent to customers IE hot and not MICROWAVED .

We ordered two light breakfasts and two coffees. The coffees were served quickly and were fine. The breakfasts arrived soon afterwards, but were almost inedible. The plates were hardly warm as was all of the food. The bacon and sausage had not been cooked through and were still pink in colour. No care whatsoever was taken in the cooking of these meals. Hardly surprising that the restaurant was void of customers? All I can think is nobody seems to be bothered and there is little supervision. It’s a manager’s job to ensure that all employees receive proper training, ensuring that every dish coming out of the kitchen is of a reasonable standard. Also, reading the poor reviews is an obvious way to improve the standard. Its disappointing as the restaurant is a pleasant place to go.

We went for a afternoon tea for our anniversary and had the best tea we have ever had, the food was delicious and looked very good ,the staff were wonderful and very helpful ,we had a lovely time there ,we will do it again

This recently refurbished garden centre restaurant has sadly taken a turn for the worse. Four of us visited for breakfast last week and none of us were impressed by what was served-up. The black pudding was cremated, the bacon was like shoe leather, and the so-called "scrambled" eggs were just a fried egg that had been chopped up. Such a shame, but we certainly won't be back any time soon.

Restaurant is light and airy, staff polite. Unfortunately that is where the positive comments end. The food was very disappointing - quiche was overcooked and dry, the pork and honey sausage roll was very overcooked the pastry being burnt. We both had salad which was a tiny amount of lettuce 2 slices of cucumber and half a tomato costing an extra £3.45!! This was not a salad it was garnish. A further £3.45 each for a small portion of chips which tasted as though they had been reheated. Along with 2 very small cups of coffee the cost a total of £35.70. Poor quality overpriced food, we left feeling violated. An experience not to be repeated

Coffee and snack. service from start to finish excellent staff absolutely spot on. Cleanliness a credit to them. A good coffee.

Simple requirement a decent cream tea. Well it’s available here. Only minor point the scones were plain I prefer fruity ones. The scones had a buttery flavour and tasted great accompanied by tea just great. They have a lovely menu and offer a club sandwich mmmmmm my favourite will have to wait till our next visit. We will return

Called in for something to eat and was very disappointed. First order came out wrong so had to return it second order came out stone cold so that was returned as well. My friend had finished eating so could not wait for a replacement as we had to somewhere so I was left hungry. The first meal had things on it that were not mentioned on the menu. They really need to check their menus. The waitress stood there with her mouth open saying I only bring the meals out. And yes I know it wasent her fault. But when she said she would tell the chef I nearly burst out laughing as no chef prepared the awful food I had. Such a shame as I was really looking forward to it. Also the woman on the counter who seemed be in charge was very abrupt.

The restaurant reopened today.Very little has changed in the menu but the layout has altered.There was a member of staff greeting people and explaining how to order etc.The dog area is now at the far end adjacent to the fire exit.Seating has changed and all tables have numbers.The suggestion was get a table first then queue to order.We had coffee and cake which was lovely.They still do not accept the Blue Diamond loyalty card.There were lots of uniformed staff to cope with the influx of people.Toilets are still away from the restaurant and have been decorated but not updated.

The serving staff are lovely - the food extremely overpriced- a ham, over filled with spread, sandwich cut in two and less than a handful of greasy fatfilled chips were £12.00! The last time I visited they apologised for poor food and gave us scones to go home with! Will never eat more than a scone and hot drink there again, after going for 20 years.

Walking around the interesting displays, we realised the sheer hard work that had gone into making these mini wonderlands! The staff deserve a big thank you for the effort they've put in; friendly, polite & helpful, they clearly enjoy their roles.

Visited this morning for breakfast.There were only 4 other people there and one lady behind the counter.We ordered scrambled eggs on toast and smoked salmon for me and my wife who is coeliac had poached eggs on gluten free toast and overcooked bacon.Also pot of tea and a large americano coffee.We had the drinks immediately. 30 minutes later i prompted the same lady who was delivering food to people who had been behind us in the queue. Only to be told there was no smoked salmon and what would i have instead,i said bacon.We spotted same lady now talking to the manager who had appeared and in minutes the breakfasts arrived with the smoked salmon.The manager apologised for the wait and provided us with free replacement drinks.The food was very tasty and hot.The kitchen seems to be a bit haphazard in what they can supply and what they dont have.There was certainly a lack of staff there first thing in the morning.

Went here for lunch. It was very average for the cost of the food. The sald was just watercress nothing else and I don't like water cress. The omelette was under cooked and a bit slimy. And the chips were stone cold. I should have said something but that would have meant replacing the meal and the rest of the group would have finished their meals and I hate that. The cashier was lovely ad was the waitress. But the food just about adequate. Also a man walked behind the counter as I was waiting for my change, the lady was just about to give it me when he grabbed the fifty pence which was my change and said hang on I think this is a collectable one and made her give me a different one. Ummm really not the right attitude or behaviour from him not impressed.

we all had the ciabatta ham cheese and tomato with salad and crisps - we took the ham home for the dog as it was rubber and gristle, I know poor dog, and the salad consisted of lettuce that had seen better days and then there were loads of green peas, who puts green peas in a salad , no hot meals just baked potatoes, ciabattas or cake. Very disappointing, won’t be going again

Not having had eaten before here before , l took a friend for lunch . My friend had a Caesar Salad which was very good but l had The Fish & Chips . I can honestly say it was the most tasteless F&C l have ever had . The chips were crisp enough but were floury , the batter crisp too but tasteless and the fish again sort of wet and tasteless , top prices charged too . To charge £6.25 for a miniature bottle of Pinot Grigio is , l think, way over the top. Will not be going back . The restaurant itself is very attractive and well laid out

Unfortunately, having never been before, l approached the servery without a table number. I then suffered a tirade of criticism from a young man who spoke to me as if I were a child. The meal was OK but I will NEVER visit the establishment again.

Purchased 3 children's meals at £6.95 each 2 of them pizza which had minimal topping and were overcooked, no different to the small basic ones in the supermarket for 80p, they were difficult to cut because of being overcooked and came with a portion of chunky chips which the children found overpowering. The other children's meal was sausage chips and beans, for a 3 year old, the sausage was very chewy - my husband had the one he didn't want and said it wasn't pleasant and again the chunky wedge type chips. French fries or thin chips would be far more suitable for these young children. Drinks weren't included in these meals so another £1,75 for each of the small carton drinks. The adult meals were ok although £8.50 for coronation chicken sandwich, but it's unlikely we will eat here again as a family as definitely not value for money.

Decor & service was excellent; we were let down by quality of the meals. Sorry, but it all tasted quite cheap, sort of rushed. My salad was dry, no dressing; the tuna & cheese ciabatta was, well, dry & the cheese no taste at all! Interesting visit; the clothing, plants & garden ornaments depts were a plus, as were the plants section! We shall return!

Excellent food quality and choice. Staff were really helpful. Prompt service and calm atmosphere. Would definitely return again.

Mid week stop off for lunch. Had a cheese and ham, and bacon and brie pannini. Both were very nice, served with nice fresh salad and crisps. Very pleasant staff.

This has place is so hit and miss. I really need to stop coming but my disabled brother loves it. However, today even he left the beans. Definitely not Heinz but some sickly sweet variety. Eggs were rock hard, bacon tough and dry. Sausage was nice but toast was slightly burnt. The hollandaise is out of a jar and just yuck. Occasionally, you get a well cooked breakfast, but today, despite being quiet, it was shocking. It’s overpriced too. Today we also had the luxury of a chainsaw drowning out the music.

My friends and I ate lunch here, and I ordered the beef chilli jacket potato. When it came, I was shocked as there was literally a small spoonful of chilli. So I asked a member of staff that was near by, who was pleasant but told me that Blue Diamond control the portions and maybe it was because the potato was bigger than normal, and this was what made the chilli look smaller! 🤣 I tried not to laugh, because if the potato had been any smaller, it would have been a roastie! Considering this was a meal worth a tenner, it was just not good enough, and Blue Diamond need to look at their portion sizes for this meal. Very disappointing 😞

what a wonderful place and so helpful the staff were amazing lovely to see. We only had drinks and soup but we really enjoyed it. The staff really stand out though and I wish other places took note of the way customers are treated
