Recently refurbished with many improvements to interior bars, good service and a pub that supports and promotes local musicians providing good entertainment most nights and weekends. Publican Gary strict on good behaviour so a nice place to take family and friends to enjoy a friendly atmosphere.

Great staff, bland food. I ordered the festive burger and although it was packed and stacked with food, it was all very tasteless. Oddly only one strange of onion in the burger. My wife ordered the veggie burger, she said it was to moist and again completely tasteless. And again a single strand of onion! Is there an onion shortage that we didn’t know about? Overall nice location close to some nice walks, but we won’t be returning.

London RoadWe had a lovely waitress named Amy and she made our night absolutely lovely, she was so attentive and kind, she made our experience even better! The food was also absolutely amazing!

Church Langley WayPicked the cookhouse + pub as a pit stop during a long drive (France to Yorkshire) on 04.01.25 - Reasonably close to the M11 and had Tesco next door for fuel. Warm welcome on entrance and were advised immediately they were having some supply issues and the menu wasn’t fully available, still a variety to choose from. We were asked about allergies, I have recently discovered issues with gluten and whilst I can tolerate smaller amounts it’s easier to eat GF, I was given a printed allergen list to help me order. I asked if it was possible to amend another menu item and after a quick check with the kitchen it was agreed. Only 2 staff working the restaurant, it wasn’t busy but they were both working tirelessly. Food was served fresh and promptly and can’t fault the service at all. Will bear this place in mind for future was worth the short detour from the motorway to get a proper meal and not fast food from the services.
