Henry's Lakeland Diner in Allerdale

What a great find this diner is, full English breakfast for my partner, yummy waffles & pancakes for children. I had a smoothie which was amazing! Nice chilled atmosphere with good music. Staff were lovely and welcoming They also offer takeaway food & drinks aswell- fully recommended the jacket potatoes

This was the first cafe diner i saw when i arrived in Keswick so i called in for a breakfast. The food was well cooked and decent portions. The staff were freindly and efficient. A nice clean cafe with lots of options for meals.

Our party of 12 called in consisting of parents, grandparents and grandchildren. We were seated in adjacent tables and attended to by the two friendly female staff. Good selection of food at budget prices promptly served and gratefully received by us. Enjoyed by all, many thanks.

Went in for a cake and a coffee. Cake was mouldy and coffee was bitter and depressing, never again. Let alone hygiene standards in the cafe being literally non existent, stroking dogs then serving cakes without washing hands, smoking cigarettes and sitting outside. A joke for a place in a prime location which could benefit the community or maybe even provide a decent product.

Great atmosphere and music. Lovely staff. Phenomenal milk shakes and hot chocolate. I cannot wait to go back again and get one of the amazing looking waffles! A gem of a find.

We had a late brunch here after visiting some local museums in the area. It was fairly clean and decorated to a high standard. The food was decent quality, presented really well. Service and speed was really good but we were the only customers seated inside at the time. We would definitely visit here again.

Great Diner just off the main street. Excellent service and great coffee, nice and hot unlike the tepid brown stuff you get from one of those well known chain outlets. Also try the waffles for a bit of a treat 👍

This place looked interesting with 50’s style decor and rock and roll playing. We had a family lunch. The milkshakes were nice enough but over-priced at a fiver. The food was…..underwhelming really. The burger patty was ok, nit the best I’ve ever had but not the worst. The bread rolls for the burger had been frozen and defrosted so weren’t very nice. Fries were ok, a bit soggy. Over-priced by about a third for what we got. The pancake breakfast menu looked pretty good but doubt we will go again given our experience.

Food was nice and everything but 45min wait for a breakfast is ridiculous cup of tea has gone stone cold by then and staff don't even offer you courtesy refill

Me and my family member loved the look of the diner and instantly wanted to eat there. Unfortunately it wasn’t what we expected. There were dead flies on the windowsills, a dead fly in a vinegar bottle and the tables and chairs we sat on weren’t clean. It made us feel hesitant to eat the food we ordered because of the lack of cleanliness. The staff were friendly until we brought up the fly problem and it became quite awkward. I understand that sometimes cafes and restaurants don’t have enough staff when it gets too busy but the cleanliness of a place that serves food should be priority. I hope the staff are treated well as the staff morale was quite low. Won’t be eating here again :(

Had a all day breakfast,although the sausage was slightly over cooked the rest was lovely especially the hash browns cooked to perfection.The rest of the family enjoyed their meals and the staff were friendly and helpful nice clean place will be going back again to try out some of their outher food.

Nutella pancakes and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup were delicious, my grandchildren loved them. The service was fantastic, the girls were so polite and helpful.

Four adults plus a child ate here. All of our food was overcooked, cheap, disgusting crap. Oh, and the service was rubbish. All the staff did was clean the icecream machine on some kind of loud service setting. I would highly recommend you not to eat here.

Great family lunch at Henry’s Diner - stack of American pancakes with bacon and syrup, others had waffles with bacon, syrup and blueberries, all delicious and very generous with the bacon. Loved the interior, friendly and efficient staff, great visit.

Great (large) breakfasts. Excellent latte. Friendly staff. Nice and comfy seating. Highly Recommended.

We found Henrys clean and bright. Decor is interesting. I had the hallumi berger during our visits it was good and filling. My elderly parents enjoyed their visit and asked to go back when I visited keswick a second rime in the week. We found the food and coffee nice. I will be back.

Henry’s Diner was a fantastic find. The service was friendly, the restaurant itself was clean and felt very fresh after its repaint last winter and the food was LOVELY. My husband had the cooked breakfast which was cooked perfectly and far too much for him to eat really - although he did a great job finishing it off! I had the pancakes and bacon which was great too. By far the best thing was the chocolate milkshake! Deliciousness 🤩

I came in on my own for breakfast, the staff were so friendly and the pancakes were amazing. I will definitely be back to try more things.

we went some weeks after the opening to see what the fuss was about. staff didn't seem too keen to serve and just seemed miserable, it took some effort to grab someone's attention to place an order. i had a burger with way too many patties which is entirely my fault for picking it but the bun was toasted to hell and back and the meat similarly overcooked, dry and poor quality. all the patties seems to merge into one thick layer of wet dog food. overall poor food quality and even considering the quantity of food you're getting it still doesn't seem value for money. the interior and fittings were very clean, well-maintained and interesting, but it was still very new.

Called in briefly this morning for coffee and a quick bite to eat. As with previous visits the coffee was fabulous and so was the food. Very enjoyable with friendly, polite, professional staff. Will be back.

Saw this diner when parking up and came back to try it for lunch. Great selection, quality and taste. We had a variety from cooked breakfast to Hot dog and fries, and pancakes with berries and we all loved our food. Reasonably priced as well. Well worth a try

Called in for a coffee a few days ago, the diner is spotless, which is expected as it is new,. The coffee was the nicest we've had in keswick for a long time. The lady running the diner was polite, friendly and a pleasure to talk to. We'll be back.

We phoned and tried to book a table. We were told that we could not book.a table. We drove from Barrow in Fueness and had a family of 8 especially to try this diner. We arrive at lunch time and we're told soon we have...

We arrived Sunday lunch time only to be told there was NO food left. Not good enough. Unhappy kids as we had promised them a trip out all weekend.

Excellent food, great burgers and great service. Newly painted and really clean We will definitely be back for another visit
