Do not recommend. Me and my partner got a crab and prawn baguette and safe to say it was disgusting. The woman told us it was “fresh crab and fresh prawns” it was not it was seafood sticks blended with prawns. Asked for salad and got a tiny amount. Soft bendy baguette. Asked aswell if it was margarine or actual butter (we’re both chefs we can tell!!) and got told “no it’s butter” but it was, in fact, margarine. We scraped out the entire filling and ate just bread on the way home not even finishing it. £4.00 is ridiculous for a baguette that is just purely vile. Shame it’s been taken over by people who lie and clearly don’t care about their customers or food. Oh and all the staff were stood about on their phones🙄!!

Came across this little place by accident when visiting Carlisle. Best jacket potato I've had in years! Huge portion and reasonably priced. What a great find.

I don’t know if what i just consumed was food or actual acid, my stomach feels violated and i want to die the bread was stale and from the aldi savers section, the cheese was 1% cheese 99% plastic, and no wonder the whole of carlisle is obese the amount of grease that came off one baguette could’ve oiled an entire factory, pretty sure i saw a rat there call the health inspectors, and if i die from that i will be pressing charges from the grave. If i could give it -1 i would.

The sandwiches here are lovely and fresh with masses of filling. My favourite are the bacon and Brie with cranberry sauce and the tuna mayonnaise. There is always a choice of having salad in it at no extra cost.

We had a Cumberland sausage special which was only £3 each I think. They were delicious, served in warm fresh baked bread. It a small little shop but they deliver a gorgeous lunch so I would recommend if you’re in the area

I came here for a baguette for my lunch. The baguettes always seem to be freshly baked. I asked for a ham baguette with pickle. Pickle should be charged extra but as I wasn’t having any salad, they gave it me for free.

This place does fantastic filled baguettes. I ordered a ham baguette with no salad, but extra branston pickle. The pickle was supposed to be extra but she gave it to me for free as I wasn’t having salad.

I love the chicken tikka in a baguette on its own with no salad which is absolutely gorgeous. The chicken is lovely and there is plenty of sauce. The sausage rolls are really nice too. Haven't ordered anything else as I tend to always go for the same but the staff are friendly and welcoming.

I went in the afternoon, the car park was full, ( it is wheelchair friendly, when you find a space) Also the entrance is wheelchair accessible, BUT you need to negotiate two sets of doors before you actually get inside the dining room proper. Surprisingly on this occasion, though NOT on every occasion, the restaurant was half empty. This is probably because it was the middle of the week, but nothing is for certain. The menu i seen was not extensive, and prices were around the £17 mark. That said what I had was hot, with good portion size and extremely delicious. There is also a starter menu and a dessert menu also. I can't quote you on the price of the drinks, as it was my birthday and I wasn't buying. The toilets are clean.

Closing down soon. Unfortunately another country pub will close down on 30th June 2024. Staff were good and doing their best in the circumstances.
