Worst Fish and chips I ever had. I thought I would give it a try on the way home. I ordered Haddock and chips, I received two bits of small fish which was very nice of them. I couldn’t find the fish it was just two pieces of batter dripping in oil. The chips looked nice but had a very nasty taste and very dry. I’m sorry but I won’t be returning.

WORST chip shop I’ve had by far!! The food doesn’t taste right and is something very up with the oil being used!! Even my 7 year old daughter and dog turned their noise up and that’s saying something as they eat anything!! Avoid this place .

Just had a sit in fish and chip supper with my son After our day out watching ipswhich play Was a great way to Finnish Food was lovely and fresh and the young lady was very nice and hospitable We look forward to another supper soon after footy

Terrible, £20 for cod and chips twice. Chips were inedible, tasted of rancid oil and I think they were yesterday chips refried as they were rock hard and lots of scrappy bits. The fish itself was reasonable, just a shame it had been fried in the same rank tasting oil.

100% recommend Great Baddow Barn to everyone if you love a chill, friendly atmosphere. The staff here are all lovely and very helpful. I came for some lunch with some work friends and it was all amazing! I got the ham, cheese & egg melt which was worth it.

9 Moulsham StreetI haven't been to this eating place since before covid, thinking that the premises might have improved, we gave it a try. I wrote before that it was in need of a lot of refurbishment, the place now is disgusting. The food wasn't too bad, as I felt it was safe because the food is cooked minutes before it is served, so any bacteria should be killed. It was lunchtime and we were the only customers, word has got round, I think, that the place is now completely run down and very very shabby. Never, ever again, unless they completely renovate the place. Mirrors cracked, floor tiles cracked, dirty tables, bizarre very incompetent decor. Perfect place for a Halloween party. (Bring the sanitiser with you).

3-7 New London RoadGood food for the price. Around 10 pound for a meal including a drink is good value for your money. Food is very good, but it is a pub so also a lot of drink options. If you look for a more fancy meal this is not the place for you.
