If passing through or visiting Henley-in-Arden, do not neglect to visit the ice-cream shop; it offers a selection of flavours which is unparalleled, including some delicious sorbets. We were staying nearby for a few days, and purchased one-litre tubs for the freezer which proved excellent value. This is a family business which is flourishing, witness the number of people frequenting it, and one has to applaud this sort of enterprise. You will not be disappointed!

We popped to Henley to grab an ice cream for the perfect end to a perfect day. The shop itself is super hygienic and very cute. It has seats outside where you can sit and enjoy your delicious ice cream and look at the beautiful little cottages across the road. We were served by a young lad who was very sweet and polite, he assured us a number of times that we weren’t too late and stopping them from cleaning down for the evening. The ice cream (as expected) was wonderful and we will definitely come back again!

Popped in for a small snack (no ice cream) and was delighted with our sandwiches and jacket potatoes. Had a lovely pot of tea to wash it all down. Sat in the small room upstairs which was very period drama and a delight to have lunch in. Staff were very good (but they did forget my bottle of water). If we ever go to Henley in Arden again I will definitely go back for lunch.

No nice hello from the lady on the icecream counter ,just stared at us while we tried to decide which flavour. Could interact a tiny bit with customers, especially children and suggest tastes , even a cheery Good Morning would do and not an icy stare. Ice cream nice but wishy washy flavour ,not much flavour, my husband said the same. We went into the garden at the side to sit and eat it. Needs a good tidy up , old benches, old seats, bits of rubbish ,a historic mangle in bits and pieces with wood worm. If you are going to invite customers to stay and eat ,tidy it up and make it look inviting or get a review like this.We won't be back, there are friendlier icecream shops with much better icecream and with a much more cheerful setting.

Went here to get a nice ice cream on a warm day, they had a great selection of ice creams so plenty to choose from and it tasted nice. Service could have been much better, staff member behind counter was unfriendly and not welcoming, the price list was not clearly displayed so we were pressured into making our mind up quickly. Considering the price of the ice cream I wouldn’t rush back.

I’ve been coming here since I was a young boy and since becoming a parent, have been bringing my children too. After the appalling attitude I experience earlier, most disappointedly from the most senior member of staff on duty, I shall never be returning again. I am 100% behind getting behind local business during the pandemic, but when they look at their customers down their noses, with disgust as they believe ‘they are not following social distancing laws’ and then start moaning about customers to other customers, I can’t support you any longer. Completely unprofessional and as if you are doing us all a favour. Either put proper guidelines in place, like only allowing two customers in your shop at any one time, like most businesses or don’t moan about it!Most local businesses are grateful of the support ... you on the other hand felt like you were above serving us great unwashed. Never, ever again. And shame on you for setting such a poor example to your young staff!!!

Went today on a gorgeous sunny Sunday. Must have been at least 20 people in front queuing so we waited at least 20 minutes. But were so disappointed. All four of us had a small single cone, at £2.50 each, not a generous scoop either, and each ice cream lacked flavour and creaminess. My banana one was rather watery too. They must make a fortune - and good luck to them - but I would have expected a more luxury product to match the 'hype'. Wouldn't go again.

Firstly, the staff need to crack more of a smile. Bit moody and snobby for my liking. The food was just mediocre. Sausages not cooked properly. Just typical cafe sausages. Paste and cooked one side and one side still visible skin. May as well of boiled them! Expected plum tomatoes. Half a cooked tomato instead. Seriously who eats those except old people. Beans came in the most tiny little thing. Poured beans out and must've been 3 mouthfuls. Not good enough. Is there a shortage on beans I don't know about? Eggs were very nicely done! Bacon was good and the toast. It obviously made for the snobs in Henley but they have forgotten most of their customers are people driving through. If builders come in, offer them a big breaky. A mouse could eat more. Tea was cat wee and half a cup. My work mate wasn't happy with most of his. Can't talk for the ice cream. Plenty of reviews on that! Shame as I have heard lots a good things over the years and finally got to go to only be disappointed. My verdict is if you want some good food go to another cafe.

A great place on Henley High Street for an ice cream. We have been coming here for decades. There is a huge selection, some of them weird and wonderful - bright blue bubble gum for example. Italian gelato it is not; compared to the home made taste that I remember from childhood, the ice creams today are factory produced, and at £7.20 for two double scoops, not cheap.

We visit Henley-in-Arden regularly as there are some lovely pubs in the village, i've regularly driven past this place and not stopped because it's been absolutely heaving but it wasn't too busy when we drove past so we decided to stop. The queue wasn't massive but there was no order to the queue at all, the ice-cream cones (both normal and waffle) are absolutely tiny. We had three ice-creams all with two scoops, the guy who did the ice-creams could barely get two small scoops into the cones because they were so small (he even said it was his first day and he had broken quite a lot of cones already!). The total came to £13.50 for 3 ice-creams (no flakes, nothing special just two scoops of ice-cream) …. £4.50 for two small scoops of ice-cream!! The ice-cream was nice but nothing amazing, sadly I won't be returning as it is way overpriced.

This was the only place open on A Sunday morning that looked good for breakfast. Big mistake. Cash only signs everywhere should have warned us. The menu seemed quite promising. However, when the food arrived after a fairly long wait we were very disappointed. Very poorly cooked food and barely warm enough, but the worst thing was stingy portion size and very poor quality ingredients. The white bread was dry and seemed to be pumped full of fresh air. Fried egg tiny and really overcooked. Sausages skinny and tasteless. Scrambled egg tasted as it it was microwaved. Even the coffee was insipid.

Cold breakfast served finally after ordering 50 mins earlier. Been in an hour before food arrived. All cold. Vegetarian toastie was served as ham and cheese. Pre-cooked breakfast. Sent one back and complained about others. Owner came down and started by disputing the time we had waited. Great start to an apology. Claimed the plates were piping hot when they left the kitchen, I took the plates from the waitress and placed them on table. They had no heat at all. Then informed it was not wise to sit by the open door if we expected hot food. It’s 19 degrees outside. Informed the food couldn’t be cold as the sausages had been pre-cooked. Bacon was tougher than Sly Stallone in Rocky. Could not cut my fried egg it had been cooked that long ago and left to go cold. Ended up with me having to shout at owner to walk away before I said something I would regret to an older lady. Awful service, awful food and definitely not one to make a trip too. So many choices, always nice to pay a visit when the weather is nice! Friendly staff too! It's quite small inside so when it's busy you may not always get a table, no bother to us as we like to walk through Henley with our ice creams!

We visited on Easter Sunday for an ice cream, I had Easter surprise - chocolate with chopped up mini eggs, my husband had cherry flavour. We were pleasantly surprised that they were open. The ice cream was so nice we took a tub home and were advised by one of the waitresses to try the Ferraro Roche one (didn't know you could try before you buy) it was delicious!Afternoon tea, cakes, breakfast all looked really good too, and good value.

AS usual if there is a space to park I will. Stopped for ice cream for four - great flavours and not expensive. Thoroughly reccommend.

Popped by the Henley Parlour yesterday. A lovely sunny day there was a long queue out of the door. Ice cream and sorbet lovely as always but there are aspects that could make the experience so much better.1 - a tempting list of ice creams was on the blackboard as we walked in - however when we asked for 2 on the seasonals list : Liquorice/blackcurrant and Turkish delight - we were told they hadn't started yet so we delayed people while we made another choice. Why put flavours on the board you don't available?2 - payment. The shop only takes cash. 2x2scoop ice creams cost us nearly £9. Most people have notes and need a bit of change . As we walked in we heard the staff saying: we need change if you have it please. In these days of contactless payments, it would have been much quicker for all and less stressful for staff if we could pay by card.

My wife and I stopped off in Henley-in-Arden on our way to Stratford-upon-Avon. I have personally travelled through HIA many times over the years on route to other destinations and finally had time to stop and have a look around. We had a lovely stroll along the High Street through HIA and thoroughly enjoyed viewing the wide range of individual houses, cottages and buildings. It is particularly impressive how they have managed to incorporate modern retail outlets within the existing building infrastructure of the High Street. There is a wide range of businesses and shops on the High Street and we particularly enjoyed our visit to Henley Ice Cream where we bought two very tasty ice creams and sat outside watching the rest of the world go by for 15 minutes.HIA is a really atmospheric place and you could well imagine the days when stage coaches used to travel up the High Street and stop at the many and various coaching inns along the way. The busy traffic down the High Street does tend to spoil the overall effect, but nonetheless, this is a great place to visit and Henley Ice Cream a definite must on a sunny day.

This shop obviously sells ice cream and has tables inside and out to enjoy the variety of flavours on offer. It also has snacks, tea and coffee so has an all round appeal. In summer there may be queues on sunny weekends especially.
