I love popping into Esquires on a work break or after a train journey. It’s really handy, the coffee is lovely and the atmosphere relaxed. I wanted to thank Amber in particular for her care and attention on my last visit. She went above & beyond good customer service. 👍🏻

If you want to see how NOT to run a coffee bar, this is a must for you. Visited on 01/09/24 to get a cheese and ham roll (£7:15, I jest not). Was greeted with a queue that seemed to not move. The staff clearly needed some leadership, and I personally witnessed one young female member of staff crying as a result of how the owner spoke to her. This would be the same scowling owner who watched over the shambolic service. Suffice to say I won't be visiting again, and I politely suggest you don't bother either. As for the young lady who was upset, she was the politest of the lot in there. They don't deserve her.

Quite classy, a little above most chain coffee houses

Popped in before my train to grab a sandwich, served by a girl with brown hair not very friendly. All staff cared more about talking amongst each other and with another blonde lady, felt like i was disturbing them when I was paying for sandwich. Horrible looks by staff Very unprofessional would never go back.

Great service, couldn’t do enough to help with charging a phone that had died despite being just about to close!

Despite being just about to close the staff were so obliging that they stayed on to help get a phone (with our train tickets on it) charged up. Certainly was “the extra mile”!

Clean efficient and good service. Good location for trains or doctors surgeries.

Consistently closes before advertised closing time. I arrived at 16:40 on a Weds however it was shut. Not the first time this has happened.

£2.80 for can of coke is a scandal and a disgrace that can cost most places between 75p toward £1

Very convenient to have a coffee shop just outside a station. No need to sit in the cold (or heat) waiting for your train. Pop in to Esquires Coffee for a quick bite and a good cup of tea or coffee.

Really good coffee, even with alternative milk which is a skill! Lovely workers and the food smelt great.

Don't trust opening times. Arrived when google said it opened, and hour and half later I had to get my train empty handed & hungry

A cozy cafe close to the town center and just a few steps from Stratford upon Avon train station. We tasted excellent coffee, smoothies and dessert. The staff was very helpful and nice. A pleasant environment if you are waiting for a train, but it is worth going there even if you are not traveling anywhere, the cafe is right next to a large parking lot. We will definitely come back here again.

I arrived as the café was closing. I had to use the toilet, as the station toilet was shut. So I bought a hot drink to drink on the train. The toilets were clean, the staff were friendly and I'm glad that I stopped to get a drink.

Good location next to station. Very good coffee, pastries nice. Food selection, good range except for only 1-3 vegan options, but never asked or tried these. Only downsize was the fact that a smoking area was outside main entrance door. These days, that should be away from the building or out of site when customers are eating.

The service was friendly. The atmosphere relaxed. The organic mocha latte is just right and not too sweet. The prices are reasonable. When in Stratford, that's where I like to go for my coffee. In the warmer weather, their outdoor seating area is nice and bright 👍🏽

Incredibly kind staff. My sister and I were waiting for a train back to London that never came. The next one was not for another two hours and it was very cold outside. I'm not sure if the woman who let us sit inside is the owner or manager or just a very kind human, but wow -- I am truly speechless. Thank you so (so, SO) much for your kindness. I can't tell you how much it meant to us that you kindly let us sit indoors. Practicalities: the hot chocolate was delicious. The wifi is very strong and reliable. Pain au chocolate was also good! The people are some of the kindest I've ever met.

Epic cheese and ham toasties. Loaded with ham and melted cheese. This is all that needs to be said tbh.

Step out of Stratford upon Avon railway station and into the warm brightly lit interior of Esquires Coffee. The staff are friendly and the food and coffee is excellent. A stop at Esquires Coffee is a great way to start your visit to Stratford upon Avon.

Loved the place, fantastic design and atmosphere, you are enjoying when looking around the walls, so many nice pictures, decorations and writings. Not to much variety on food options but fair enough for a cafe.

Just a quick coffee as soon as outside of station because this cafe is just in front of station. Not bad service and cool coffee.

This cafe is perfect, whether it's for a quick coffee before the train or to have lunch at. Jade was extremely friendly and let me sit and do some work before ordering. Will definitely pop back in!

Jade and Donna are very lovely helpful people Had latte and it was lovely but customer service is absolutely top notch. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for cool relaxing and homely atmosphere!

Wrong location on the map. It is just by the station not all the way around as shown on the map.

Been visiting a lot recently on my lunches, and can genuinely say that the service, food and atmosphere are all brilliant. Really made to feel welcome and looked after, particularly by both Jade and Amber. Look forward to many more visits!

Visit weekly with a group of friends. Friendly welcome. Coffee is excellent. Occasionally have lunch which is also good. Nice atmosphere staff are nice and always make sure we are well looked after. Would definitely recommend.

Directly opposite the train station, nice cafe serving hot and cold drinks and food to eat in or takeaway. It was busy when we were there due to a rail tour at the station. Drinks and cakes were good but the sandwich wasn’t fantastic - cheese and tomato melt looks good in the photo, but was not cooked on the inside, which was a shame and a bit of a let down.

Below par Esquires. Friendly staff who apologised that they had yet to learn how to make the iced tea that was on the menu so it wasn't available. They managed an iced latte but I would do better myself at home with instant coffee and a glass of milk.

Meeting a friend for coffee on Friday afternoon and stumbled across this gem of a cafe located opposite the train station. Lovely vibe as you walk in. Presentable cafe, friendly staff. I had a flat white my friend had one of their smoothies. We both had cake and wow the cakes were so fresh and had so much to choose from! They also had a nice selection of sandwiches which I will be back to try at some point. Thank you again to the team.

There’s nothing more wonderful than walking into a coffee shop that is light, bright and fresh. They have a wonderful selection of cakes and light bites as well and a good selection of coffees and milk alternatives. It’s not very often that any coffee I order doesn’t require sugar. Their coffee was smooth, rich and not bitter at all. This was just what I needed after a horrid 4 hrs journey to get into Stratford. 10/10 Would definitely recommend!

I popped in here with friends whilst waiting to assist in collecting some furniture for them. I really appreciated the patience and professionalism of the staff. The customer service was fantastic and the decor style gave a relaxed feel. I didn’t eat here. There is some free parking (if available) on the road by the business estate down the road. I recommend a visit to check out for yourself.

Drastic decline! This place used to be brilliant, now the manager is rarely seen, there’s 2 members of staff barely keeping the place afloat and a customer who gets paid in coffee to help out, despite having no food/hygiene training, is allowed behind the counter around food prep. The 3 of them roll cigarettes on the food counters, smoke together outside where customers sit and then prepare food without washing their hands at all, including after handling money etc. They complain about not being paid even minimum wage, about the manager saying he’s incompetent and useless and can’t even order the right stuff (most of the menu is unavailable), the cakes are stale, the place is filthy, there’s rats about and when we went to get a drink the other day, Environmental Health were doing an inspection (they’re already ranked a very low 2). Avoid if you don’t want to get sick!

We had just got off the train and my 7 year old daughter needed to use the toilet, the train station toilets were out of order, so we asked in the coffee shop if she could use the toilet there "custoners only" a young girl barked from behind the counter ,so we then asked well if we buy a couple of coffee's which was fine on our part could she use the toilet, again she then replied "no you cant", whoever runs this place needs to train the staff to be a little bit more human, and show a little bit more respect. Needless to say I wont be returning.

Popped in for a coffee before my train, the guy that served me was so lovely! Got my coffee and it ended up spilling all over me due to a hole in the cup ( who cares it happens) BUT then a lovely lady helped me clear up, replaced my coffee immediately AND refunded me without asking… absolutely brill will be back thanks guys <3

HORRENDOUS SERVICE! I asked for a coffee frap, the waiter gave it to me without coffee. And when I asked whether it had coffee in it, they said "Yes it does, oh wait, no it doesn't". Proceeded to throw the coffee-less mixture back in, with a coffee shot and reblend it making it a latte. When I pointed out that it was watery the waiter said "That's how we do ours here." Which is a lie because I saw someone walk out with one as I came in which was fluffy, which is why I went in there. I would have asked for my money back but I had a train to catch. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. Its overpriced and underwhelming.

ordered pancakes and they were served cold with a pile of wipped cream and a mess of berries, asked if the pancakes could be served warm at least and the lady gave us a very unfriendly response but got them warm at the end, not impressed

Friendly community cafe with good food.

After a disappointing night at the nearby DoubleTree hotel (fire alarm went off and then in the morning no hot water!), our day improved with a visit to Esquires Coffee. It is conveniently located next to to the railway station. Our hot food was tasty, and the carrot cake and blueberry-raspberry crumb bar were fresh and excellent. Staff were friendly. We would return if in the area.

Called by new years eve for a quick coffee before getting the train home albeit about 10 minutes before their closing time. 'We're closed,it's new years eve, we're closing early. Get some new staff ! Had a coffee earlier in the day which was good. Won't be returning .

Always like a good coffee so arrived here after checking reviews. It was quite a walk from middle of Stratford as we didn’t realise it was at the station, but worth it. Fab coffee, delicious cake, good service.

Great staff and amazing milkshakes

A nice little cafe in a good location for those who commute regularly to and from Stratford Train Station. Staff are friendly and coffee is done well too. Never had any fuss whatsoever and tend to pop in whenever I pass by.

My son and I popped in for a quick drink and a sandwich. Great service and lots of options, a lovely little coffee shop with one of the nicest Mocha's. Would recommend a visit.

Visited Esquires Coffee expecting not much more than coffee and perhaps a biscuit. Ended up having brunch of avocado, bacon and toast with salad. Everything was delicious, fresh and well prepared. The coffee was also very good underpinning my view that the good independent coffee shops really are head and shoulders above the multinational chains. If you arrive in Stratford upon Avon by train for a sightseeing day this is where you should start

My favourite place to read a book while having a cup of good coffee

They have smoothies in menu but none of them were available (no explanation given) neither fresh fruit juice. They had milkshakes but they were not vegan. So I order cold latte with plant milk and they charged me 50p more for asking plant milk option....

I visited today for the first time bringing a lady who had not been outside since Lockdown began 2020 . It was the perfect venue for her first outing. friendly staff, the venue is spacious inside and the outdoor seating areas were perfection to enjoy...

Wow! Visited Stratford Esquires after a great experience in the Bournemouth franchise whilst on holiday. We weren’t disappointed. Along with great coffee and a raspberry lemonade, we had the eggs Benedict and smashed avacodo with bacon. When the food arrived we decided to have one...

Good cafe outside Stratford upon Avon railway station. Really got its act together this last few months, regularly cleaning tables, new initiatives, friendly staff and well managed. Still good, though I see their advertising for a new manager, I hope the old one's not leaving, she's very efficient.

Spontaneously visited for lunch with my wife. We opted for a sausage batch and tuna melt, accompanied by 2 cappuccinos and followed with a slice of tiffin. The food was plentiful and of excellent quality and the coffee superb! The train station and its car park are literally next door, but we were able to park for free on the road slightly further up than the car park entrance and just walk down. Either way, Esquires is a lovely coffee shop, with polite and efficient staff. We will be coming back.

A quick stopover on the train found this restaurant opposite the station. Great coffee and cakes. Breakfast and brunch available if you want that as well.

Best cup of mocha I've ever had.

Literally worst experience I’ve ever had in a cafe, Refused to serve me any food as their dishwasher was not working and yet served a customer after me food. Was not impressed by the staff as it seems the only reason to only refuse me because they did not want to do some washing up. Was not busy at all and staff spent most their time chatting or on their phones. First time at an esquires coffee would not be back. Also no Soya or Oat milk so couldn’t even buy a drink. Would not recommend even if you’re waiting for a train!

No hot food available because their dishwasher was broken (broken since 3pm, 20 minutes before we arrived and 2 hours before closing) discussed in front of us wether they should allow us to have hot food, what I can assume is the supervisor said to the barista the she can serve hot food if she wants but she’d have to wash the plates up herself, so the barista turned around and said they weren’t doing hot food - then continued to stand and do nothing for the rest of the time we were there as it wasn’t busy. Then, after half an hour of us finishing our drinks another customer walks in and asks for hot food, to which they were told the same thing as we were told - the other customer then said could she have it to take away which the staff then mulled over and said that was fine and made it for her. Ridiculous this wasn’t offered to us at all. No soy or oat milk options (sold out maybe?), only almond and coconut, which is awful as almond milk is terrible for the environment and coconut milk definitely doesn’t work in every hot drink. Lazy staff, awkward environment and sub par drinks - wouldn’t be back again.

Lovely little coffee shop opposite Stratford upon Avon railway station. Very well thought out eclectic interior and friendly, welcoming staff. Out on a bit of a limb at the station, think it would thrive in town. Hope it survives. Highly recommend.
