Very bad service Meat warmed up in microwave No grill, avoid food in this place

Food was piping hot and as good as if id eaten in absolutely great food always

A fabulous find in this picturesque village. We were very warmly welcomed and enjoyed a dinner for two. Beautiful, flavoursome food and friendly service. Would definitely go back if in the area.

Went out for a hike and found this pub at the end of the hike. With signs that said 2 more fields to go. On a quiet Monday afternoon. Service was lovely and the food was amazing. Had the burger and the soup of the day (root vegetable). Sat out the front of the pub and food brought out to us. Just really good food. Then we hiked it back after a few beers. Glad we found this little pub.

Overall it's OK. The service was brilliant. However the venue was a bit crowded with the chairs and tables. If you have a small function it's ideal but if you want space you won't be able to get too many people in.

Very enjoyable lunch with drinks and desert. We felt well looked after. As we were a party of 8, we chose menu items in advance. The arrangements were easy to make and we enjoyed all the dishes. One of us has nut allergy and the Yew Tree team went above and beyond to make sure he was safe and felt safe. Thank you.

This review is in relation to multiple delivery's we've had from the restraunt. Eating in the food is great never a problem but every time we order the food is appalling yesterday my food come barely Cooked the tikka was like jelly, rush cooked I presume to get the delivery out threw the night I had been throwing up this food quite disappointing considering the food cost me £50 I'd advise if you are eating here go and eat in because multiple delivery's from here now the food Has arrived not fit for consumption

I attended a private function in that banquet suite, for the partially blind.The food they put on was amazing, the room was lovely. Staff were great & very accommodating. Would recommend this place. Oh they also gave two free bottles for the raffle 😊

Chicken Tikka Dhansak didn't taste of anything. Bland luke warm food. Naan bread was fresh warm tasting. The price was reasonable.

Food is absolutely lovely, always fresh and full of flavour.

We had chicken tikka masala salmon masala tandoori king prawns if I didn't know any better I would have said the masala sauce was tomato soup! The salmon was very dry and the "4" king prawns £14 tasted like they'd been deep fried tough was an understatement the last time I used this pub was about 3yrs ago and the food was quite nice I can safely say I will NOT be going back for anymore food!

Very poor service . When asked how long our food would take we were told 30mins max. 30 mins later asked again and were told 10 mins. 10 mins asked again and were told 15mins. Its been an extra 20mins and we are still waiting while im writing this . Very dissapointing . Have lost my appetite .

I want to thank you so much for a wonderful family experience on Easter Sunday. We were able to pre order our meals, were greeted very professionally when we arrived, drinks sorted and table was ready so felt truly welcomed! Our orders were discussed to confirm and any extras / changes offered. Lovely staff came to check all was going well. The food was delicious and high quantity / quantity so thanks to chefs. The lovely ladies who served us were very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much of a problem. I hope we can please come again 😊

A lovely pub run by the local community. We stayed in a property nearby for the evening and headed to the Yew Tree for food. Although busy, as it was Good Friday, they found us a slot and were friendly and welcoming from the moment we stepped through the door. The food was lovely- fab selection of drinks, especially ales. We loved it.

Had my 18th birthday meal here today (17th march) and the food was amazing 👏 and the menu is priced very well. Staff were amazing as well, super friendly will be coming back!

I just had the most amazing Sunday lunch at this cozy little spot! Seriously, it was one for the books. Let me tell you all about it. First off, the roasted shank of lamb was out of this world. Juicy, tender, and packed with flavor—it was like a party in my mouth! And the vegetarian lentil parcel? Oh man, it was a delightful surprise. So hearty and tasty, even meat lovers like me were impressed. But what really made the meal was the service. The hosts were top-notch—friendly, attentive, and really went the extra mile to make sure we were well taken care of. They even listened to our special requests and knocked it out of the park. Oh, and did I mention the live music? It was the cherry on top of an already fantastic meal. Such a nice touch! And let's talk about those bloody marys. I'm telling you, they were the best I've ever had. Perfectly spicy and refreshing. Overall, it was an experience to remember. Great food, awesome service, live music, killer drinks—what more could you ask for on a Sunday afternoon? I'll definitely be coming back for more! Thank you Layla!

ULTIMATELY IT'S A PUB GUESS THE SMELL OF URINE LINGERING AT THE ENTRANCE & BAR IS NORMAL FOR SOME BUT FOR ME IT PUTS QUESTIONS ABOUT HYGIENE IN MY BRAIN FROM THE GET GO... PLACED ORDER AT THE KITCHEN HATCH NO TABLE SERVICE, LIMITED THE ORDER TO A PANEER CURRY, NAAN,CHIPS & PRAWN BIRYANI. FOOD ARRIVED HOT BUT SMALL PORTIONS. FLAVOUR HIT WAS MISSING - NO BOLD GARLIC GINGER OR INTENSE GROUND SPICES. WHILST I WAS SAT EATING I FELT IT WAS NECESSARY TO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT ON FOOD STANDARDS WEBSITE 😯 IT HAS BEEN DOWN TO 2 STARS HYGIENE RATING FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS 🤢 GROSS!! NEEDLESS TO SAY I DIDN'T TOUCH ANOTHER BITE & GOT OUTTA THERE. NO SIR NEVER AGAIN (NOT UNTIL STANDARDS CHANGE TO A 5 STAR) I HAD HEARD GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE BUT HYGIENE FAILINGS ARE UNFORGIVABLE.

Lovely meal out, the staff were really attentive and friendly. The food arrived lovely and hot and the portions were really generous. It was tasty and as described on the menu. The puds were yummy too. Really relaxed Friday evening atmosphere with a nice buzz coming from the bar area too - a lovely combination. We sat for quite a while after our meal and at no point felt rushed to pay up and get out of the way, everyone was really friendly, even the dogs who popped to say hello!

If i can give no stars i would do that for service.. spend as much and ask for an extra sauce.. the lady at the counter says i have put two each in two bags.. reach home there is none in the second bag.. talk about being stingy. Was recommended been there a few times.. not going again.. the lady was rude.. had book3d a table for sunday for my whole family cancelled it now. I am sure 68 pound of takeaway can get a 15pence extra sauce container. I think its new staff never seen the lady before. Good job you lost a customer today.. its not rocket science to be a little respectful.

Lovely staff who when out of their way to accommodate our last minute changes to our booking, and squeezing our little doggie in, for Sunday lunch. I was undecided on what meat to have so went for the 'Trio' and what a Trio' ! each portion was a meal in its self. I rarely order beef as it can be so 'hit and miss' but was pleasantly surprised and wish I'd gone for just the beef as it was beautifully pink and tender, cooked to perfection! I can't wait to come back for the roast beef ! The whole visit was a delightful experience from the friendly staff, good ale and a Sunday lunch to die for ! Will be back !!

Came here for food and a few drinks. The mix grill wasn't great and the portion size for a large mix grill (see photo's) was terrible. The chicken was hard, food was warm at best. Terrible kebab so dry and rubbery. Pint of Guinness was ok but not poured properly. Nans were cold, the butter chicken one of the very worst around. Only saving grace was the lamb claypot. Plenty of other better desi mix grill pubs around so do yourself a favour and go there.

Had my 50th anniversary here here,good food and atmosphere, bar staff polite,the manager paid a full round of drinks for our family can't thank him enough, I use this place most weeks,tried most places in West bromwich, but this place is the best for food and watching the football

A wonderful pub venue with friendly welcoming staff, fantastic food & and really good service. Thoroughly recommend the sea bass fillet from their winter menu!!

Food was absolutely freezing! Hardly any chicken in the noodles! The naan bread was so wet and soggy/greasy. All the poppadoms were smashed up not one was whole. Really disappointed Considering how much I spent!

Great place to eat, lovely vegetarian food. The non veg looked good but I'm vegetarian.

Fabulous pub in a lovely village. Food was amazing - freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. The desserts were delicious and full of flavour. My friend and I pronounced it one of the best meals we’ve had! The atmosphere was nice, calm and relaxed, the proprietors are friendly and genuinely proud of their menu - as they should be! Wonderful friendly pub. Have returned a few times now and always had a warm welcome However muddy our boots are! Had 2 muddy dogs with us this time and still welcomed in. Food excellent and very good value.

Arranged to meet our son, daughter in law and their 6wk old baby for my 60th Birthday celebration lunch. It is halfway in a two hour journey so suited all of us. Jack was very accommodating when I booked being very understanding of having such a young member of the family with us. We had fish and chips, burgers and a pizza which were all delicious. The staff were all professional, helpful and made us feel very welcome. Thank you all so much for making it such an enjoyable time, you really do go that one step further for your guests. I’m sure we will be back again in the future.

Amazing tasty food, took over 45 mins for the food, however.... It was worth the wait. AND they sell caffreys which was a nice treat. Chicken Tikka, Lamb Rogan Josh, Chilli Chips and Coriander and Garlic Naan.. Absolutely gorgeous

Expected a little bit more from a first order from this place. Just 2 tubs and an envelope Get the same from Chinese after hundreds of orders. Just Expected first order would be an impressive experience but was disappointed. Food was just ok to be honest.

My Wife and I went for Sunday lunch. Jenny had the lamb shank and I had the Trio. I was hungry, but I didn't expect the wonderful large portions. The meat and veggies were cooked just the way we liked them. The last time we were there was NYE and we were amazed that Ellie remembered that being our anniversary. She is such a great ambassador for The Yew Tree and obviously has a great team around her. They all create a terrific atmosphere. We won't leave it so long next time!! Roger Manners

Pilau rice was a little mushy and garlic naan didn’t taste of garlic and didn’t taste fresh but korma tasted really nice. Food arrived piping hot.

There was a slight faux pa's by the delivery driver as he brought the wrong food , however that was sorted out by us & the actual kitchen staff & as always the food is gorgeous & full of flavour & very tasty. This kitchen makes it as you like be it mild to extra chillies in the curry as I love. This I always find is food made with the highest care & attention & always hits the spot. I would recommend the Yew Tree in West Bromwich to any & every one. Definitely worth it.

Hi Had a family function last Saturday, approx 75 guests. The Yew Tree has a separate banqueting suite from the pub and can cater in house for upto 110 people. Thank you so much for delivering an awesome event, from setting the room, to the food and drinks ....had some positive comments come back from the family. 1. Venue was awesome 2. Food was really excellent....some of my family are food critics .....for them to say that....WOW!!! 3. The team provided an excellent service and were so nice and forthcoming 4. And the whole attitude and approach was so professional and you dealt with us with such respect and care. The event was a huge success so again thank you to the ..... THE YEW TREE TEAM!💙❤️

Chicken chilli wings a bit under cooked beautiful veg chilli noodles

A beautiful old pub in a pretty village. Very helpful staff. Nice selection of ales. The best haddock chips and peas plus tartare sauce. We all agreed that it was the best fish and chips we've eaten anywhere. Highly recommended.

Only been here for party venues. The venue is quite spacious and the food is good.

If you want to have lots of food colouring then go there🤷‍♂️ All the Indo Chinese items have nothing but Bright Red food colouring(nearly pink). Draught wasn’t poured properly, lots of foam. Don’t recommend having indo chinese items over there, do try other stuff.

Chicken Vindaloo was lovely, Naan could have been fluffier very nice food all round though.

We had a lovely relaxed lunch here. The menu is fairly limited and the food pretty simple to prepare, maybe they have a new or less experienced chef? Having said that, the food we had was really good and the service was excellent. The pub is in a very pretty village and it has a lovely friendly feel to it, a great asset for the village.

Amazing best Indian in West Bromwich !

We had the best steak and chips served with an amazing peppercorn sauce, garlic peas and green beans, tomato and mushroom. We couldn’t resist the battered onion rings on the side as an extra. Everything was cooked to perfection and reasonably priced. The homemade cheesecake and ice cream made locally is an absolute winner. The staff are very friendly and happy to serve. It was well worth the visit.

We visited The Yew Tree for dinner, it was very busy and we hadn't booked but they found us a table in the bar, we had moules mariniere and two of us had the ham and eggs, the food was really good and the service was excellent, good pint of butty bach and nice glass of pinot blush, first visit here but will definitely not be our last, thank you to the great team

Came here, four adults, three children. Ordered the food which arrived at the table excellently and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed every mouthful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had an excellent time at the Yew Tree. The children enjoyed themselves and the food was wonderful. All allergies were catered for and checked about. The service was excellent for the children and the adults. The kitchen were fantastic and were willing to help with anything we required. Above all, excellent.

The Yew Tree is a thriving village pub that does a fabulous Sunday roast. The beef is sourced locally and is excellent, accompanied by the best Yorkshire pies! We started with the crispy beef salad which is so tasty and finished with Eton mess. Service is always with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you, Jack and your team!
