Cafe closed down in November site up for sale

I liked this place with its lake, fisher people and wholesome food selection.. I was lucky to find it as I'd not planned a visit it just coincided with lunch time.. People working there were profesional and friendly.

Only went in for tea, but the welcome and service was warm and consistent.

Sadly closed when we went, would suggest calling before travelling as the hours on Google don't seem to be right. Nice location though.

Brilliant very nice location and breakfast ' outstanding.

Nice people and cooked a meal for the wife they said they only serve at breakfast. Food was 7/10 and cost with a wine and a cider was not cheap. My gripe was the salt, pepper, sauce, etc comes in those sachets you get in service stations and let's the place down. We also had to search for a menu as none were outside where we ate, they turned out to be tucked away on a rack inside the building behind the counter. Nice location on a sunny day overlooking the lake 😎

Fabulous Cafe tucked away by Henfold lakes. Enjoy a lovely lunch sitting on the veranda overlooking the lake. Recommend.

Great location. We were able to sit outside as it was sunny and warm. Huge full English breakfast that I took quite a time to eat but it was really enjoyable. Will definitely go there again.

Fantastic setting and lovely food

Nice place to stop on a Saturday morning cycle ride. Not too busy, friendly service, good bacon and sausage sandwiches, toilets very clean, nice quiet lakeside location. Nothing not to like really!

Good food good service great location as a coffee drinker it could be better but the rest outweighs the coffee by long shot definitely worth a visit

The two guys running this were incredibly helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Have booked again for another family party.

Great staff lovely setting and good food

Haven't worked my way through the menu but had a pastrami salad back in the summer and a very nice brie and bacon toastie today. Unassuming cafe delivering good food, reasonably priced. The guys are working hard to make this place work. Potholes in the road are the only blip for this site. Can't wait for the multitude of geese to return.

Beautiful spot with great views over the lake. Reasonable prices and very friendly.

First visit here for some lunch with our daughter.Lovely food with fantastic views. Will certainly be coming again.

Very nice place to eat in a great location. Very friendly staff with a great variety menu selections the big breakfast is amazing after a long cycle ride. It has cycle stands that you can lock your bike to and plenty of places to sit inside and outside. Will go again.

Camping there had meal with family didn't have half the items on the menu

Lovely cafe/restaurant in very peaceful location. Good coffee and excellent brekkie.

Lovely place over looking the lake , ideal for a wedding or party . Bit dear , 2 teas and a packet of pork scratchings £5.50 .

Turned up 11.55 waited five mins to be acknowledged then told breakfast finishes at 12 if the staff had of been attentive I'd have been served at 1155 not recommended

Great food just slightly let down by the wait. I'm sure it will start to blossom as it is still in there first year of reopening

Modern cafe by the lakes. Open all year. Wood burning stove. Real ale wasn't on today. Food good if a little pricey.

Great place for food and a spot of fishing.

Great location but they don’t have a “proper” coffee machine and the scrambled egg on toast was two eggs on just a single slice of toast. Could be such a great place to stop for breakfast if they could just get a decent coffee machine and be a bit less stingy with the toast!

Went to this new cafe to eat only to be told we are not doing any food as we have a steak night at 5pm.i visited this place at 12pm.there was a times board clearly stating that food is available between 7-3 for breakfast and lunch!.also no coffee available as the brand new machine was broken.2 very small cups of tea cost £3!.the member of staff was very unhelpful and miserable and had a couldn't care less attitude!.at the cost at replacing this building after the old one had burnt down,you"d would think that more effort would be taken for customer service!.I Won't be returning and will go to the Royal Oak pub to eat in the future as the food was very good there.

Great place. Shame it’s not open from 8:30 am on a Sunday but Opens at 12:00 mid day.

Amazing place and peaceful, keen cyclists would be great to see more selecting of cakes and the coffee not great. Would revisit again.🌻🌞🚴

Super place to relax and enjoy the fishing. Good for caravans as well

Nice cafe, conveniently situated nearby a caravanning park. Friendly staff too. The only gripe is that unfortunately, the road leading up to the cafe is full of potholes and I have even seen ducks further up crossing the road, so drive slowly and with care.
