Went for lunch with family, service was impeccable from all staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. Food came out in good time and was spot on. Kelly on the bar was excellent and our server Michelle went above and beyond. Excellent desserts made by Vicky. A credit to hungry horse

Fab local pub however... Painfully slow bar service! It wasn't even busy so no excuse. Staff were keen to answer the phone rather than serve waiting customers! Sunday dinner, was cold & some guests were missing the obvious Yorkshire puddings,stuffing and potato's. Cutlery wasn't readily available to everyone and once the food arrived there was no offer of sauces. Staff were hurried and unattntive. A few decided to order desert, which was a mistake! 45 mins we waited only to learn that they hadn't been ordered. Deserts were eventually served with a quick apology and then we left. Normally we would of stayed for coffee or more drinks but not today.

Came to the Hem Heath for food with family. Warm welcome on arrival when showed to our seats, all staff were lovely and friendly, food and drinks were served quickly. Special mentions to Hollie who served us and to Kyle for being so accommodating with our order, can’t thank you enough!!!

Arrived just before our booking time and was shown to our table immediately. We were served by Tom & Casey and had a tasty meal, desserts and drinks. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a lovely time. We will be back thank you.

Sadly not a good visit today. The place was dirty in the areas we observed. Flies on a cool October day inside the establishment is not a good sign. We were given dirty cutlery. Portion sizes not good since last visit. The atmosphere can only be described as loutish, yes Stoke were playing today but at 12 noon when you just want a relaxed lunch, it was most off putting, we could certainly no enjoy any form of conversation. The TV was blasting out and the majority of customers attempting to shout over this. No consideration to others whatsoever. On a match day it appears to be a place where fans go to get a skinful before making their way to the match. We will definitely not be visiting again any time soon. Avoid match days folks if you want to dine in peace. I really think that the hygiene of the place requires immediate attention and investigation.

Loads of flies in the place where we sat so that was off putting. Breakfast was ok but could not enjoy due to having to constantly swat away flies. Will not be returning
