After my husband and myself experienced food poisoning for the second time, felt like I had to leave this review… sorry but this is not good - and we won’t be risking ordering a third time.

I have enjoyed eating from the Helston Grill for many years all the way back before… When for those in the future the crazy times of Covid and inflation prices really have changed but the quality is very good here from my experience the Doner Meat (Lamb Doner) and chips has been my favourite all the way back when Helston Grill first opened

Great food very tasty and excellent quality of service. I was recommended to go here as we wanted to eat halal food in the area. We managed to find this take away and it was worth the recommendation.

Ordered food, it sat in the carpark for 20 minutes getting soggy and cold because the driver didn’t identify himself as the delivery guy. Nice and warm can of coke to go with my cold food. Asked for sauce and was ignored. Wish I had never bothered. Won’t be ordering anymore food from here. Waste of money.

On holiday in Cornwall and found this place by chance.... food is really tasty and no scrimping on portions. Great service and would highly recommend.

I should have listened to the other reviews and went elsewhere. Food portions were tiny. Ordered two large mixed kebabs and you could have put both of them in one tray they were that small. A majority of the meat was fairly tasty however but there were some burnt bits and cubes of doner meat. Almost £20 spent and were still left hungry. I wouldn't recommend.

Do not eat here. The food was horrible and dry. The chicken wasn’t cooked (nearly raw) and was purple and pink under the batter. This is the worst kebab shop I’ve ever been to and I wouldn’t recommend them even to a rat.

Great shish/doner mix, kofte was plentiful, salad was fresh. Portion size was good for the price, which was reasonable. Will be visiting next time I am in the area.

Disappointed. Having enjoyed many kababs in the past, over reason times my opinion have changed. Delivery was within the stated time, the food was tasty, but sadly the quantity was poor. In the past a large combination 2 skewer kabab and large cheesy chips, would have done 2 of us, but tonight's delivery was on the small side, the skewer meat was as stated but the lamb donor was on the meagre side, if I pushed it all to one side it would have filled about half the pitta bread, the salad again was on the small side, barely covering the kabab. Cheesy chips again tasty but filled less that half the box. Sadly I don't think I will be ordering again, certainly not worth the £20 paid.

I was rlly thirsty and I went to order some food to get a drink too n the closing times has changed to shut at 1130 on weekdays now I’m dehydrated thanks a lot not happy

Never had a better kebab from anywhere else, staff are friendly and chatty, always up for a laugh; food is excellent quality for the price with great taste and sizes. 10/10 would go every time.

I've been eating chicken doner kebabs for about 25 years, from all over the country, and never come across a single bone. One large kebab from here had three bones in it and loads of hard gristly bits, and put me right off eating. They must be using the worst cuts of meat. Taste wise it was ok, but I'll drive to Penzance for a better one.

Visitied here for some take away food during recent holiday in Cornwall. Food was very good and staff were polite. Parked on the road outside. Prices were fair and there was enormous choice from the menu. Reccomended.

Nice and friendly people and very polite when ordering as well as when we collected. We had chicken donner (very tasty) and lamb and chicken kebab (absolute delicious) and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended and would definitely come back when we are in the area.

We were looking for a Halal food place during our trip to Cornwall and came across Helston Grill. We tried their pizza box combo and and it was amazingly delicious. The pizza are great and the kids loved them. Highly recommended with friendly staff

When i visit my friends we always order here i usually go for pizza its cooked really good and always nice and hot delicous.

Had a takeaway from here with the mother and they provided a fantastic kebab for the both off us and fulfilled my request for a bit of extra meat for a £1 at the door. top notch place will order again when too lazy to cook.

One of the few fast food takeaway places open in Helston in the evening. If for no other reason the Grill deserves custom. However the food is good value and service very efficient.

I used to use helston grill as the chips were actually amazing, the last 2 times I've been, the chips were cold and soggy and the donor meat was barely warm. Not great!!

The chips had been cooked at least twice maybe even 3 times And the chicken wings was soooooo chewy I don't understand how you make chicken wings chewy I've eaten so ruff food form some suspicious places but this place takes the ..... One of the chicken kebabs still had blood in it and the salad looked like McDonald's had thrown it out

Halal food affordable rates and magical food , Alhamdulillah.

I have spent the last week working as a locum pharmacist in Helston, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find anywhere halal to eat. Thankfully, I was able to find Helston grill, it is owned by people of Turkish ethnic origin, the owners are Muslim themselves, they assured me the food was halal and were honestly so nice and genuine. They treated me really well, incredibly friendly. I would often get 2-3 skewers of chicken with pitta bread. It was genuinely delicious. The pizza was quite good too. I highly recommend Helston Grill, particularly if you would like halal food.

Best kebabs and staff very friendly

My mixed kebab was not mixed. The chips were so hard they hurt my teeth. The chilli sauce was weak and there wasn't enough. In fairness the Donna meat was good. But I wouldn't know about the chicken as they failed to put it in. Overall, not a place I would go back to. Really disappointing. I was so looking forward to a good mixed kebabtonight and I could have spent the 7.90 much better

Called 20 minutes ahead to collect some kebabs and chips after a long day at a local cove. None was ready by time I arrived - after which they started making it. Chicken doner was oily, the carton was full of oil when opened and the chips didn't taste fresh. Salad on the side was 85pc cabbage with 2 tiny bits of cucumber and 2 small tomato slices. Really disappointing meal.

I've been eating kebabs for years and I've eat them all over Britain, and this little shop served me one of the best I've ever had , the doner was so tasty and juicy, the salad very fresh , well done top marks.

Great kebab, I finally ate one sober and I am so glad I did, the diner meat was juicy, the chilli sauce just piquant enough, the only thing that lets it down is frozen chips

Cracking Kebab shop Wraps are amazing

Just order a burger and pizza from Helston grill. I can’t fault it. The pizza is delicious, the burger was perfect. I’m not expecting Michelin stars, but expect good service, fresh veg where possible, crispy chips, juicy burger, the right sauces, delivery hot and on time and that’s what I got. It actually arrived in about 30 mins to my door and I was expecting an hour plus.

Staff are great, very clean and modern. Food is good, love the pizza here. Delivery is a long wait but probably to do with covid and high demand.

A local landmark. Friendly service and good value food. Open late. Sometimes only a kebab will do. Lots more on the menu e.g. pizza, chicken, chips. Great chilli sauce!

Ate the first couple of slices and thought it tasted a bit burnt.... Just disappointed that you would let a product leave your gaff like that. It was truly vile. Surely someone must have smelt the burning coming out if the oven.. waste of money.

Never ordered from helston grill before so was a bit hesitant on what i would get but Ordered at 7oclock arrived within half hr nice hot and verry tasty excelent service verry happy.

Simple and quick to order online. Food was ready to collect right on time and really nice too. Great service
