Terrible, and so disappointing. Walked to the cafe along the footpath queued up, full menu displayed, ordered but told no fish, ordered alternatives, told 20 min wait, ok. 15 mins later told no wraps (50% of orders), offered ciabatta ! Having ordered a breakfast Burrito and a Falafel wrap, ciabatta didn’t cut it really, but went ahead, resulting plates of food were terrible ciabattas being dense and dry, falafel tasteless and burrito coming with a bowl of microwaved rice. By the time we left they had no fish no chicken no wraps no chips. Thought we would finish with an ice cream, nice ice cream but not a please or thank you. I feel the food over priced. As a local I will never go there again

The cafe is a shadow of it's former self having been taken over and modernised. The photographs on this page therefore are no longer the fabulous menu that used to be available. When I was there this summer I found that the only indoor seating available was on high stools - totally unsuitable for older or disabled people. At the best of times it is windy at Gwithian and though there is plenty of outdoor seating it will only be suitable during good weather. The wraps I had were nice, as was the coffee - but the food and atmosphere now lacks the charm it once had.

Stopped off for late lunch/early dinner after a day on the beach at Godrevy last week. Seven of us in two families on a glorious summer day. I ordered a falafel and hummus wrap - I can honestly say it was the finest wrap I have ever eaten. My wife had a breaded chicken and her reaction was very similar - in fact everyone’s meal was fab! We will definitely return next time we’re in Cornwall.

My wife and I live in Cornwall and this cafe was always our "go to"cafe for lunch on a day out . Our recent visit was very disappointing . The food was good and service good but the facilities were poor . Two toilets are now one , not enough for the numbers visiting the area . Add to this there was no running water for hand washing . The bin for rubbish was inside the entrance so I had to enter the cafe to dispose of rubbish then leave via the queue for food . The staff said the cafe was being renovated but it has been for some considerable time . All in all a very disappointing visit .

On a stunning coastal walk I stumbled across this hidden gem hoping to find some caffeine and a bit of grub. Oh boy, I got more than just that, the whole experience was very very satisfying and the food/drinks were the best around. The mocha was perfect and so smooth (the perfect a mouth of chocolate and coffee) and being a coffee snob myself, I can safely say that Hells Mouth Cafe does not mess around - It was a mug of pure delight! The brunch roll was so insane I ended up buying 2. In my first roll the bacon was cooked just the way I like it and the egg was succulent. In the second, the veggie sausages were phenomenal and have never tasted anything so scrumptious. The bread roll it’s self was the perfect amount of soft and crunchy - very obvious they were fresh to the kitchen today. I will definitely be back very very soon for a cake and an ice cream!

On arrival we were given a grubby perspex menu which set the scene. The waitress had a scarf (not a mask) around her face which trailed into my husband's food when she delivered other plates. We were asked in a very cavalier way to provide telephone details on a scrappy piece of paper alongside other diners details (data protection obviously not an issue) which was left on our table for ages before I asked her to remove it. No sanitizer in sight or toilet roll when we arrived. The scrambled eggs and cheesy chips were tasteless and unappetizing. I could go on and on. We have been to this cafe several times before and loved it. It has obviously changed hands recently and really needs to up it's game if it is going to stay in business. Such a shame.

We live in Cornwall and Hell's Mouth Cafe is a favourite place for us to visit once the holiday season is over but this time we were worried as we had read a couple of bad reports on TripAdvisor since the new owners had taken over. Reports stating that the staff were very unfriendly and the food and beverages were poor. In our opinion and as a result of our visit today, these reports were found to be very misleading. On arrival we were greeted with a smile and friendly welcome. The coffee and food was brought to us by a happy and friendly waitress, the coffee was hot and the food delicious. We then asked a young waiter if it was possible to have an additional item, this he brought to us very quickly and when I went to pay he told us not to bother now but to pay when we were leaving. To sum up the food was great and we could find no fault at all with the staff or service, in fact every thing was perfect and it still remains our favourite cafe in Cornwall.

We came to Hells Mouth with 50 classic car members for a coffee or tea stop with Saffron Buns as part of our days driving. The team were very friendly and attentive and coped well with 50 all coming at the same time. They have a good sized car park and the view of Hells Mouth is certainly worth a visit. We would highly recommend this cafe.

As a local and regular visitor to the cafe I was really disappointed to go to the cafe this Saturday to find it closed. I checked the internet and it said open from 9:30 and when we saw the chalk board outside it said it opened from 9:30 until 5pm, however it was closed. So after a lovely 2 hour coastal walk we were extremely disappointed to find it closed, needless to say we won’t bother to go again. There must have been 4 other disappointed potential parties of customers that also arrived in the few minutes we were there who also left and spent their money elsewhere.

Popped in to see if I could see the new owners. The three young chaps at the till were not accommodating and were frankly rude and uninterested in my questions about the take over and new menus etc. I will need to reserve my judgement until they are up and running. I did not stay for anything to eat or drink, as I felt un-welcomed. I will go back in a few weeks.

Had a lovely late lunch here after a little stroll to see the seals. Well prepared food, friendly staff. Can’t ask for more. Might go back to get breakfast here later in the week.

Lovely little cafe in the midst of glorious fields. A place to rest and refresh on the way to or from the beach. Serves hot meals, sandwiches, cream teas, coffees, teas and hot chocolates. There is a place to eat inside and out and parking. On a warm day it's lovely to sit outside and admire the views.

Siamo arrivati in una mattina di sole in cui la nebbia non si era ancora alzata e ci siamo fermati a bere un caffè co un un dolce. Tutto molto buono, ma il posto vince su tutto, con le sue panche di legno in mezzo all'erica.

Had a late breakfast here, excellent. Somewhere to stop off during or after walking the coastal parths. Or to cool off, Ice Cream - Rum and Raisin is my favourite.

Stopped off for some coffee and cake at this little gem of a cafe, would recommend the lemon drizzle with clotted cream on top it's really gorgeous! Scenery is stunning a little walk over the road. Well worth a stop!

Our last visit was very poor so only took coffee on this visit. Beautiful sunny day and sat out on the field with the picnic benches. All ok but as I say only took coffee. Better to go on a nice sunny day and enjoy the walking and scenery.

We booked afternoon tea for family celebrations. Afternoon tea was presented beautifully and was delicious. Our waitress Pinka was friendly and looked after us. The special offer was a bonus too. Highly recommended!

Beautiful building. Amanda the barmaid/waitress was very helpful and friendly. My family had the ham egg and chips, which was outstanding. I had fish and chips, the fish was delicious and fresh. The puddings were sinful and beautifully made.

Went for a coffee and was told could only have take away as it was 15:40 on a Sunday, my wife and I are both disabled and I have an ostomy and asked to use the loo and was told I could only if I buy something, so it cost me 7 quid for two takeaway coffees just to use the loo....thanks national trust

We stopped for an ice cream while on the search for our car keys which we lost on the beach!! 🤦🏽♀️ The rum and raisin ice cream was AMAZING and no complaints from the kids and hubby with their choices! The lovely gent who served us got his wife Zara to help us with locating the keys which luckily where found and left at the RLNI across but was closed, she managed to find someone who got the keys So thank you so much for your help lovely people and for the ice creams! 🥰 wishing you all the best x
