Heist Market in Hastings

Heist is a lovely place with great atmosphere, the food is a little spenny but mostly delicious. Service is adequate great place to come with friends as lots to choose from.

Pretty reasonable food and atmosphere, but the Shoreditch on Sea effect brings London prices.

We had an amazing meal at the Boatyard, brilliant fish and great wine, would highly recommend!

I preferred it when it was HSBC.

The burgers are awful & the Thai food is without a doubt the worst I have ever had anywhere ever, it’s all precooked somewhere else & transported in Tupperware to sit under the counter from opening time in the afternoon onwards & then reheated for unsuspecting customers which defeats the object of Thai food being freshly cooked. The beers not bad but we have no plans to return as there are much better places to go in St Leonards with better prices and a much better atmosphere. The decor is quite quirky but thats about it unfortunately.

Arrived at what seemed to be peak time on a Friday, and the team opened an area for us otherwise it would have been full! Great cocktails and the staff at the bar were really fun. Food area was a bit overwhelming for me honestly, lots of people waiting to order and because of the tables and other bar, it felt very cramped and noisy and everyone was in everyone else's way. Everyone was in good spirits despite that. Didn't get to try the food I wanted to because the place stopped taking orders, but actually meant I tried something different which was wonderful - the sea bass at the Thai place. The spring rolls were amazing too. After about an hour (so 8pm or so) the crowd thinned out and it was much more enjoyable, I think I'd swerve weekends or go a bit later in future. I don't think it was advertised that Boatyard was closed for a few weeks either so was disappointed to not get to try it but next time!

We had tacos, really tasty, and pint of three legs nepa was delicious too.

Great food and atmosphere, a lovely place to to sit and relax. The service is generally great, although the guy that works on the tea/coffee counter is very jovial with his mates but sometimes rude and off hand with other customers. This really needs to be addressed.

Brilliant inside food Court with so much choice and a lovely outside area. There are lots of choices from burgers, to again to amazing little tostatas and Mexican food as well as craft beer, a seated restaurant. Wine bar and coffee shop. All under one roof. Dog friendly and child friendly this venue has a real mix and always an excellent atmosphere. I've regularly sampled the food and love the idea of this indoor food market where you can mix and match. Great wines available and also a perfect place to sit and relax with a book. Ticks lots of boxes!

Over priced pretentious garbage. I saw a rat!

Visited from Sheffield with my family and the food was lovely but took a while to order. Unfortunately our experience was ruined by a very nasty woman that was working there asking us to be quiet even though we weren’t being loud. So we left a little unhappy. Probably won’t ever return.

Great selection of food, relaxed atmosphere and perfectly able to cope with a large table with loads of kids on a sunny Sunday. Something for everyone and a lovely time had by all, kids and grownups alike. Detroit pizza and tacos were pretty special!

Best coffee in Hastings and St Leonards!

Popped in for Hastings TTO, left with a new favourite brewery. Shout out to the lady with the banging Pastel Del Nata.. All in all sick venue ✌️

Just loved the place. Spent so much time here last summer in the garden, Free wifi and great coffee in the day as well as refreshing sparkling water on tap. Just spent the evening enjoing a meal.

Heist is great for a quick bite to eat and a beer. Main problem is it’s pretty cramped in busy periods and there is nowhere to buy a soft drink. It’s either coffee stall or beer stall. Or expensive wine from the restaurant. Maybe consider what drinks are on offer.

The Thai food is great! Must try if you go.

Unreal food, with unique spins on classics. The atmosphere is brilliant, and the decor great - you could get lost in food and drink here.

We went to the Boatyard within the Heist Market... The menu is small, but the food was (as always) perfect, brilliantly cooked, well presented and full of flavour. A great meal and evening had by all.

Great option for some good food and there is something for everyone with the food court setup! My go to is always the tacos though. They are lovely! Love the beer, too which is locally brewed. Only annoyance is it does get really busy in the summer and difficult to find a seat which you cannot book. Kids generally have the hot dogs.

Great place to go for lunch, really chilled, was quiet so I enjoyed it. Had Bangkokboy or something.....food was fantastic, really authentic Asian flavours but with a twist and tasty!the wontons were amazing!nice pint went well with it too. Staff really friendly and helpful!

Used to be my favorite place. But was shocked by how downhill Bangkok delivery boy has gone. My mother ordered the 17£ sea bass which she was unable to eat since it was a huge unfilleted fish with head and tail and endless bones. There was no mention of this on the menu. What was extremely disappointing was that when she returned it with embarrassment and many apologies they offered her nothing in return. So after spending 50£ my mother was left with nothing to eat. Also the curry and the miang which used to be delicious were not nice at all. Lack of flavour and salt. Overall extremely mediocre and overpriced. If you come, avoid ordering from Bangkok delivery boy.

Just ate at the heist, amazing hotdogs but we chose the mushroom burger which disappointedly had no taste and was served with a cheap replacement mayonnaise… please try goats cheese and a good chutney. Maybe a little more happiness when serving xxx

Very nice place, friendly but pick where you go carefully as my osaka pancake took 42 minutes to be ready compared to the tacos that was about 10 minutes. Tacos were a lot better than pancake as well.

This looks like a great place with great potential and a good variety of food to choose from... HOWEVER, we unfortunately made an error and chose to order from Tacos by Clam. We had the chicken tacos and the black bean tacos (you get 4 of each). Both of which were possibly the most tasteless tacos we have ever experienced. Served with a very spicy sauce, which we were assuming they were hoping covered up the tasteless taco toppings. The £20 would have been much better spent on one of the other food vendors offerings - things coming from both the Thai and the Japanese stalls look way tastier

Quirky little food hall with about half a dozen different eateries. Great prices and good range. They are however missing a trick by not selling soft drinks - there is a bar, a wine station and free water, but nowhere to just buy a glass/can/bottle of cola. Friendly members of staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Would return but drinks situation needs addressing. Managed to get a squeezed lemonade from the bar area but not what I was after.

What a vibe! I can't recommend this place more highly. A great range of places to eat and drink all under one roof. Plus there's an open air court yard at the back.

Great vibe, reasonable prices, great variety of food and drinks. The Three Leg brewery is a must! Something different from the usual seaside fayre. And definitely, a photographers dream made our family extremely welcome, especially when our food was ready but was starting to feed our daughter a lady who, I think, worked at the Boat Yard grabbed my partners food as we got her bottle ready! 1000% recommend visiting here!

I love this place for most things but unfortunately I like to sit outside in the summer and bins nearby stink and flies are around making it uncomfortable and unhygienic to eat or even drink.on a positive note I will continue to come as food service is great, may have to sit inside in future.

Happened on this visiting friends in Hastings. Hoped to try the street food, but no spare tables. They managed to slot us into the restaurant which was marvellous. Friendly service and lovely well cooked fish, highly recommended. Dog friendly too

Good quality food from a variety of different vendors in a food court style layout. Service was quick and they provided the things that buzz when your food is ready, so was easy to collect. Only minor issue is seating, which is quite limited, so get there early if you're planning on sitting together as a big group.

Excellent selection of differing cuisines, including independent beer brewers, all set in a vibrant indoor 'street food' environment. Highly recommended.

Living in London, we have a lot of food markets but this one is super cute. It’s an indoor market with a couple of bars, a small plates restaurant and then 4 (I think) street food vendors. All the food and drinks we had were delicious and the atmosphere was buzzy and welcoming. Would be a great spot for a date or to meet a small group of mates.

The best coffee I’ve had in a long time, coupled with a gorgeous slice of Easter cake and a delightful chilled industrial yet comfortable vibe. This place is well worth a visit.

Might be local yes but they don't care about their neighbours, looking at the backside is horrendous. Coherence about what local is, much needed in a larger sense not only for profit.

We've been here a few times now and it's a great venue. Love the idea of having a choice of food to suit most tastes, plus a good selection of beers, wines etc. Also a lovely lady on the cocktail bar, very helpful and friendly, with some really tasty cocktails and mocktails. All the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great. There is also a more traditional restaurant area with a great selection of fish dishes that we're going to try next.

I’ve heard a lot about this place recently even though i understand it’s been there for about a year. The concept is, a number of small food and drink business located in the old HSBC bank building with seating in the middle. There’s also a restaurant with it’s on seating if your looking to pre book. You grab a seat and then have a wander around to see what you fancy. I found a hotdog place, tai, tacos and cheese board place. You’ve got a beer area, a wine stand and cocktail area. The whole vibe is very relaxed and all menus are written of blackboards so looks like they change depending on what’s available. Our group attending On a Friday night. It was busy so hung around for a seat but didn’t wait too long. We ordered from the tai and tacos areas and had a cheese board for afters. I did see the hotdogs which looked good so maybe that’s for next time. Food was amazing and tai was authentic dishes with the lady behind the counter giving lots of advice of what to go for. You get a pager which you take back to the your table and wait for it to flash before collecting your food. The place has a cool chilled vibe and everyone seemed friendly with strangers discussing each others dishes as the food came out. A perfect place for lunch with friends or an evening meal, but probably book at the boat house restaurant if you want to guarantee table. Deffo going back, perhaps for lunch this time. A great evening out

£9 for 3 small chicken wings (which they half boned???). Advertised as Thai deep fried chicken. No mention of wings or how many...Absolutely robbery. Avoid.

Lovely place, great food and good beer on tap. Going through the double doors there is a posh restaurant but if you turn left there is 4 individual food outlets selling, burgers , tacos , Japanese food and spicy food, opposite is a bar selling great beer 🍺

I love that there is a smorgasbord of delicious food to choose from and mixing and matching your choices is an option. It can get loud however there are some little spots to find where you can hear each other talk. Cheesy chips with gravy and chicken tacos is my favourite combination

Amazing service and hospitality from freya! The chefs were so lovely as well, food was incredible and fast. Fresh fish and meat with great flavours. Great selection in wines as well. Me and my family LOVE this place.

Losing its sparkle. And surprisingly expensive for Japanese meal.. which wasn’t up to it. None of the outlets are good enough nor is their presentation. Needs everyone to upgrade as local people drift away. CH

Think I need to visit again as it's very hard to work out where to sit or where to go, nothing was very clear. The atmosphere was nice, we moved away from sitting near the toilet as it was right next to the first table we sat at. Overall though the food and people were great. Good for when you want a quick meal.

Great location! Very friendly staff. A diverse selection of foods from various corners of the globe and some fine beers from the Three Leg Brewery. What's not to like! From lighter snacks to bigger meals, Heist has got you covered. Highly recommended if you are passing.

Fabulous foodie place in St.Leonard's, with a variety of pop up restaurants drinks places and central seating area (even a little courtyard at the back) which means everyone can pick what they like. World food is of a very high quality, and great atmosphere- highly recommended.

Wide selection of different cuisines, leaving you spoilt for choice! Very simple to order and collect your food. Considering you have 4 different vendors as well as a craft beer bar it is a very easy going environment. Will definitely return in the future

I had a very nice, quick lunch at Arigato. Miso soup and mixed Sashimi. It was beautifully presented, very fresh and tasty and the gentleman who served me was charm personified. (As were the lovely ladies behind the counter too!) Highly recommended.

Great concept, well executed - street food, beer and wine in a very relaxed atmosphere. Burgers are good and the tacos too. Three Legs brewery have a bar set up here, some excellent beer choices. Haven't yet tried the wine bar or seafood but they're on the list! Heist Market gets very busy at times, so worth checking Google to see if it's likely to be packed

First time visit, several choices of different cuisines. All freshly cooked. The burger and fries were tasty and the German beer needed a few samples.
