Heavenly Desserts Castleford in Wakefield

Went on a Friday, waiter brought us random orders that we didn’t order, and one of us received our item 30 mins after everyone else, it was a raw waffle? No apology or offer to change wrong or raw items, then bill was wrong and we were being overcharged. Would not recommend at all

The salmon and avocado on sourdough was stunning! The coffee was actually hot (unusual in this day and age!) and hit the spot. Muhammad was attentive, friendly and efficient. Will definitely return when back in Castleford.

Wouldn't go again sat ages waiting for menus then sat ages for the food then they walked off with my money and never returned with the change and was serving other people so I just walked out and the desserts wasn't great and very over priced

Honestly the nicest waffles around. All freshly baked in store and quick delivery. The restaurant is beautifully maintained. Our server Muhammad was so lovely too. We will definitely be back!

The white chocolate and pistachio waffle was delightful and washed down perfectly with the banana and toffee milkshake. Service was efficient and super friendly. Happily recommended and will be back soon.

We came in quite late expecting not much to be available but had no issues ordering at all. Our waitress Shantelle was very friendly and attentive - thanks for being so patient with us as we figured out what we wanted! Drinks were served quickly and tasted great. Dessert came after (we got the tapas) and was just as lovely. You're spoiled for choice in this place, and the whole place smells of warm pastry (I assume from the croffles) which is just delightful! First time here but not the last - we'll be back to try the brunch for sure!

We have passed this restaurant many times but thought it just served sweet treats, how wrong were we! Today I noticed a brunch menu which made me stop and check out the menu in the window. In we went, what an absolutely amazing surprise, lovely decor, comfortable seating, spacious and airy. We ordered smoked salmon and avocado on sourdough with a strica drizzle and a hot pastrami with swiss cheese bagel. Absolutely delicious! Our waiter, Ayushmaan, was very friendly and efficient. Why is this place not busy, maybe people think, as we did, that it just sells sweet treats! It might prosper by having more advertising regarding savoury items, such as brunch and lunch! Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch today - thank you!!

Great location, but the staff could use some training in service. 4 of us attended. Personally, I found their savoury dishes disappointing. Everything was served cold (Hash Brown's and Spicy Beans). All dishes served one by one over a 20 minute timescale. Normally the food should be served altogether. Come on guys...

Food was great, but Fiazan's service made it even greater!

The food was delicious. We had asked for two child's portions (which we have had at this establishment before) and our server, Firzan put this in the order notes. We were given two adult portions for the children, but Firzan was very helpful and one of the waffles was removed from the final bill. Firzan was attentive and checked in to ensure we were enjoying our food.

came fast but i payed £9 for a tiny cookie dough was expecting it to be quite large considering it’s overly priced but not even that nice either to be charging that much and my milkshake come with no straw 😒

Fiazan was fantastic. Brilliant service. I would absolutely come here again! I reccomend the Grow Up (cookies and cream cheesecake that looks like a plant)

The waffle was very burnt, they are not supposed to be crispy. This should not have been sent out Hardly any strawberries on the crepe

We had a lovely experience at Heavenly Deserts in Castleford. We have been a few times on our own and also with our children who love it here. On our most recent visit we were served by a waiter named Muhammad t who was possibly one of nicest, most polite and helpful people I’ve ever met! He completely made our experience worthwhile

The food was absolutely delicious and the customer service was great. I noticed one waitress who was the most polite and respectful young-ish girl to ever come across in a restaurant as she was so understanding of my young children who felt overwhelmed in the busy place. Five stars to Lyla (I read her name on her badge). :)

First and last time coming tonight. Food should be brought out as a whole table, instead my partner was given his order whilst I sat there for another 15 minutes! By the time it came we didn't really want it. We saw this happen to another 2 tables whilst we were there, and saw another table send food back because it was burnt. Our chai lattes were burnt ( I don't know how you get that wrong) and the staff are not attentive. I also heard a man working behind the food bar talking to the female waitress appallingly, he used an aggressive tone and spoke to her like she was a child. Absolutely disgusting to see. Will never come back here, you need to sort your service and quality out. 20 mins to make something that's tastes just the same as I can get from greggs is not what you pay that kind of money for.

They couldn't organise to get drunk in a brewery. My first visit, was looking forward to it as my friends recommended. Im well disappointed, we ordered three desserts. My partner and my son had theirs but no sign of mine. They both finished and I still didn't have mine. After abt 20 min waiting I asked where is mine and being told it takes long time to prepare mine. Fair enough but they should bring all three desserts same time.

Amazing food, lovely service, highly recommend!

It was mine and my partner's first time visiting and will be our last visit. The waitress we had did her utmost. The other colleague at the desk spoke to the waitress like a peice of rubbish in front of customers which was not a pleasant sight. The food was sub par, I only eaten half of the cheesecake lolly, the chai latte tasted burnt and was too hot to drink at first. 20 minutes for monkey bread is far too long to be made up for the small portion you do get. The taste of the monkey bread hardly had any banana in it. The food was not served at the same time, it was whatever is ready first, why would you have food served at separate times?! This was not a "heavenly" place to be, more like the pits of hell. Would not recommend your time here if you passed by and think it looked nice, do not be fooled.

Service is horrible here. Had to constantly chase the staff to get their attention, they are least interested. The order took quite some time to arrive and the waffle ordered was completely soggy. The management was reluctant to initiate the refund but eventually provided the refund. Never visiting again 👎🏻
