Arrived to be told by a very stressed waitress that they not taking walk ins as only 2 of them working! Persuaded her to let us eat as nowhere else to go and meeting elderly parents. The poor girls were so busy no time to restock drinks no beer on tap no Diet Coke etc. Was told General Manager had left at 2 instead of 9pm and basically left them. Even the chef was being a waiter. They were very good and did cheer up when it calmed down but felt it was unfair for them to be left in this situation. Food was average my steak was chewy but was al cooked. Thank you to the 2 waitresses and hope they not always left to cope like that. More staff needed!

We use to go here every Sunday for a roast but lately the standard has gone down meat is nice but the veg is hard every week and not hardly cooked and the radio on in the restaurant is far to loud for a nice relaxing meal.

Great staff and fantastic food!

Unfortunately a complete shambles of a breakfast. Had to ask for everything from bread to make toast to eggs and baked beans and plates, wasn't expecting a buffet.. Nothing was being restocked.. No fresh pastries or yogurt left. Not even a banana.. Orange juice was squash.. Pretty unrelaxing bank holiday breakfast. Clearly a shortage of staff the staff there were lovely and doing what they could. Shame.

Working remotely visit many Brewers Fayre. This one is different, staff friendly and attentive, not only to customers but to each other. Makes a positive atmosphere all round. Food was as described on menu and not thrown it you but delivered with care and presented. Definitely a Brewers Fayre showing the others what they can be.

Holly and Josh out front and the chefs out the back ensured that the Easter Sunday breakfast for my daughter and I was a special one. Special thanks to Holly for making sure that we had extra hash browns! We look forward to going back.

The food and service was very good and we would recommend it.

Where to start? Arrived and the access door to the hotel was broken and left on the latch and if someone took it off the latch the staff had to let you in, the key card machine was having trouble coding the cards. As for the actual brewers fayre…. Well. Went for evening meal, the bar was massively understaffed, paid cash for drinks and was given the wrong change (£10 too much which I gave back). Too ages to get a drink, customers were complaining but the meal was ok… Tried this again this morning as we had booked breakfast… all the dishes out were stone cold! The beans were cold as were the bacon. The sausage and egg seemed to be under cooked, the water machine was turned off so no water…. Seems this one is seriously lacking in staff and staff training. Get a grip brewers fayre! Until this improves I would not recommend!

Absolutely fantastic. Lovely place in a leafy location in Burgh Heath . Easy to access as is on the A217 with is near the M25 and London. Ample parking, really comfortable, friendly. And food is absolutely delicious, great menu and well priced . I highly recommend! Superb carvery!

I was made to feel at home when I ate here. I am working away from home so having the waitress (long black hair) go the extra mile for me was very appreciated. Lovely steak too 🫶

Worst place to go for service Not the 1st time to be let down by this restaurant 1st was last year we booked a party of 30 for daughter's 2nd Birthday Party. We had family travelling from all over the country to celebrate called 2hrs before to add 2 extra people to booking only to told we don’t have the staff to cover the 30 let alone an extra 2 and you will have to wait a long for your food as we don’t have a preorder that we never asked you for when booking and we were made to feel it was our fault. Clearly poor service and lost business promised I’ll never return. Unfortunately my wife thought to book a 2.30pm carvery today to take her elderly parents out only to then get a call 1/2 an hour before saying they have runout of the carvery but we can order from the main menu wants the point we booked a carvery and it’s only 2pm. Absolutely shocking place will never return. Unfortunately if the head office don’t sort their act out you may as well close this place and sell the property to a business that cares for its customers. food is also average only ever came here because of location.

Great Brewers Fayre with tasty food and lovely staff. There are plenty of tables so you should always be able to get a spot. I was impressed by how good the food was for the price. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a cheap meal or somewhere to chill.

We visited Heathside first time in over a year.I personally found the place a bit drab,in need of a bit of paint and Tlc.The drinks machine was out of order.I ordered rump stake and chips the steak was extremely chewy.The sticky toffee pudding was fine I must add.An average review I am sorry to say.

Been a couple of times with family, food is not to bad to be fair, place is looking pretty run down. As for the staff its hit and miss, depends who is working. Some good some not so.

I was served on the bar by Holly, she was very kind, the service was quick, and the drinks were good. Would recommend!

I have been coming here once a month for the last couple of years as it’s convenient to meet friends when I’m working in London. The management here has changed in the last 6 months or so (I think) and Tasha the new manager is lovely, very customer focused and the place is a lot better organised and run than it was before.

Came in with the family, was a lovely place with reasonable pricing. Served by a wonderful lady called Holly, exceptional service and was extremely helpful with recommendations. Will be coming back!

Saturday night and they close at 2130 when there’s 50+ people in there, hilarious…

Utter shambles, food served up at different intervals. Some had main course while others waited for starters. Some staff appeared to have had a charisma bypass. Paying at bar for larger groups does not work. Brewers Fayre Heathside needs updating as decor was shabby. The best part was when we left!

We’ve popped in for a breakfast a few times now and have to say it’s amazing prices and a great selection of food. The staff are always friendly and efficient as is the manager Paul. We always look forward to going back.

Really happy with the service extended to us. Firstly they fitted 9 of us in at very short notice to which we were really grateful. Secondly, we were very impressed with the staff .. especially Michael who was extremely courteous & very helpful. We were made to feel welcome & felt very comfortable during our visit. Will defo be going back.

The team and Brewers Fayre - Heathside are very friendly, kind and accommodating. We hold a weekly meeting there and the breakfast has never been disappointing!

Stop here regularly for breakfast and always greeted with a smile. The Full English is perfect (altho the eggs can be overdone sometimes). Great!

Can’t thank the team enough for helping us put on a wedding reception at short notice. We transformed the function room! Had around 90 guests for an evening that it still talked about. update, its improved !!! food was available the whole time, for the 1st time in a year and a half. We will now return. below is my reviews from months ago, I used to use the loyalty, but after 3 attempts having zero points added, i gave up. I had visited this restaurant 3 times in 3 months and its getting worse. There were only 2 staff doing the front desk and table duties. however there were only 12 tables out of what looks like 25 available being used, so only half. The staff were trying their best, but they quite simply can't cope. Everything was going empty, sometimes up to 20 minutes, yoghurts, coffee beans, coffee waste, hot chocolate powder, eggs (both), bacon, sausages, orange juice, cranberry juice, and hot drinks are luke warm. the food is being put on a giant hot plate, why is 2 plates of each not put out and more being cooked while these are being eaten. do you need more staff, more training, more ovens, you tell me. But we for one will now not be returning anymore.

Had my daughters 5th birthday in the function room at the Heathside it was a perfect venue for it. I was able to go in early to decorate. The buffet was great quantity and quality for the price and the staff were amazing and helpful. Definitely recommend. Thank you Tash and Paul and the kitchen manager Jonny.

We came for breakfast as where staying in the Premier Inn next door. All you can eat full English and continental selections had plenty of choices, they where refreshing as soon as something was running out. Cannot fault it for the price, and upto 2 children eat free so £9.99 for 1 adult and 2 children is amazing value. Filled us up for the day anyway. Would definitely recommend and come back if staying local again.

Service can be slow and the foul language used by some of the customer is off putting. But it's an OK pub with a decent menu.

The “manager” on her night off was pissed , had almost nothing on , had drum and bass playing. Food was disgusting, the only positive was the premiere inn next door was ok . Can’t believe how bad this place is . Lots of families in here tonight raising eyebrows. Terrible 🤮👎🏻👎🏻

A once in a time favourite place of mine to visit but unfortunately I've witnessed it's up and down decline in the last couple of years or so such a shame. On my last visit witnessed a very poor carvery and was told the chef/cook couldn't do food from the menu as they were too busy. The restaurant wasn't even at quarter capacity. Shame as the bar staff were friendly

Absolutely loved my lasagna it was the best I’ve had. And my cousin had the chicken wing platter. So I give my compliments to Tony the chef.

Food was surprisingly very good, but like all brewers fayre places food is ordered at the bar, so wait your turn, I don't like to order at the bar! It was pretty empty for a Saturday night.

On yesterday's August Bank Holiday, we had organized a large family gathering at a different venue, involving four carloads of adults and children. Unfortunately, due to unexpected short staffing, that venue remained closed until 5 pm. In a bit of a predicament, we contacted The Heathside and spoke with the manager, Paul. Despite the short notice, Paul graciously accommodated our group. Our experience continued to be wonderful as we placed our order with Sophie, who showed exceptional patience given our large group and the fact that all our food was on a single order. The drinks machine was out of order, and Sophie handled refills with a cheerful smile, which was truly remarkable considering the size of our group. Tony, our chef, also made an appearance to ensure everything was in order before he started preparing our meals. The food that arrived was not only tasty, and well-presented, but it was also served hot and promptly. Regrettably, we didn't capture any photos of the food. We had 3 steaks on the order, all had different cooking preferences and Tony delivered without any flaws! Throughout our visit, the manager, Paul, was fully engaged in serving and maintaining the tables. He went above and beyond, readily answering our pre-order questions and effortlessly addressing any concerns we had. Even after placing our order, when a minor query arose, Paul tackled it with ease. During our entire time at The Heathside, it was the three exceptional staff members - Paul, Tony, and Sophie - who turned the situation around. Their efforts saved the day and made our family gathering experience truly memorable. They deserve all the credit for their outstanding service and hospitality.

Perfect for a quick bite to eat that won't break the bank. We were served by the most lovely lady called Shannon who made all the difference to our visit. Very friendly and accepting staff, which is important when visiting with a special needs child. Thank you

Stopped of here after a long day and and we were starving . Ordered and paid for our food at the bar waited over an hour for our starters so called waiter over, after going to find out where our food was he told us to reorder at the bar as it didn't go through. We cancelled the main meal. and just reordered our starters after another 20 minutes and still with no food we asked for a refund being told the system was playing up even tho customer that ordered before and after us were receiving their food fairly quickly. Waiting for the refund to go.back on our card.

Had to wait an hour for the meal, and after speaking to the manageress ended up waiting another 30mins, when the meal turned up it was less than poor. The staff have no idea about customer service and I would suggest they change jobs to a role that is not in customer service, or customer facing, There were a number of other customers who experienced the same poor service, not just me, I wouldn't even give 1 star for this visit but unfortunately cannot post without it.

Fast becoming a family favourite, lovely service and welcoming atmosphere from the staff. Food is great value (breakfast buffet) all replenished quickly and lots of variety. Very accommodating to big family groups. Will be going back!

Great food just the service let it down

We stopped in here because it’s local, I don’t know what was worst the service or the food. The barmaid takes the orders I was waiting at the bar for around 5 minutes in an empty bar when the barmaid turns up I was standing and watched her ignore me and text on her phone 1 mettle away for a further 2 minutes. she struggled to take my order, When the food turn’t up it was disgusting no flavour the Coleslaw tasted a week old it’s absolutely horrendous only positive thing to take from this visit is knowing not to return pictures are after we finished

Frequently eat here and normally they are good. Yesterday they were awful. Took forever to place order at bar, trying to take advantage of free kids meal and two adult meals for £11.99 before 6pm. Staff member seemed poorly trained and he had to seek help. Manager came to intervene. Nice chap. Order processed but first staff member had to be reminded about our drinks order. No bottled coke for one member of our party. Tried the syphon version and it was awful. Manager refunded cost of drink. One meal had mushy peas ordered and garden peas were served. Same meal was a steak but no steak knife provided. Second meal was customised but customised wrongly. Meal was replaced but not cooked up to usual standard we have had here before. Childs meal had issues as well, with hair on the food provided. Finished meals were not cleared away promply even though staff were coming to the table. Neighboring diner had his starter and main meal delivered at the same time, so we were not the only ones suffering. Evening was one we would like to forget. Manager was very obliging but it would be better if the waiting staff and chefs knew how to do their jobs.

Wanted the steak well done, they overcooked it. Food took ages You have to pay before ordering, and worst part is they don't tell you that... So you're seated waiting for somebody to come, not until you go asking then they tell you that. As if that's not enough, the food was overcharged, by that I mean, total of two meals on the menu wasn't the total deducted on my card. The food looked OK though, but we don't eat looks, do we?

Went last night with friends and had a good meal food was lovely and hot and the service was great, we went at 5pm so not to busy and got served quickly. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

I thought I’m gonna treat myself and my son and we went out to have a lunch. The pub is just 2 mins walk from where we live. We ordered the food, it was okay. We got our food I ordered Smothered chicken, I’m not sure if they were aware but the chicken was already dead. It was not necessary to cook it until it died twice. So dry! They were super cheap with the barbecue sauce. My son pasta was horrible. He is not a picky eater at all and after the second bite he said it’s not nice. I tried it and I could not eat it. We went to order a second round of drinks and no one was behind the bar. We waited like 5 mins when 5 gentleman came in and suddenly 2 waitress came out from the back. They went ahead and served the 5 guys and we were still waiting. The 2nd waitress ignored us and ‘pretended’ to be busy. Once we got our drink, the 2nd waitress served an other gentleman. I should have said something but that point I just wanted to show a good example to my son by being patient and wait for our turn. I had to ask for our dessert as well. When the waitress brought it out and took our plates, she wouldn’t even bother to ask if something was wrong with the food as we didn’t even touch the pasta. Altogether very disappointing experience. The wood was less than average. The service was less than okay. It was not a busy day, couple of tables.

Fantastic and amazing service from all staff, starting from morning till close. Made us all feel very welcome for our stay down here. Staff in morning are always happy and welcoming so great way to start the day. Night staff are always up for a good chat and can have a laugh after a hard day. Specially natasha, Charlie and abi, lovely people to be around. No complaints

On this particular day I visited they were very short staffed but it was quiet, so that was good. Food was beautiful!! They did take a while to clear plates but this was not a massive issue as there was a bit of room on the table still and there lack of staff was the cause of this. Lovely place to have lunch or dinner. Been here many times and would always return!!!

It's getting old and dated but the foods good value but at weekends there so short-staffed there was an hour wait for food and they actually stopped taking orders .

Rung up today to come for a Sunday roast was told roast is on and we don’t need to book a table. Took us 25 minutes from the call to get there and all of a sudden there was a water leak and no more carvery. Highly disappointed as I don’t believe the leak would have happened within of the 25 minutes of my journey as there was barely anything left and the chef wasn’t adding anymore. Building looks severely run down too. Would avoid unless you want to be disappointed

Amazing, friendly, helpful staff. Food on the other hand not so amazing. Cold, dry flavourless. If it wasn’t for getting the 2 meals for £10.99 I would of made a complaint but I guess you get what you pay for. Kids meals were much better apart from we missed out on there pudding as we weren’t told we had to order them at the same time as main, so wanted to charge us extra even though we had paid for the kid 3 course meal. Definitely won’t be going back to eat there unfortunately 😔

extremely slow service, was not busy, luke warm & cold food. lack of condiments, table we was given was still sticky and dirty, cutlery not very clean, glasses for drinks were not clean, cloudy looking. am defo not coming here again. Kives they use to carve the meat hang next to a bin, chef used blue roll tissue to clean surfaces, swept left over good onto the floor, no cleaning products used. Absolutely disgusting. very disappointed on my first visit especially on Mothers Day 😡😡

Food was nice but the wait for main course took three quarters of an hour and then the wait for dessert took over an hour.

I have visited this venue twice in the last month. The first time I was told I could not eat as I had not booked online. The second time I stood at the bar for ages, eventually I went into the kitchen where staff were chatting to request bar service. Standards have deteriorated

I don’t recommend to eat here, I’ve had dinner a sirloin stake and I’ve asked for medium rare, came blue! The waitress said will cook it another one for us, unlikely the kitchen was closed at 9:30pm even if they telling online or over the phone the kitchen is closing at 10pm. Also the service was unavailable bad, I’ve asked for a strawberry daiquiri and she couldn’t find it in the system, then she asked me “do you wanna come and find it?” Just to clarify it didn’t sound like a joke, her tone was rude! Worst experience ever!!

There was only one lady who had been there 5 days who was amazing and even served whilst she was on her break.The young man who was behind the bar didn't have a clue what he was doing and nearly over charged me and the lady I mentioned above had to come of her break to sort it out. The meal said coleslaw with it but there wasn't any and I was told there had not been any for a few weeks. I was not told this when I placed my order .I have stayed at the hotel 3 times .The first time the restaurant was good .... the second time it was closed due to staff shortage and this time short staffed and new staff .Please ensure that all staff are trained as its not fair for one person to be holding it altogether especially when she's only been there for 5 days.

Sunday Carvery 12.00 noon. Booked in advance. Not ready. No one at bar when they did turn up didn't know how or where to find/ make cocktail. No receipt given at til said its broken. Manager rocks up late when you raise your complaints states staffing issues. Funny said this a couple of months ago when we went. Food finally served at 12.30. Roast potatoes cold and oil soaked. Beef over cooked and burnt, not enjoying at all. Won't be going back and wouldn't recommend and still awaiting receipt.

Very slow, food cold and not fully cooked. All staff were new to the restaurant and no management to oversee the running. The longest serving member of staff on duty had only been there 2 weeks and the rest were on either their 2nd or 3rd shifts. We arrived at 6pm, it took 20 minutes to place the order as staff did not know the tills, food took a further 45 minutes and then kids desserts another hour after asking for them. All in all very disappointing.

Shocking .. Went here with a friend to have dinner . 1 all the ale draught was off so nothing to drink. 2 the starter and the main wernt cooked properly and stone cold, 3 the desert came out and went to the wrong table, instead of the occupants saying it was theirs they decided to keep it and have for themselves. Lost for words!!! The replacement deserts then took another 30mins to come.when questioned the staff couldn't answer why for any of the above. I don't think the staff on duty were to blame just very short staffed and not enough training 🤔. I ask to speak with a manager to no avail.
