I finally found a tasty and proper breakfast between Congresbury and Yatton, top 👌

Very nice place for coffee, the cakes looked good, man size slices 😋 and the menu looked good too.

The breakfast was overall nice, good portion size but the bacon was very salty and no black pudding or mushrooms even though I can see on previous customer's reviews that they used to be included - im guessing the price hasnt changed. Coffee was nice, but they don't do regular, only small or large. But, they didn't ask what I preferred, just started making a large. It was already made by the time I paid, so just accepted it as didn't want to make a fuss. Would've been nice to ask me what size I wanted before making it.

Food was ok, but got over charged according to the specials board.

Lovely place bussing with people. I had a ploughman's for lunch, which was great. Will go back as a really nice place to eat. Good food and nice staff.

We called in to Heather's Coffee Shop on a sunny Sunday morning for coffee and cakes. It was reasonably early, but there were already lots of customers. Although there was a short wait to be served, there was a large choice of seating available - inside and out. We chose to sit outside and were glad of the extensive covered shade provided. We enjoyed the refreshments. There is a big handy free car park only steps away, taking the path through either Mendip Conservatories or Congresbury Garden Centre.

Sunday breakfast, café quality at restaurant prices, ample amount but with limited selection/variation, and was quite surprised at having little serve yourself sachets of pepper, salt etc. especially when you're paying £15.00 for a full breakfast and cappachino, surely you can stretch to condiments on the table at that price?

Visited today - 16Jan - gorgeous all day breakfast and coffee, and cake for later ! Brilliant service and friendly, helpful staff- couldn’t ask for better! Will definitely visit again - and again- a real treat! Highly recommend this cafe - 100% amazing!! Thank you!

Heather’s is a nice clean venue, the food and beverages are all great. However, on my most recent visit I was shocked to be charged nearly £5 for a cup of hot chocolate. (The smaller cup is not worth having and not a lot less cost wise). My biggest gripe is that it was freezing in there. I regularly used to visit this establishment, but their costs have gone up considerably, and it was too cold in there to enjoy the experience.

I am compelled to write a review following our recent visit to Heather's Coffee Shop, a visit that was marked by a series of unfortunate and deeply dissatisfying experiences. We initially chose this café with the intention of supporting a local business. However, what we encountered was a series of disappointments that I feel must be shared with the community. Firstly, the quality of the food was shockingly poor. The Full English Breakfast I ordered was far from acceptable. The beans were served cold, devoid of any semblance of warmth. The egg, a crucial component of any breakfast, was undercooked, raising concerns not just about quality but also about food safety. The sausages seemed stale, as if they had been cooked several days prior and merely reheated for serving. The tomatoes, an easy item to get right, were also cold, further adding to the sense of disregard for basic culinary standards. As for the bacon, it was of such low quality that it detracted significantly from the overall dish. The only passable item was the bread, which was merely satisfactory. The latte was an utter let-down. It tasted so offensively bad that it was reminiscent of diesel. This was not the latte one would expect from any establishment professing to serve quality coffee. My suspicion that it might have been made with instant coffee granules only added to my dismay. This was not just a poorly made latte; it was a fundamental failure in delivering a basic coffee shop staple. The service compounded our negative experience. The staff members, who we interacted with, both at the counter and in the kitchen, displayed a level of disinterest and dismissiveness that was both shocking and unacceptable. Their attitude conveyed a sense that our presence and our basic requests were a nuisance. This was not just a failure in customer service; it felt like a complete disregard for the principles of hospitality. Moreover, the price we paid was exorbitant for the quality of food and service provided. To charge £12 for a breakfast of such poor quality and nearly £3 for a latte that was undrinkable is not just unreasonable; it's exploitative. This was particularly egregious given the café's suburban location, where one would reasonably expect more moderate pricing. In conclusion, our visit to Heather's Coffee Shop was a regrettable decision. We had hoped to enjoy a pleasant meal and support a local business, but instead, we were left feeling disrespected and undervalued. The lack of quality in both food and service, coupled with the unreasonable pricing, was disheartening. I urge the owner to take these criticisms seriously and address the evident issues in their establishment. As for potential customers, especially those with dietary restrictions or expectations of basic culinary competence, I strongly advise reconsidering a visit to this establishment.

A Regrettable Choice with Heather's Coffee Shop My husband and I chose Heather's Coffee Shop in an effort to support local businesses. Unfortunately, this decision led to one of the most distressing and disrespectful dining experiences I've ever had. As a pregnant woman with specific dietary needs, the treatment and service I received were appalling. When I inquired about egg-free options, due to a serious intolerance, the staff's response was not just unhelpful but blatantly rude: "nothing." There was no attempt to offer alternatives or to accommodate my dietary restrictions. This indifference to a customer's health need is not just poor service; it's a severe lack of professional responsibility and empathy. The situation worsened when we ordered their 'Soup of the Day', assuming it to be a safe option. To our dismay, the soup was not freshly made but a pre-packaged mix containing egg. The staff, showing a complete lack of due diligence, failed to check this until we pressed them. Upon realizing the mistake, they offered no solution, apology, or even the slightest hint of concern. We reluctantly ordered a toasted baguette, which turned out to be another disappointment. Paying £26 for such an experience was not just a financial waste but also an emotional ordeal. The quality of food was atrocious, and the latte was undrinkable. What's worse is the utter disregard for customer care and health concerns. I am astounded by the level of incompetence and insensitivity displayed at Heather's Coffee Shop. It's a disservice to the community and a slap in the face to those trying to support local businesses. I strongly urge others, especially those with special dietary needs, to avoid this establishment at all costs.

Had a good bacon sandwich and a coffee, the noise level in the cafe was excessive, and it was difficult to hear the conversation acros a small table.

What has happened to Heathers - disappointing. Customer wiping own table with tissue before sitting down. Food - bct - roll not toasted; cheese not melted and tomato barely warm; at least the bacon was cooked. Perhaps the cook should take some lessons Sorry - it used to be such a good eatery - will not be returning.

Excellent breakfast, pleasant calm surroundings although I think people who visit with their dogs should be asked to keep them off the tables( should be obvious to the dog owners.)Very nice relaxed atmosphere. Garden centre has a good selection of different plants at excellent prices

Great place nice coffee and food

Food is basic snacks, sandwiches, jacket potatoes etc. Nothing for vegans. This place is not expensive and fine of its type.

Met a friend for lunch and we both decided to order sandwiches. I ordered egg mayonnaise only to be told that was sold out. The alternative was cheese. Both listed on the menu for £5.75. I was asked if I wanted something with the cheese i.e. tomato or cucumber. I chose the latter and was told the cost would be £7.25 - an extra £1.50 for a couple of slices of cucumber appears extortionate, particularly when the sandwich arrived minus the cucumber! The plate was removed and hurriedly returned with thin slices of cucumber in each triangle. The plate was still minus coleslaw but couldn’t be bothered to enquire - probably sold out!

Price too high for the quality of food and drink offered. With Cadbury Garden centre doing much better food and drink next door I'm surprised they get much business. Latte far too hot took 15 minutes to cool down massive quantity of milk tasted awful I'd rather have a Nescafe latte sachet. The lady making the drink in front of us at the counter clearly thinks pouring scalding hot milk into a cup with espresso is a latte. The banquette I ordered was weighted down by so much cheese it had separate the two halves ended up like a pizza minus the tomato. Cobwebs on the ceiling and aircon unit. Dated throughout looked like they had opened a cafe in an old dusty conservatory plus cheap furniture. My partners toastie was average neither of us drank our lattes we went next door for coffee. The only positive is the staff were friendly and polite. No flat white offered on the menu. Didn't try cakes and desserts.

First visit to heather's and we must say we enjoyed our breakfast very much, will certainly go again 👍👍

First time trying this place... food tastes cheap. Beans cold , latte not drinkable and most of all service awful. The most unwelcoming place with a depressing atmosphere. When arrived the manager couldn’t even bring her self to say morning and give us a smile, won’t go here again.

Went in for our sons birthday breakfast treat arrived mid morning, to find only the full English was on offer due to staff shortages however this was not a problem for us. Friendly service when ordering, good portion size good quality food. Also able to sit outside some of the area us covered.

Visit quite often, but last time with a friend who is Celiac.She asked the chef could he tell her if the bread for her toast would be safe.He couldn't guarantee her it would be 100%,Gluten free or not be cross contaminated.So she didn't eat,just had coffee.Very disappointed.Maybe have a separate kitchen area and utensils ect for the Celiac customers. Will go straight to Cadbury nxt time

Charming place for a relaxing drink and snack. The cake options are varied and are generous portions. We opted for a cheese and tuna and cheese and veggie sausage toasted baguette. Both were excellent. Will be visiting again very soon.

Great little cafe, we had coffee and cake. The carrot cake was delicious. They have good selection of cakes and also do breakfasts, sandwiches and jackets. They were busy when we there with a 30 min wait for meals. But people didn't kind as those that came out looked good.

Staff are lovely. Fabulous place. The only downside is the bacon & sausage seemed that it wasn't freshly cooked and the egg white was a little raw around the yolk. It still tasted great so haven't been put off. Also you get a great portion size for what your spending. Dog friendly in outdoor section 🐕‍🦺

We love coming to heathers. Their custard slices are a big favourite and certainly a must try. The staff are always lovely and the patio is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a bite to eat.

Awful customer service, the coffee was cold so was the hot chocolate. When the food arrived the egg was not cooked, paid 9 pound for 1 bacon, 1 sausage and some beans. Was not impressed at all. Used to be lovely here nut gone down hill. Don't think we will be visiting again.

We went to this place for breakfast, it wasn't very busy, I ordered 2 small breakfast, that is one sausage one bacon one fried egg toast baked beans and hasbrown,, we waited around 20 minutes breakfast arrived sausege was brunt and hard bacon was tasted like bad oil, and as if it was fried few hours ago and looked like it was reheated, beans was cold the only thing that was freshly made was fried eggs I asked if sausage can be changed, yes they quickly changed it for another one exactly the same. tea was tasted cheap, we paid £14 +,,, not a good value for money at all.. ,, I wont go there again..

Really enjoyed the fresh chelsea bun and a pot of tea. Will go back again. Also visited the garden centre next door. It has a very nice selection of plants etc.

Driving down the A370, fancied a decent mug of cafe latte. Seen several recommendations on Facebook so thought we would give it a try. Strolled through the garden centre, got a table in the shade. Went in, ordered two large lattes with two toasted teacakes with jam. Quick service, reasonably priced, cakes looked great but only fancied teacakes. All great, even had second mug of coffee. Will definitely return.

The friendliest coffee shop it the west. Their food is delicious, especially their cakes. Great prices. A perfect stop off if your on the A370 between Bristol and Weston. Two garden centres next door including the massive Cadbury Garden Centre and the North Somerset Bird of Prey Centre, that have open days and bookable experiences thought the year, right next to the coffee shop. Highly recommended! 👍👌
