Fantastic find. Very friendly service, good menu choice, quick service, very good value, clean toilets, feeling that they really wanted you to enjoy being there, all too rare these days. Many regulars, a good sign

The food is great standard breakfast meals. The service is nice, hard working, and genuine. The prices probably can’t be beat. The inside is spacious and nice and there is parking!

Heather & her staff are very welcoming & so prompt. Excellent array of foods & cooked perfectly. The cafe is always spotlessly clean & the restrooms too. We try & visit every Saturday as we are guaranteed such a lovely welcoming & meal & not forgetting the lovely coffees that are served. Highly recommend

This is a fairly regular stop because I live the French toast. It comes with bacon and maple syrup or for veggies like me just maple syrup. Always good and always friendly welcome too.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch while on the road, was really impressed by the friendly staff and delicious food. Great prices too! The Lorne roll was great and sorted me out for the long drive ahead. About 50 miles later I wish I'd bought 2.

Heather's Cafe is so much more than a café. We have just come back from an amazing break in Inverness. We were looking for somewhere for a good to start the day and the reviews for Heather's were good so we thought we would give it a go. Amazing! The menu is big with something for everyone and it set us up for the day. The cafe is fantastic and became our local for the week. The people of Inverness are so friendly and the postmen are the best! They treated us to our breakfast on our last morning, and Heather even gave me a little present when I left. I will never forget our lovely holiday and how special it was made by the staff and the customers of Heather's Cafe.

We popped in here for breakfast while we waited for the breakdown people to fix our motorhome. The breakfast was delicious and the owner and staff so helpful. Returned a week later to have another tasty breakfast. Thank you Heather’s Cafe. See you next year!

Heather has improved this cafe a lot. I love the chilli and Baked Potato and the bacon rolls. It's next Door to Harry Gows Bakery and City Mobility on the way to H.I.S if you need directions.

Your restaurant came highly recommended and the food and wine was absolutely superb. Unfortunately this is where the great experience ended as we have never been made to feel so uncomfortable in a restaurant by the people serving us, to the point that we couldn't wait to pay the bill and leave! We were the first table in the evening at 5pm and were seated right by the bar but we struggled to get eye contact with the staff who were either chatting behind the bar or staring into space. At no point did they ask us if everything was ok or if we wanted another drink. We tried to engage them in some chatter when they served us but to no avail. I don't know if in someway we offended them but we really could not work out what we had done wrong to be treated this way. Unfortunately we will not be returning, which is a shame as the food is excellent. Fortunately our evening was not completely spoiled as a visit to the local community centre in Nairn found us invited to a Ceilidh and a very warm welcome and fun evening.

Agree with the other reviews. This is an unlikely place to find at the end of the world. We felt welcomed and in the main enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the cost for the 2 of us. £200 for a snack, breakfast, plate of curry and a bunkhouse bed with no shower and a outside toilet seemed breathtaking expensive. To put this into perspective, we go to a nice hotel each year for a winter break, that's more than we pay per day at the hotel with vastly more civilized amenities. I do understand there are logistics involved at Cape wrath. However for an 'ordinary' local Scottish person I'd be looking to stay at sandwood bay and make a lunch trip to the cafe as I simply can't justify the cost/value. However, it is altogether improbably situated and a must experience if you are doing a long walk. Just be prepae your expectations.

We stayed at Taigh Ailean for our trip to Skye. We also had the opportunity to eat dinner there (Breakfast was included with our stay.) The dinner was so delicious! The view is lovely as you can see the loch from the windows of the bar. All the staff is fantastic and so friendly! I had a great dinner and I would describe it, but the menu changes to suit what is in season and available from the sea. Whatever you get, I guarantee it will be the best! Make sure you call ahead and get a reservation as it fills up quickly. I know that they also have live music, which would be great, but we didn't have any while we were there.

Stopped in for lunch. It was full, but a table became available quickly. Had a very nice gluten free cheese toastie. Hubby had a salad and a side of chips with a black coffee that he said was excellent. I asked for a slice of their gluten free cappuccino cake to take away, and it was moist and delicious. There were more gluten free cakes to choose from. It's a nice wee café and the staff were very friendly and helpful and we'll be back. There is on-street parking and also a car park further along the road. On a nice day it would be lovely to sit at the outside tables and enjoy the view.
