The fish and chips are excellent,

Had fish and chips fish was ok chips looked like and tasted like boied potatoes in oil

Nice chips but unfortunately we received tastless soggy fried haddock that felt like it was sat there most of the day

Lovely clean honest food , great lads who serve and own it i travel from Warwick when i fancy some proper chip shop food 10/10

I tried all the chip shops in the area when I first moved here & this is by far the best. Been a Regular Customer for 7 years now, in that time I have tried everything on the menu & have never had a bad experience. Staff are friendly & food is always good I wouldn't contemplate going anywhere else.

Great haddock and chips! Tasty thin & crispy batter over a large perfectly cooked piece of fish with loads of chips... Scrumptious!

Totally disappointed with this placed 😔😔😔😔 The chips were so so soggy the cod was so so under cooked totally undesirable and my hubby's doner kebab was so so under cooked the meat was so pale and just tasted raw totally disgusting can't believe how they can serve food like this and not even cheap!!!!!! Totally disgusting never will return and will tell everyone about our experience 😔😔😔😔😡😡😡😡😡😡 Total rip off for it to go in the bin!!!!!

This is one of my local chip shops and it gets used by us on a regular basis. They do a large range of hot takeaway food and the chips etc are always cooked fresh so you'll be happy to know that your food will be nice and hot. The staff have always been very warm and friendly, there's no sit down available as it's a chip shop and not a restaurant. There's parking just outside so that shouldn't be a problem for you.

Best fish and chips i've had in a long time. Fish was cooked fresh on arrival and the chips were spot on. What more do i need to say.

The onion were a disappointing all batter very little onion inside.

We live locally to this chippy and have honestly never had a bad meal from there. We had a few portions of their Fish, Chips & Battered Sausage Friday and they were great. Taste great and good portion sizes. Love the ring and collect option too.

Had to use this chippy as my usual was closed and I have to say I might just have to male the switch permanently!!! Only down side is prices are a tad higher but is the quality worth the price, I'll leave that for you to decide!!!

So this is Haddock and chips, my husband has been here twice before and has been excellent. So what has changed, he’s just returned with this,completely inedible. Fish skin and batter minus fish and with scrap ends of chips. Nearly £20.00 for the 2 of us, we won’t be returning.

I had haddock chips and curry sauce it tasted disgusting soggy chips soggy fish which was definitely not Haddock and had to pay cash in the middle of a pandemic they have tried to introduce contactlass payment they must have something to hide

Brilliant chippy... staff are more than efficient and tend to be very helpful may have to wait but fresher the better as the saying goes and defo worth the wait every time

"Just waiting on chips" is their favourite catchphrase. Cash only at the moment which is a bit annoying but otherwise a very nice chippy. Good selection on the menu.

I can honestly say, this is one of the best traditional fish and chip shops I have eaten from. Due to my occupation I eat out a lot and Im always looking for that wholesome experience. I can honestly say, everytime I've ordered from here, I've never been disappointed. The effort they put into their food is the same as the effort I try and put into my own cooking.

Chips are nice. As I lived in brum I find their prices are expensive for what you get but as the saying goes you pay for quality and you certainly getting that. Great customer friendly service that makes it great. Parking is OK there too

I’ve never reviewed a chippy before, but having had a pukka chicken pie with chips and curry sauce for just £3.80, I thought I had to! Anyway, it was all hot, the pie was enormous and in total very enjoyable What was also nice to see was the elderly gent in front of me being served. He didn’t see very well and when he received his food he just emptied his purse on the counter! The young man serving dutifully took the right change and returned the rest. And it was all done with a big smile. Enjoyed my lunch (£3.80 BARGAINTASTIC) Loved the friendly service. Hence the review. 👍👍

This is my local so I always get my chippy from here, I enjoy the food however I wouldn't say it's all the best. Their kebabs are amazing and the battered halloumi, the burgers are really good too however I personally do think it's very expensive. (But then again most chippys are these days) sometimes they're really friendly other times not so much. Also if its busy you'll wait a long time depending on what you order.

For a Friday night would have expected the large cod to be ready and not have to wait at 18.00. 8 people waiting for cod???Decided to take small cod . The fish is good but the wait is not, especially when you have to stand for 15 mins.

I used deliveroo for a family order Just ordered a large meal for 10, over £50. 1) Fish soaked in vinegar straight into bin 2) Chips, so stale they were like cardboard – straight into bin 3) Mushy peas so runny they could have been drunk with a straw – bin 4) Small battered fish, no fish all batter – bin 5) Pie was ok 6) Kebab – stale but passable Ended up taking the whole family out to macdonalds in an attempt to rescue the situation. Tried providing feedback – no mechanism. Closing my deliveroo account and sharing on social media.

We've used this fish and chip shop a few times. It's very popular and busy most times. Considering the prices, the portions are small and the quality of the fish no more than average.

I ordered a large cod with chips. I was shocked to see that the "large" cod that I was given was absolutely tiny. I have seen larger Mini Cod. I asked the man who served me "is this really a large Cod?" And he replied yes. I then asked him, "if this is a large cod, how big is your mini cod?" He indicated using his hands that the mini cod is what appeared to be the size of a fish finger. I was even more disgusted to find that one of the bosses of the chip shop was standing immediately behind the guy who served me and he never intervened or made any effort to rectify the situation. In the end, I ended up paying £5.10 for the pathetic sized "large" cod! Also, when I got home I realised that a good portion of the tiny fish was just batter and no fish. I will never be going there again which is a shame because I am so local, and will instead stick to my regular chippy Pete's Plaice in Sydenham which is brilliant.

Fantastic fish and chips, always good, the menu is extensive from sausage to kebabs. I can recommend the chicken tikka meat. The portion was absolutely huge and enjoyable.

Staff and owners don't always make you welcome but service is good,clean shop , if you regularly go I'm sure would it would be different,if I'm having fish n chips it's the onl chippy I'll go to,it quality if that what your looking for it's the place.

Threw mine in the bin. the chips were undercooked, the BIG fish was barely worth having and the batter was horrible. Won't be wasting my £10 there again

We've been getting our (usually weekly) fish and chips takeaways here for years. We generally go on a weekday evening (not Friday). Occasionally there is a wait, but it's usually ready or prompt. In any case, it is worth waiting for!

Staff have an UG! Style attitude. Unable to give you what you ordered, chips only just cooked with a tiny amount of vinegar. Fish had a very small amount of batter on one side. ( you can see the fish skin) other side soggy. Not impressed and after having 5 meals from here and non being much good we will be giving this place a miss from now on. I suggest you do the same.

Chips on the verge of being raw asked for lots of salt and vinegar completely ignored me could not taste it at all would not of minded if the chips where nice. Miss had fish with the tightest amount of batter I have ever seen and tasted disgusting seems like the owner is more interested in penny pinching than giving his customers what they want will never be going there again

Absolutely discussing! raw chips , watery vinegar ( if Thier even was any) lack of oragation skills, ( keept forgetting a simple order) very poor quality food. I'm sorry to say that they have lost a customer.

Great chip shop, just moved in to the area and you may have to wait for a few mins as it's always busy but that's because the food is great. Fresh fish and the best chips in the area.

Every time I go they take the order then say there just coming out - it's not worth the wait and let's be honest who doesn't have chips ready to serve at 6 on a Friday

we have our fish and chips and kebabs from here all the time,the staff are very friendly and pleasant, portions are excellent the place is very clean and as we travel a distance to buy from them they always give us extra wrapping to keep our food warm. highly recommend
