First time visiting and what a lovely place the dinner area was very cozy staff friendly and food was really good we had a full English breakfast, we found the price to be pretty standard for what we had, as it's a nursery we also had a walk around and bought so plants too, prices actually cheaper than most and a good selection too, we would definitely recommend Heath house farm and will be going back again.

Myself and friends regularly meet here various times of the day ,not able to book a table. But if there is 5 or more you can book a table we av always been lucky and managed to get a table and if not 1 available the lovely ladies at the front counter will advise on waiting time and add you to their list and then give u a shout Wen the table becomes available, we av never waited more than 10 mins. The ladies who see to you are all very pleasant, happy and polite take your orde and bring out beverages out quickly. The menu is a good and reasonably priced menu all is fresh and cooked in the spotlessly clean kitchen by very good chef's . Never had a problem with any meal or sandwiches the cakes all look delicious but never tried them yet . Coffee is good only criticism for me is I would like it hotter but personal preference. Well worth a visit these gift shop is lovely to pick up something different or just a look. Garden centre is well worth a walk around

Visited Heath House Farm with my elderly parents, one who is a wheelchair user. There is parking outside and level access to get into the building. The usual policy is that you can't book tables in advance for small groups however they do allow you to ring in advance and book if you are a wheelchair user. The cafe is a lovely area however would be difficult to get through at busy times, thats why they want to make sure you get an accessible table. The staff we came into contact with were all so helpful and pleasant. The cakes looked amazing and all of the meals we had were generous portions and tasty. It is clearly a popular place and it is obvious why. There is a lovely little gift shop next to the cafe and fully accessible disabled toilet at the end of the shop. They sell afternoon tea vouchers for the cafe in the gift shop, the afternoon tea does have to be booked in advance but i have been told by another friend that these are also amazing! I will visit again and have recommended the location to others since. I also purchased some afternoon tea vouchers as Birthday gifts!

We decided to arrange an Afternoon Tea for a few friends, and things got a little out of hand and we ended up with 41 guests! All the food was freshly prepared and lovely. Service was excellent. Efficient and friendly. Everyone said how much they enjoyed their food. A big thank you to Mary and all the team.

This review is not about the food as we did not manage to get that far! We rang on the Friday and asked to book a table. We were told only 5 or more can book, and just “take your chance calling by” i then asked Are you very busy today Fri or over the weekend? Again being told”call in and take a chance! We did this Sat to be told sorry we are fully booked. Now having asked the question on Friday about bring full were we not told about being fully booked all weekend! Would have saved us a journey!

Went for breakfast after hearing good reviews about it: Pleasant surroundings, staff in the tea room where ok, the person in the shop looked bored and never once smiled. Now to the breakfast, when it eventually arrived, (and we were the only two in there) Over cooked bacon and even though it said fried mushrooms, they were tinned and bland. Eggs were over fried, sausage was nice. Now to the poached eggs on toast. Even though I had asked for “runny” yolks, they were hard. But the worst was wet toast! They had obviously not bothered to drain them when taken out of the pan. When eating out is now a treat due to soaring costs, we will not be back. Shame as we had been looking forward to a nice start to the day.

For my 60th Birthday weekend celebrations I wanted a local location to enjoy some fun activities provided by activeaardvark.com (Archery, axe throwing etc..) Heath House Farm was suggested by Rob from Aardvark. I am so glad he did. The private room was perfect, the buffet lunch was plentiful and tasty. - especially the cakes !! But what really made the day was the staff.. there friendly, happy can do attitude made the day. Even when we had to change the timetable of the day slightly, it was simply not a problem. I know Chris was the face of that team, but thank you to all those people behind her especially the hard working kitchen staff. Thank you 😁😁

On previous visits we’ve always had a nice meal, so we booked for Sunday lunch for six people while we had relatives visiting. It was disappointing. We were in the second sitting, and they were running out of items (e.g. there was only one meat pie left). The Sunday menu is limited, and the single veggie option – a nut roast – was bland and awful. Neither of us who ordered it ate much. We waited a long time for our mains, and they weren’t hot when they came. The desserts were also disappointing and swamped in custard that looked like it had been sitting around for a while before being reheated. We also felt abandoned by the serving staff, e.g. no one came to ask if we wanted more drinks, and we had to try to flag someone down. I have offered this feedback to the restaurant, but have had no response. Maybe they were having an off day, but based on this experience, I won’t be rushing back.

Heath House Farm is a lovely, tranquil, picturesque countryside garden centre and tea room. I visited there today for a Father's Day breakfast with my Dad on this sunny, summer morning. The service by the staff was efficient with a polite, friendly smile in a comfortable environment.Onto the food... I had the vegetarian cooked breakfast, which I'm pleased they offered on their menu. The portion size was good and it was largely cooked well. However, the vegetarian sausage was extremely well done at both ends to the point where I gave up trying to cut it and I found three hairs in my food(!!!). One hair is bad enough, let alone three. I didn't complain as I didn't want to ruin our Father's Day breakfast, but I can't be alone in finding this totally unacceptable. I'm disappointed as we used to take my Nan here before she passed away and she enjoyed it. I can't say I'll go here for food again as I've been completely put off.

We call in from time to time to peruse the farm shop and have drinks. The drinks are good and reasonably priced although the food appears a little expensive, particularly given the low priced high quality food available locally. There is now a customer loyalty scheme in operation which makes the prices that little bit more competitive. The staff are very friendly and helpful and whilst all farm shops of this nature tend to be pricy, there are always price reduction and bargains to be had.Worth a try if only to enjoy the views and a pleasant stroll around the garden centre..

An old favourite but such a reliable one. It is just a couple of miles or so from me but convenience is not the reason. The food is. I often take the home made steak pie with chips and veg - just lovely and though available, you really do not need a desert.

The lunchtime menu will suit most people from a sandwich, main meals and sweets. The cakes are something special.Great value for money and very friendly staff. The shop is well stocked for the unusual present. Search and you will find. The garden centre is also woth a visit.

I'm so annoyed that I've lived less than a mile from this place and have only just visited! So annoyed. I've been missing out. My husband an I called in for a late lunch today. Luckily before the 3pm hot food cut off. We had the steak pie and chips. Really nice home cooked food and the cakes looked to die for but there wasn't any room left to eat any more. Great service and great food. Brilliant.

We have been eating out at Heath House once or twice a week for over 2 years and easily spend £100 - £150 per month on meals, bedding plants and shrubs etc.I am a retired professional gardener.About a month ago I bought an azeala to fill a space in a border where a fir tree had been removed. The bush died so I took it back, only to be told by the blonde assistant that I hadnt watered it.I felt insulted by her attitude and asked to see the boss.If this is how to treat customers.I am afraid that their knowledge of plants etc from other experiences leave much to be desired. The restaurant is excellent with delicious food, but todays experience with an extremely rude employer means that they have lost my future custom.

Just walked in for lunch 1.6.16, my was it busy, we managed to get a table for two, great. We were attended to almost immediately, given menus and asked if we would like a drink, we ordered a lovely glass of white and red wine each, our meal was delivered to our table within 15 minutes of sitting down (very good considering it was really busy), our meals were delicious, my cousin had the salmon dinner & I had sausage egg & chips, both very tasty, enough veg & pots for my cousin, we were sadly too full for the delicious looking desserts! All in all a very pleasant experience, my cousin was impressed. 5* Definitely book for larger parties & Sunday lunches, better now they have a drinks licence.

This is my second visit to Heath House Farm the previous being over 1 year ago. From the last experience we remembered this place as we commuted from Wales through Staffordshire, we decided to pop in for late breakfast (which we were informed at the weekend, was served throughout the day!) this was excellent and music to our ears.Again we were given a very warm welcome by the owner and shown to our seats by the pleasant waitress in the atmospheric tearoom. After drinks were served, we were asked for our order. My partner ordered the oakcakes to her preference and I ordered a Heath House Farm Breakfast. Both were outstanding and very enjoyable. We then opted for some of the delicious home made cakes with fresh coffee to finish off as we were stuffed and set for our journey ahead. We asked for the bill and were surprised how reasonable our sitting was, especially as this is a tea room off the beaten path with local fresh and homemade produce, all of which is cooked in view! In defence to a review which points out a 'pricey menu' perhaps the town centre greasy spoon is a better option. From my last visit and chatting to staff, this place is a champion at driving local and sustainable products with an excellent quality of food and service. This was emphasised further by a farmer delivering eggs for the day. A credit to the local economy. Before heading on our way we visited the greenhouses for a wander around then set off. Hopefully to visit soon again on our way home - this time for a steak pie!

Great little place to drop by as the hail stone bounce off the bonnet !!! extensive selection of plants and the shop has some interesting giftware..but the main reason has got to be a lovely cup of tea and scrummy home made Scones and Cakes all served by friendly staffs in smart surroundings.Dont just take my word for it try it they do lunches as well

Lovely venue, very welcoming and accomodating. Rocky Road exceptional, could be smaller and cost less. This is an extra word.

What a lovely surprise this turned out to be. The staff greeted us warmly, the Bistro had a lovely calming ambiance and the food was freshly made on the premises. We had a very pleasant few hours and will definitely return to enjoy the other delights on the menu, at very reasonable prices. Fish and chips Friday is first on our hit list!!
