Me and my friend popped in while we were visiting Devizes, can't remember what for now, and I ended up buying some small stones for my mum (agate, tiger's eye, that sort of thing) and as I checked out they asked if I wanted a chocolate brownie for half price (£1) as it was late afternoon and they wanted to sell them. We said said yes and got one each which was a mistake as they were the size of my head and probably contained thousands of calories, Still ate them all. Very tasty. The shop - they sell wraps and sandwiches to take away, so not a restaurant - is full of really good eco friendly stuff - you can bring your own containers for herbs and grains, etc (And I think oils, vinegars?). They also sell organic tinned produce and chocolate and also have some craft eco soaps and things like that. I was visiting from Shropshire so wasn't looking to buy groceries, although if I lived locally I'm sure I'd be in weekly. The shop was fairly busy, which is always a good sign, although the shop is on the small side they have crammed a lot in. The owner was really friendly and chatty, always good when people take customer service seriously. This is mainly a shop, not a restaurant, but can't see a way to change that. Maybe the owners should claim this page and fix that? A probably add a more appropriate photo.

Jumbo oats, delicious muesli, and organic peanuts, bit of an odd mix but they had them! Thank you once again for being open and welcoming.

Great little shop on Little Britox in Devizes - Staff always on hand to help. This shop has a good selection of Self-Serve products (including herbs and spices) bring your own container and the staff will fill it for you to the exact weight you need, so there is no waste. Great if you are on holiday, maybe on the the Kennet and Avon Canal, or if you are catering for one.

Healthy Living is an independent shop thats been around for a long time and is worth supporting. It stocks the usual range of whole foods reasonably priced and staffed by friendly peeps.

Mercer's is a great cafe in the up-market town of Marlborough. My friends and I visit several times a year on our bikes and we always get a warm welcome. The food and service is always perfect. But I have a tale to tell! I arrived with my friends and ordered beans and scrambled eggs on toast. When the lady came to serve our coffees she asked if I would like my bread gluten fee, "as usual". I had completely forgotten to mention this and would have been etremely sick a few hours later had I eaten non-gluten-free bread. I will be eternally grateful! What service!! Thank you!

I'd say this is probably vying with Dan's for the best place to eat in Marlborough. We had our Valentine's dinner here and whole experience was just superb. It's a very characterful pub with lots of dining rooms feeding off the main entrance, so a great mix of busy/bustling, cosy and yet still intimate. They've just got a new chef but considering it was his first night running the kitchen you'd never know, all our food was perfectly cooked and very well presented. Great to see them employing some younger people for serving, some of them clearly still learning but all with a great "customer-centric" attitude. Finally the bill was half the price of somewhere like Rick Stein's. Couldn't really fault it at all.
