Plenty of outdoor seating in a pleasant location even though its situated next to a (minor) road. Staff were friendly and ham and cheese toastie was lovely although the side salad was a little small. Plenty of cakes on show inside but they don't offer...

Had 4 coffees, 2 toasted sandwiches, a pork pie with chutney and a fruit scone for just over £20. The advertised chutney with the pie and in one of the toasties was very much like Branston Pickle for me and not therefore a chutney. The...

Fantastic meal, service and setting. The hotel is wonderful in absolutely beautiful grounds. The food was excellent and the service second to none. Thoroughly recommend it.

We went here last year and made a point of going back this year. I had ham salad, followed by carrot and walnut cake, both of which were delicious. The staff were friendly and the dogs welcome.

£8 for 2 x cream tea's. The fruit scones were very poor, the rasins were tiny, homemade?? then the cook is clueless, served with 'value' jam which had no flavour nor was there any sign of fruit. It was made with cheap whipped cream served straight...

Popped in today after stumbling across a 1940's weekend event! After a walk around the great railway station where you can see the steam trains, we decided to try the "Grosmont Tart" A local speciality? No, just a sponge cake with lemon curd in and...

Definitely the worst coffee ever. Tasteless and cold, even after complaining it didn't make any difference. Advertise special coffees but they are all made with filtered coffee. I wouldn't mind, but they charge proper coffee prices. The furniture outside has seen better days and the...

There are many teashops to choose from in Grosmont but we chose this one because with a two and a half year old grandson the garden was attractive; and so it proved. Fortunately we enjoyed our between trains lunch too. The pork pies and quiches...

Called in for fish and chips to share - £10. Opened the box to find the fish in three pieces. Rancid oil taste to both fish and hard chips. Truly the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten.

This is a handy place to eat when visiting Whitby Abbey especially after climbing up the steps. Decent number of tables inside and out. It can get busy and likely there may be a queue. It is part of the Youth Hostel and serves a variety of hot and cold drinks, cakes as well as larger meal options. We all had paninis which were nice enough and the side order of chips were nice. Nothing spectacular but it filled a gap well and with nice views.

Use this pub regularly drinks at good price food reasonable for this type of pub. Comfortable surroundings, not the best weatherspoons compared to many others. Come here regularly could do with more staff.

The cat's pyjamas? Dog's dinner more like. After initially nearly leaving due to the horrible atmosphere we settled and ordered a breakfast and avocado and halloumi on toast with two coffees. Our drinks arrived quickly but the food mustve taken about 45 minutes to come, with no acknowledgement of the long wait. It wasnt particularly busy. When the food arrived it was awful. The breakfast was greasy and badly cooked and I couldnt finish it. The avocado and halloumi on toast was literally a few slices of avocado and overcooked halloumi, on the side of some burnt toast. Dont bother, there are far nicer places in Scarborough.
