Hayling Chinese Restaurant in Havant

I guess the cook had a bad day. I try not to throw away food, but the duck dishes and soup were downright disgusting. I don't recommend it

Absolutely great. Food- fabulous Service - fabulous. Staying at mill rythe holiday park and they delivered straight to the accommodation...not reception.

From the outside I wasn't expecting much but the location was convenient. We got upsold.....not by the business but by a regular with a recommendation of the large pancake roll. 😂 He wasn't wrong though, the Pancake roll was one of the better ones had on recent years. The lady working there was friendly and helpful. The establishment was clean. The food was good. I didn't rate the satay sauce if I'm honest but that is often personal preference (I prefer a thick sweet version, whereas this was a thinner almost curry sauce version) Sweet & Sour sauce was good. Ribs in Cantonese sauce was a real winner as well. I would definitely go back and would recommend.

I totally agree with last review, absolutely tasteless, all four of our meals were bland and greasy. I do know my Chinese was married to one!!!

I don't know who wrote the other reviews but they are lying or have no taste buds. This was the worst Chinese I've ever had the ribs were terrible the chow main was bland and flavourless and half the size I get in my local for the same price I couldn't eat it it was that bad and I'm hungry 😒

Order 2 lots of chips. Cost £5 and was 2 tiny bags of frozen chips you get from the supermarket. They seemed hard and not very nice

On holiday here we used to have a great Chinese in London for the last 20 years but it has closed down now but we can not find one there that done special chow main until today we've just had the best ever special chow main here in hayling island wish we could order it from London thanks very much so everybody who likes Chinese get down there Now

Best Chinese on Hayling, in my humble opinion.

Always enjoy our taka ways from Hayling Chinese. Food tasty, hot and good quality. Staff always friendly. Prices fare. Never had a bad meal. Highly recommend

Ordered for 15 people. I asked for it to be delivered at 7 pm. It was delivered bang on time. The food was lovely. Highly recommended.

50/50 I'd say on food here. Somethings we ordered we enjoyed. Beef Curry, Capital Ribs. But the Young chow fried Rice and crispy chilli chicken not so good. Did request no prawns due to allergies. But received with prawns in it still, Cant say i found the Portion size great value for money either. Very small containers holding half the amount I'd receive from chinese takeaways in my local area.

I had a vegetable chow mein with curry sauce and prawn crackers and it was lovely! my partner had sweet and sour chicken balls which he said were perfect, the chips he had with it were a bit dry inside but I did tell him potatoes are not very good at the moment and to have the rice but he didn't listen! Highly recommended place!

Lovely food at a reasonable price

Had a amazing meal that was delivered for my birthday at a holiday park. Very efficient and friendly. We ordered a selection that all turned up hot, the squid with salt & chilli was out of this world. Thank you.

Ordered a large meal on a Saturday evening and the service was really friendly and delivered hot in about half an hour, really pleased with the food and will certainly order again. Just didn't give 5 as my partner likes there to be tofu on the menu and there wasn't, other than that perfect.

Collected a meal tonight. The egg fried rice is dark,full of Chinese spice, dry and horrible. Beef curry, beef nice the curry sauce was powdery. The chow mien soaking in soy sauce. The chips were dry, over cooked, and dehydrated. Horrible

We have previously had lovely food from this take away. However their regular delivery driver left and they obviously have issues now. The last two times I’ve ordered the person on the phone has asked if I could collect instead. I can’t. You pay about £2 for delivery so if they can’t fulfil this they should be upfront and say collection only. So having been made to feel awkward about asking for delivery last time and this time it was the same but they said it would be an hour but to phone back if not there!! So an hour passed (bearing in mind it took me 20 mins to get through to order in the first place) I phoned, sorry can you phone back in 20 minutes if still not there. So I had to phone yet again, they said it’s gone out so should be 5 or 10 minutes. Call back if not there!!!!!!! I was on the verge of calling 15 mins later when it finally turned up at 8.45pm. I started trying to order this at 6.15! The chips were bone dry and hard and the sauce on mine was non existent as it had been kept warm for so long. So the moral of this story is don’t ask for delivery. We won’t be back purely for the fact that we were made to chase it up rather than them keeping us informed and they didn’t offer to deduct the delivery charge for our inconvenience.

Excellent food, one of the best Chinese Takeaway’s I have ever had. They do get very busy, especially at the weekend. If placing a telephone order on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, recommend ringing early or you might not get through. They provide walk in ordering, collection & delivery service. They take both cash & card payments, closed on Mondays!

Family takeaway this evening , food was freshly cooked and was ready in about 15 minutes , would recommend the crispy chill beef .

Down on holiday and had chinese for grandaughters birthday. Absolutely amazing chinese. Staff friendly and even delivered it to our caravan. Quick and friendly service. Would highly recomend.

Crispy duck and chicken curry could not fault it will be going again before we set off home back Accrington would recommend 100%.

Our regular Cantonese the Delightful has close. we thought we would use google reveiw to choose a new Chinese. Unfortunately where Delightful scores 5/5 this Chinese scored 1-5 very disappointed

Meh. Why is everything closed on a Tuesday (when I ordered)? Great service, fast delivery, but not worth the investment. Just wait until Wednesday.

Ordered a takeaway tonight from Hayling Chinese Takeaway, what wonderful food, one of the best Chinese meals we have had. The service is so good and delivered earlier than they said. Thoroughly recommend them, give it a try.

Food is freshly prepared and enjoyable, prices are reasonable

Not only is the food fantastic, I was able to see first hand just how much thought and effort goes into the great cuisine here (through albeit unrelated business). Not only is the kitchen PRISTINE and emaculately clean, the chef clearly takes immense pride in his work and is able to consistently deliver 5 star cuisine whilst under intense time constraints due to very high demand - and rightfully so! I cannot say enough how good the food is, how friendly and accommodating the front of house staff was and just how highly I recommend you try the food here. It is an excellent way to try great tasting, perfectly cooked, authentic Chinese cuisine. You'll definitely want to try more!

Firstly, I would give a five star review if it were not for the times we had to phone to try to get through and still failed. We tried 30 times! So we drove there and placed our order face to face. The young man was very pleasant and apologetic. Lack of staff! When we got back to our caravan, the food looked and tasted fantastic. There was plenty, all containers were full to the brim. One of the better Chinese takeaways, well done to them.

I have been hoping for a good takeaway on the island with delivery and this is it. The food was excellent, fresh, hot and tasted superb. Cannot recommend enough.

Love this Chinese, we visit the island regularly and this is our favourite restaurant. Food is amazing absolutely delicious. Staff are friendly. Love the pancake rolls. Highly recommend.

Had a number of take-aways from here and they have all been tasty and hot. The food is interesting and comes in good portions. Their delivery service is swift and if you wish to have a quick drink while you wait they will deliver it to the Yew Tree pub just across the road. Well worth a try I doubt tou will be disappointed.

We came from London on a short trip and were really impressed by the food and the service! The lady at reception was fantastic and I loved her outfit! She smiled, helped us with making choices and was partly why we returned! Good food and service! You can’t beat that! :-)
