Came across this accidentally whilst walking North to Columbia Rd and wanting to avoid traffic and crowds. Real gem. They take tea and coffee seriously, warm setting and best of all sell Pu-erh tea, which is not very common in London and was fantastic!

Замечательный и очень теплый семейный ресторанчик Лондона. Мужская пара, владеющая и обслуживающая посетителей, создала отличную атмосферу. Здесь мало туристов и много местных жителей. Небольшой выбор компенсирует качеством еду и напитков.

I have just discovered this place, such an absolute gem hidden between so many touristic, overgrowded places in the area. The wide choice of tea is great, the beer amazing however the boys serving really make for a relaxed fun environment which is all you could want from a tearoom experience.

Really enthusiastic about checking this tea room out. Looked cozy and quiet, and I'm a fan of specialty teas. However, the tea I ordered smelled like fish (or perhaps urine, as my husband suggested) and when I took my first sip I actually gagged. No kidding. The atmosphere was calm and I didn't want to make a fuss. After sitting for quite some time and hoping one of the two servers might notice my lack of sipping, I returned the almost full pot of tea and requested Earl Grey, a sure fire hit. It was ok. Upon paying, a server charged me for both teas (£5.40) and blamed me for the tea's poor taste and smell. Apparently I left the bag in too long. Didn't know I was not just a customer, but an employee as well. When I said I felt uncomfortable playing for a tea I didn't drink, a tea that was actually offensive, he reminded me it was a specialty tea. Listen, I get they're maybe new at running a business, but I was insulted. Felt i had to write this cuz the place is a bit pricey, and snobbery or smugness is, in Shoreditch, already in high supply. I'll now avoid Hawkhurst's Vault - I can make my own piss at home. Stay away in droves.

I came in here with my wife today. The staff are very friendly, the music is great. They have a pop-up raw food restaurant at the moment which serves amazing main courses (we had raw lasagne) and also slightly unusual but delicious 'raw' cakes. There is a good choice of unusual and quality teas including pu-erh which is a highly prized Chinese tea. This is the second time we have been here and I can highly recommend it.

Ok maybe £5.60 for a cuppa and a tea, but quality counts then it's a good price. Service is great and they guys know your name, and what you want.

Really love this new Tea room which serves beautiful coffee and cakes and feels really friendly and safe. Was knocked out hear music actually played direct from Vinyl. Noted that they now have live music on Sunday afternoons from 3.00pm which seems just the right time on Brick lane/ Columbia Rd as the street markets wind down. I'm a wine woman but notice that they have local beers as well. Highly recommended. Bernadette.

This is a favourite tranquil spot during a break from work at the quieter end of Brick Lane. Carefully selected, locally roasted coffee is served and made with attention to detail as well as an excellent range of speciality teas. The two guys who run it are true gents with a penchant for vinyl records; it's fun to discuss music and bring your own LP. Check out the leather sofas in the elegant basement room.

Hello, this is one of my favorite spot for a morning coffee and pastries in the neighborhood. The eclairs au chocolat in particular are my favorite. However, my only remark would be that the croissants used to be more fresh and tastier a couple of months ago, not sure if you changed anything in the way you’re baking them

Astonishingly gross lamb wrap. Malodorous lamb with far too much salt trying to hide the many problems of the thing. I hope their other stuff is edible.

Good coffee, properly prepared. Nice seating at the back and, in the warm months, outside. Staff was professional, prices are at the high end for the area.
