Havelock Tavern in Hammersmith and Fulham

I always try and pop into the Havelock whilst I'm in London. It's a great place to catch up with friends, a fine selection of beers and really good food. Add to that, the friendly staff and good atmosphere, there's not much that can go wrong. I thoroughly recommend.

Lovely friendly pub with excellent food and friendly staff. pleasant covered outdoor eating area as well as plenty of space inside and a great mid range menu. We ordered the Camembert with the caramelised onion and almonds which was delicious, and large portions too. For the mains we ordered lamb steak, the lamb was beautiful, so tender and succulent with the potatoes and the mint sauce, and the haddock (fish and chips) was the best I have ever had in a long time. They have the most amazing curry ketchup and tartare sauce with it, and for dessert we had the chocolate mousse which was great. The staff are amazing so friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend the Havelock tavern to anyone. Such a wonderful place.

Steak was great, they also have a new cocktail menu and their Aperol and rhubarb spritz went down very well. We finished the meal with a sticky toffee and it was absolutely yummy! Staff is very nice and Westfield shopping centre is just 10 minutes away.

The best Sunday roast I’ve had in a long time, porchetta was cooked perfectly and gravy was 🔥 Rob and the team were perfect hosts. Will be back for live music when it’s next on!

Excellent chicken roast and Panna Cotta

Roast beef tad overcooked but it hasnt deterred from the flavour too much. Half chicken seemed to be more bang for your buck and porchetta is very soft and tender but too fatty for me

Went for a Sunday roast, the lamb was absolutely delicious! I don’t know how they make their gravy but I could drink a whole pint of it! Rob and the team were very attentive and we had a great time!

We literally found this place as we were hungry and wanted something close by. Talk about a treat - we got a seat right by the open fire in a fireplace. Tons of locals, great warm atmosphere. And we have eaten Great food at 4 different pubs this week, and this was the most delicious! The steak and the chicken meat pie were just perfect.

Wonderful British pub experience with excellent food. Best place to take your first dive into the traditional fish and chips. Highly recommended to any travellers! Locals most likely already know what a gem they have nearby.

Great atmosphere and pub feel! Warm, friendly staff. Tremendous food, accessible but still interesting for those inclined toward more adventurous dishes.

I popped in for a solo pint, and was met with a warm & welcoming atmosphere that felt like home! The beer was excellently kept, and my evening was made by the manager dan, whose warm demeanour and cracking smile took this from a good pub to a great pub. 10/10 would recommend

I came to try the Sunday roast and it did not disappoint! I got the beef option with horseradish cream sauce which added just a slight twist on the traditional. The carrots were actually my favourite part.

I celebrated my 25th birthday party at The Havelock Tavern on a Saturday August evening - it was the perfect summer party! I had 25 friends & we had the whole garden to ourselves. The garden was the perfect size as it wasn't too big or too small, it was nice and intimate with really pretty lights, it is the perfect setting for a summer garden party. The most delicious canapes & drinks - & Rob was a dream to organise and plan the party with - super chilled, friendly and fun!! Thanks so much Havelock Tavern!

Stumbled upon this gem of a gastrop while in London account the food was terrific The service was perfect and the atmosphere was wonderful We ate here two nights in a row and everything was incredible if you go there ask for Rob he's the manager he was so friendly and helpful he walked us through the menu and made great suggestions get the beetroot hummus was out of this world .... Our server was Jade she was very nice too Go there you won't be disappointed

We booked the Havelock to watch the Euro24 game of Holland. The staff was absolutely amazing accomodating us (2 friends and daughters visiting from Holland). Food as expected: very good. And first row seats - all though not a lot of other people interested in this game ;-)

Everything is nice except the terrible fish smell in the back garden....

Experience overall was ok however we usually go to Havelock and recently we noted that food quality has been significantly worse

The Havelock Tavern is not my local pub - I was visiting friends and happened upon it. What a wonderful London gem of a pub. Off the beaten track with a lovely atmosphere of local clientele. Rob was the perfect host, providing everything we needed for a chippy tea. Definitely coming back ⭐️

It is a very nice pub, with immaculate loos, yes, I know this is a strange thing to write about first but good loos generally indicate a well-run place and it is. Friendly and courteous staff, nice ambience. Great fish and chips, the best I've had in some time...and I'm quite fussy!

This place is a gem. I’ve been back and back again every time I’m in this part of town, it’s always great beer and food.

A cracking pub serving the delicious Estrella Galicia on draught. Only had drinks on this occasion as we were time critical but the Sunday roast looked excellent. Great staff, great service, well recommended.

A really pretty garden at the back with a lovely atmosphere. Friendly service but had to wait nearly 2 hours for main courses to be served. The food was good (roast lamb) with the exception of the fish (fish and chips) which was tiny with a lot of grey fish skin in batter which was so overdone at the ends, it was inedible. Would still visit again but will be mindful of what I order.

Best pub in the area - a hidden gem in West London. A stones throw away from Shepards Bush station. Feels more like a lively village then London. Rob, noah and Ash - legends. Very dog friendly !

Its been 45 minutes since ive ordered and the food still hasn’t arrived. The pub isn’t busy and many other tables are waiting. horrible service and i doubt the food is going to help worth this long of a wait on a thursday lunch.

Lovely impromtu Thursday lunch at my favourite pub in Brook Green. Always great service, and smiley staff. A proper little village pub. Had the chicken Kyiv, delicious. And their roasts are pretty epic as well. Sensational gravy! Although, maybe not the season if this weather stays, but defo remember come autumn. Which will probably hit come July!

Arrived in London on a perfect spring day and found Havelock Tavern right in our South Kensington ‘hood! Lovely service and a gorgeous Sunday roast lunch! Couldn’t recommend it more highly for a truly delicious London pub experience!

Quiet, pleasant spot in a nice neighborhood. The service was quick and the bartender provided helpful insight on drinks and food. The flat iron steak was prepared as requested and the salmon, avocado and mange salsa with chips was quite nice. Very good value for food, drinks, and service.

Came for the French wine pairing and absolutely loved it. Rob is magnificent as a host.

Really impressed with the quick service. We have ben recently when service has been very slow which is difficult at lunchtime. And the food was very good.

Had Sunday roast here recently and dessert, all the food was fantastic! Would totally recommend.

An amazing trip to the Havelock Arms in Shepherds Bush: what a fabulous mix of great food, great natural ambiance, great attentive staff: our kids and friends had a wonderful afternoon. Really was the best roast dinner I have had in a long time. Thanks to all the team! See you next time!

Food was very good and the service was friendly and responsive

Unfortunately we had a table of screeching female Italians at the next table. We were happy to leave - usually its noisey but fine. We're back on Saturday so hopefully the Italians will be eating somewhere else. Also it does not need the music.

We had an enjoyable evening with very good food and beer. Already rebooked for the next few days.

The Sunday roast was amazing. I had the beef roast and my wife had the roast chicken. Both were great! The service and friendliness made the stay worthwhile. Families and children were there as well. A very proper neighborhood pub!

Booked for lunch while we were at the Ideal Home Show. Good food selection and we enjoyed three courses with wine. Tasty, plentiful and we presented. If we are in the area again, I am sure we will be back here.

Excellent as always. Known the Havelock for 40 years.

A frustrating evening from start to finish. As a booking of 9 we were placed along what was essentially a corridor to the outdoor smoking area. It meant that every 30 seconds or so people were brushing past with an annoyed look on their faces. Highly annoying and distracting. Then the food, a few of the starters we ordered had run out, fine but still a bit lame. Then, most of the table who had ordered burgers were informed they had no buns left and ciabatta slices were the only option. Then when the food did arrive in its unusual form they told us they had run out of some essential condiments. When asked if they could pop out to get some (being literally next door to an another pub) and pretty damn close to shops) the waiter said ‘you can if you like’. After all this they have the cheek to chuck in 12.5% service. There are some great pubs to eat and drink at in london. This is absolutely not one of them. Amazed it is still open with such rubbish grumpy service and crap food. Avoid at all costs.

The usual Thursday steak night menu was not available, staff was not as attentive as previous times.

Very cute, traditional pub. Being from the US, I expected burgers and fries on the menu but I was very wrong! The menu had many options, elevated from a US bar and the food was OUTSTANDING! The vibe of the pub feels very neighborhood and the service was excellent! 10 out of 10!
