We had an enjoyable evening with very good food and beer. Already rebooked for the next few days.

Great honest Sunday roast today and not so busy or annoying music. Solid London pub.

Very cute, traditional pub. Being from the US, I expected burgers and fries on the menu but I was very wrong! The menu had many options, elevated from a US bar and the food was OUTSTANDING! The vibe of the pub feels very neighborhood and the service was excellent! 10 out of 10!

The team at the Havelock are the best in the business- from Landlord to chef to Bar staff. Immaculate service, high quality restaurant food but not pretentious at all. My childhood local and long term favourite!

Three of us had another excellent meal last night at the Havelock, a place we go to 2-3x per month. We all had seafood dishes (cod, haddock) that were expertly prepared and delicious. The service was attentive but did not at all interfere with our conversation. The Havelock is almost always busy when we go but one can feel quite private at one’s table. There is a lively and fun atmosphere that is quite unique in this part of west London. We hope and expect the Havelock will maintain its high culinary standard and its pleasant ambience once the nearby Olympia West project is completed and various shows and spectacles begin, likely leading to an increase in visitors to the area. We hope and expect that the Havelock will maintain its high culinary standards and charm if some of the crowds expected at the new Olympia West project once it opens discovers this culinary standout of west London. The Havelock has been one of my favourite destinations for a high quality reasonably priced meal out since I moved to the (now called Olympia West) neighbourhood 12 years ago. The food has been consistently of a high standing and the service friendly and attentive. It is my first choice as a place to entertain visitors to that part of London and their impressions of the Havelock have always been very favourabl and as enthusiastic as my own. In summer there is an outdoor space for alfresco dining which further adds to the appeal of this first rate establishment. It is advisable to book ahead particularly in the evening.

So very disappointed. Checked the website to see whether they had wheelchair accessible facilities and it said it did. So planned the day out with friends and intended to eat there. Got there ordered a drink decided to check the toilet out as needed to use. There was a step up into the toilet - you could not fit a wheelchair in there and worst of all no hand rails. We had to leave and go somewhere else. It was a mission in the first place to get there with my condition and was really upsetting. Why advertise something that's not in place.This has added to my anxiety to go out.

The best Sunday Roast I’ve found in West London. Well cooked meat, good selection of tasty veg, homemade sauces and the perfect portion size. One of the few remaining survivors of the original gastro pub trend where simple quality was king, The Havelock still delivers. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

We enjoyed an early evening meal. Service was excellent and everyone so friendly. Pub was nice and busy, so a good atmosphere. We both had the fish & chips which was delicious.

Old favourite, still with a good atmosphere and buzz. Menu looked great but the food was lukewarm, which suggested maybe it was being reheated.

Consistently brilliant food in an incredibly cozy atmosphere - you really feel like you've stumbled upon somewhere special in here :) Came for a Sunday lunch with my family and Adele and all the other members of staff where kind and accommodating - proud to be able to call this my local!

Enjoyed this pub with a small but cosy courtyard. Good service tasty food, a bit different than most. A keeper.

Cosy, warm, and great staff. Inside its large, with a lovely garden and a fireplace to keep you warm. Good portion of sunday rost, and once you ask for the sauces (condiments), it is easy to see why the weekend would just fly by. Tv with sports needs tuning , but overall, it is a good place for family.

I was in the Havelock Tavern last weekend and had an amazing time. Went with a group of friends and got chatting to lady working there. Adele think her name was. she went over and above to give us a pleasant time, laughing, fast service from her, and we enjoyed the whole experience from her company to the food and ambiance. Will definitely return.

Whilst good, not nearly as good as it used to be sadly.

The food was to a good standard and good value. Although busy with Christmas parties, the management still took time to be sure individual diners were looked after. We had a great night and the time flew.

The Havelock still going strong! Specially cosy now in winter with fireplace, outdoor heating and festive feel. The food consistently great with staff and management always going the extra mile to make you feel welcome. Lovely pub (still a proper pub with food and not only a restaurant), friendly staff, good food reasonably priced.

Delicious cauliflower soup and then burata salad. A perfect winter lunch.

The Havelock is spacious and full of daylight, during the day, anyway. A great menu: nibbles, starters, toasted sandwiches mains and puddings surely cater for most tastes.

Unfortunately very disappointing. The kids burger was tiny when the bun is removed plus no veg, although we got an extra patty when we mentioned this. The kids roast was huge but drowned in beetroot gravy and the roast potatoes stodgy and inedible. When I offered the cashier feedback he was unconcerned and appeared to have heard this before. We won’t return.

Service was friendly and attentive. Burgers were excellent. Highly recommend.

Bit of an underwhelming Sunday roast in terms of portion size (quality was good) and not great value for money.

Off the beaten track location for a good old fashioned boozer turned eatery that still seem to balance the requirements for a quite pint or a meal. Food was sound enough - will definitely return. However, the attentive and efficient staff were standouts. Good find in the Shepherd’s Bush area.

I have been going to the Havelock generally with friends for nearly 20 years. The food is as good as any I have encountered in this part of London and the service is courteous and attentive. The space during the cooler months is large enough for an estimated 30-50 people at tables spaced at a respectful distance from one another. In the summers there are outdoor tables able to accommodate another 20-30 diners. The Havelock is my and several of my friends’ preferred dining destination in the Kensington Olympia area of west London.

It is an imaginative menu with sufficient choice. The staff were all very pleasant and responsive. It was quite busy but not too noisy and service was prompt.

Used to come here years ago. Delighted to discover it’s not lost its edge. Sumptuous Sunday roast, great starters & wine. Staff really friendly.

Lovely setting in a great quiet backwater of London. pleasant covered outdoor eating area as well as plenty of space inside. Good mid range menu. Service pleasant but could be a little better as chips arrived a while after we had finished the main meal!

Haven't been to the Havelock for a few years so was glad to see it hadn't changed much. On a hot later summer afternoon there are few better places to be in West London. Great service and nice people. Still very cool in both senses of the word. Roasts were not bad although food off the main menu excellent so next time I'll go for the latter. Well worth a visit.

Been back recently to the havelock tavern in brook green , and as usual a superb me cut and presented sunday rose beef with yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings including homemade horseradish sauce. Pretty busy but the staff made a space for me and i sat at the bar and also had a pint of their local bitter. I as usual the management and staff were collected professional and friendly as always and work together as a great team. Wonderful choice of drinks and lines on offer at all so promotions on cocktails for the summer. The pretty 🤩 garden to sit outside is very pleasant and well laid out.

What a lovely place! Seevice was amazing, food was very good. Roast looked a bit messy and could be served a bit more beautiful but tasted good and the veggies are so tasty. All in all, great experience. Thank you!

Pub de quartier très sympathique. Ambiance et services fort agréables. La carte est sans cesse renouvelée et les mets sont tous de qualité. Que ce soit le traditionnel fish and chips ou la viande, tout est frais et succulent. Sur la carte des vins, tout le monde pourra en trouver un à son goût (notre Rioja était impeccable).

Fish and chips from frozen tasted like polystyrene ceiling tiles… bland and flavourless. Everything seems out of a packet including the mushy peas. My friends had sloppy burgers and were unimpressed.

Food was great, service great. Not much range on menu price point ok

It was our first time here after a recommendation. We had a lovely warm welcome offered a lovely table for us and the kids . We had a great lunch with all of us commenting on the quality of the food and atmosphere . We will certainly be back and recommend to other families

Another good Lunch at the Mitre, Menu and food has always been good on my visits..perhaps that is a good reason to return. Very good value.

Perfect pub for a leisurely solo lunch. Fabulous posh fish and chips. They have their own Best Bitter, which was exceptional! It was quiet, so hard to judge the atmosphere, but it felt like it would be great.

Everything was lovely except the giant air con brutally freezed us and also our foods. We went with buggies so babies were not affected but the temp needs to be set up to the reasonable level.

We had a first class lunch here: extremely fresh fish beautifully cooked and very friendly service.

Takes a long time for the main course. The food is great.. even if they stop to offer bed and butter.. used to be a great bread. But lately the main course takes ages to come at the table..

In the past some of the meals have less than adequate but yesterday’s meal was delicious and with friendly staff. Great restful evening.

Terrific pub, great wine list and a very well thought out menu. The dishes we had - particularly the butterflied grilled mackerel- were cooked perfectly with the freshest of ingredients. Highly recommend.

The new rack of lamb dish with the smoked potatoes was exceptional last night and we look forward to more inspirational dishes appearing on the menu.

Tasty food. Can be noisy but we went early so we’re able to talk easily

Our reserved table wasn't ready for us and had to be cleaned. The poor waiter was new and had a lot to do. He failed to tell us the one and only main course vegetarian option wasn't available. The alternative was a very disappointing soupy mixture of beans and - invisible - "induja sausage". The fish and chips had horrible batter, far too much of it. There was no possibility to have any kind of hot drink, and when I asked 'why not put on the kettle for a cup of tea at least?' I was told there was no kettle, just a drinks machine. Come on, even on a very busy evening you can do better than that. I have often been to the Havelock but never had such a disappointing evening there.

Just had a wonderful Easter Sunday lunch of stuffed roast lamb shoulder with all the trimmings , which was superbly cooked seasoned and well presented. A wonderful range of beers charges and lagers on offer with excellent wines and a choice of aperitive s and other drinks suitable for the time of the year and heading into summer..... On a Friday night you can have a bottle of prosecco for £20 which quite frankly is a bargain and well chilled and presented. The management and the staff here always very professional and very friendly and will help , make suggestions and happy to engage with you.

Sunday lunch (Mother’s Day lunch), great experience, chirpy and helpful staff, tasty food, portions OK, could do with a 10% increase in portion of meat and veg. Everything we ordered tasted great and as expected. It was Mother’s Day and it didn’t feel chaotic, although I’m sure it was in the kitchen. Job well done for Mother’s Day, will defo come back in a few Sundays to give it another go.

A good neighbourhood all rounder with a nice atmosphere

Gastropubs can be more “gastro” or more “pub”. The Havelock is definitely gastro for the food which is always excellent. I usually make a detour to eat there when I come to London. On the basis of my experiences at lunchtime, I’d say for ambience it is 50/50 gastro and pub. This time I came on an Saturday evening. So it was busier and louder. However, it was atypical, as there was a big rugby match on the telly. They have a great selection of beers and a gos selection of wines by the glass. Thus, it’s a really good place to eat if you like good food and drink. Recommended!

Food was below par, served the fish dish without half of what was meant to be in it. We were compensated for it though
