I lived in Bristol for four years, and Hatter House was a constant favorite for me and my friends. The owner and his nephews are some of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll meet! After being away for a few months, I returned for my graduation, and they welcomed me like I’d never left. I absolutely love their pies, cheese, meat, and hotdog, all delicious! And their iced Spanish latte is always perfect (ask for an extra shot). This place truly kept me going through my homesick days! 💖💖💖

Bonito café. Estábamos buscando un lugar para tomar un café y bebidas después de una comida del viernes temprano por la noche. Probamos un montón de bares, pero ninguno de ellos servía café, así que nos rendimos con el alcohol y tuvimos bebidas calientes aquí en su lugar.

First time visiting Hatters House, the vanilla frappe that I tried was honestly so underwhelming but lovely staff x although I was curious why they asked us to leave saying they'll close soon at 6:40PM on a Friday although Google says they're open till 9PM on weekdays. 🤔

the most expensive and worst matcha latte i've ever had. Terrible ratio, colour was dull and had clumps.

The MOST AWFUL EXPERIENCE EVER I will never step foot over the threshold again… The “manager” has no. Comprehension of MENTAL HEALTH, Arthritic conditions or bladder incontinence. Steer well clear.

Can be very cramped and overwhelming for staff during busy hours but lovely staff and Menu. Would recommend if you would like to try a more independent café.

The coffee is the best I have ever had in my life! Absolute experts behind the bar with selection ranging from standard hot coffee to nitrogen-infused cold brew coffee (ON TAP!). Staff are very friendly but it does not stop there. They also serve mouthwatering milkshakes and ice creams that are absolutely out of this world. All of that from a local independent cafe. I came here once and now I am a regular. They also do deals in the mornings for hot coffees going as little as £2.45! Love this cafe!

Seemed nice enough. We had cold brew, which was ok, but didn’t taste super fresh. I had a nice cookie.

This is a cute cafe with a relaxing atmosphere. The lady who served us was friendly. I had a peach iced tea and cheese and tomato pasta which was delicious. There is seating outside which is nice. Definitely worth a visit.

En realidad nos gusta este café para el café y el pastel. Sin embargo llegamos hoy a eso de las 9 : 45 am, 45 minutos después de la apertura anunciada y se les dijo que no podían servirnos ya que estaban llegando tarde. No hubo ningún esfuerzo para tratar de acomodar o servir, nos alejamos. Luego volvió a revisarse dos veces cuando podrían estar sirviendo, la persona dentro no podía molestarse o descuidarse por ayudar.

maple pecan pastry (2.20£) is so good, loved it and would be back for it. also this cafe closes at 9PM, which is really late for cafes in the area and that’s great for those who are looking for somewhere to chill or work in the evening

Charming coffee shop in a good central location with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are friendly and have created a lovely calm atmosphere. Music isn't too intrusive. The flat white was good, not too bitter or sour. I had a toastie which wasn't anything amazing but I appreciated the £6 toastie deal, great value. Their cake offerings looked really good and they had a selection of small meals that could be heated up.

Gets a bit busy (understandably) and sometimes I feel like the staff is too overworked but I must say their soft seating is very comfy and I love the look of the cafe. The plain waffle and the hot oat milk latte ate my forever go-to's. We've come here probably 50+ times now and it's always nice, despite the business. It's where we go to escape the loud packed city centre.

Came in, very friendly atmosphere, great customer service, ordered a Banana Milkshake came very quick and the taste is out of this world a proper old school tasty milkshake, their menu looks amazing and my first impression of this place is blown away, I will be back and hope to be a regular.

Great cafe. Had a cappuccino, best coffee I’ve had for a while. The lemon drizzle cake was delicious. The cake was very moist, a good sized portion too. If return to visit I’ll definitely return.

Lovely little find, we had passed it several times on our way back and forth to the harbourside, so we thought let's give it a go. We're so glad we did. We both had a cold drink and a cheese and tomato toastie, was reasonsbly priced, good quality food and piping hot. We sat inside which was pleasant, clean and the staff were friendly. Lovely place.

A customer from India is in awe with your cafe. I never had such an amazing coffee in my entire life. I really miss the biscoff biscuits, cookies, hazelnut hot chocolate and much more. I cannot stop praising about your coffee house. I loved it completely🩷❤️.

Lovely little cafe. We went here twice in the week. Frappes were good, cookies and cream one was a but too sweet for me, however the biscoff was amazing. We also tried some Banana bread, was very nice.

Excellent atmosphere, coffee, food, and staff!

I ordered a cheese, ham and tomato panini. It was very basic, no salad/ crisps. Cost £5.95, excluding drink. The female servers were pretty miserable. The male guy was lovely. The place itself is very nice with a pleasant outdoor seating area. I think I would just order a coffee next time though.

20 minutes wait for 2 coffees is unacceptable- especially when others who paid after were served coffee. After 10 mins we asked staff who seemed to have forgotten but didn't rush to fix the issue. Eta: The manager noticed this review and offered us some cake as apology which was nice

The food is fantastic. The staff is very pleasant and the food was served quickly. Also, the prices are very cheap, unlike other overpriced cafes. Very comforting, and very hygienic. Definitely recommend!😍

Really good coffee shop in the centre of Bristol. We had chocolate and hazelnut chocolate which were really impressive. The place is cosy and the staff friendly.

Higher quality than the usual nero or Coffee#1. Darker and tastier hot chocolate. Good change if you are tired of the usual coffee shops.

A male member of staff was extremely rude here. He just called me 'A! The payment was not successful'. What is 'A'? You just called me 'A'? Who thinks who you are? Can't you say 'excuse me'?

I was unfortunately forced out within 10 minutes of ordering and receiving food and drink because I was a solo diner and there was a customer with 2 children who had nowhere else to sit - I would like to specify I was sitting on a narrow tall stool with nowhere to leave my belongings due to lack of coat hanging facilities. Conveniently no one else in the cafe in larger groups were asked to leave. I will not be back.

A beautiful place with a huge range of drinks and snacks! Vegan options too! My father had the Spanish latte and said it was incredible, so a must try if you do go! Smoothies, waffles, cakes, hot drinks, pasties etc so much choice

I dropped by here enticed by the Cafe Con Leche in the window with my oldest daughter , we both had some light food, and I returned the next day with both my daughters for another cup of Spanish Latte, very nice, polite, good service , good location and food and drink were good. Felt a bit pricey, but I guess that's Bristol. Certainly when visiting Bristol again I will come back.

Had the pleasure of visiting them this morning (Sunday). The feel of the place is excellent, chilled out and some lovely graffiti on the wall. Had a Moche and it was like smooth velvet. One of the best I’ve ever had. Staff were welcoming and always had a smile. Would highly recommend to anyone that is passing by. Next time I visit I’ll have to try one of their waffles.

Really cute place and chill to visit dor coffee and food. The day we went was right after new years and it was still quite busy. Coffee was really nice same with the spinach pies, we also tried the cheese and onion pie that good too. Definitely recommend

Friendly staff, lovely blueberry muffins, and the best cup of tea of my life, that I can remember (not exaggerating, it really was lovely).

Popped in here a couple of times and whilst it’s pretty average for food and drink the toilet is one of the worst I’ve seen in terms of cleanliness - absolutely vile so I wouldn’t recommend on that basis alone.

10/10 Hatters house cafe is truly a hidden gem with its relaxing atmosphere, absolutely amazing coffee and simply put, beautiful food. Outstanding quality for your money, served by the most down to earth, friendly faces you could ever ask for. I have not found another coffee shop quite like this one, that clearly understands coffee and service! 10/10 a great place to take for dates, quick drinks or even to sit and work in!

Charlotte and I popped in here ahead of meeting our friend Caitlin. We were in much needed of a caffienated beverage and a sit down. I got a very nice cup of tea and Lotts got a chai latte (one of the best of her life!). It was cosy enough and we felt very relaxed. However. It was pricey and the cakes didn't even get a look in due to their extortionate price to portion ratio.

Great service, great coffee (lovely foam (cat and bear)), halloumi wrap and was offered for it to be warmed up and panini which were nice.

Came here with my girlfriend while out in Bristol, we loved the atmosphere, variety, AC and overall friendly and funny nature of the staff that we came back for a second time before leaving. We would definitely recommend this to any of our friends. Such an amazing place. P.S. We recommend the cookies and cream frappe!
